Simply fabulous!! I loved this book, Alexa Wayne is a awesome storyteller! Coralie is a writer who writes about haunted house’s and supernatural beings and one night when she is out walking she is suddenly surrounded by vampires and the world she thought of just fantasy becomes very real. When Lautaro their leader decides to make coralie his next meal damian Blackwood comes to her rescue claiming she’s his wife, but that night is a blur, when Coralie awakens in damian’s home with only bits and pieces of what has happened.THEIR is someone close to Damian who is mind controlling not only coralie and causing her to fear Damian every time he tries to touch her,and it is affecting his guards and other of his people too! Is it the head of his guard the caring and quite Ryan or the ex blood donor/girlfriend sarah or has lautaro found away to get back at Damian for taking coralie away from him!! The chemistry between Damien and coralie is hot!! And no matter how much coralie fights to not be pulled into damian’s sensual embrace, she’s falling for this sexy vampire hook, line and sinker!! I can’t wait to read more from this writer.
Coralie gets brought into the real world of the paranormal that she writes about. Damien the vampire saves her from his enemy by saying that she is his fiancé. Then all heck breaks lose. Can these two have a HEA? Or will chaos and death be their future? Interesting paranormal story.

Mrs. Blackwood by A. Wayne is a different take on the vampire myth of Dracula. This story is very unusual a quite enthralling once you begin to read it. In this tale, Damian Blackwood saves Coralie from another vampire who wants to use her for his own gain. However, to save her life he must marry her and make her he wife. This is the beginning of a suspense filled story full of twists and turns. Anyone who enjoys a good suspenseful tale with a hint of mystery will love this book as much as I did.
Five bloody stars for a gripping read!
If you like paranormal and the myths and legends around vampires, you’ll love this book.
Shy little introverted Coralie is fascinated by haunted houses and vampires, but never in her boldest dreams did she expect these myths to be true – until she stumbles right into them.
Her rescue by Damian Blackwood plunges her into a world of horror and darkness, intrigues and feuds. But not only that. Someone also messes with her mind, resulting in violent mood swings, and the inability to discern between friend and foe.
Is her saviour who he claims to be? Is falling in love with charismatic Damian really a good idea, or is someone manipulating her because of her family secret?
I guess, you need to read the book to find out 🙂
I found myself clued to the turn of every page with this PNR there is twists and turns, betrayal, danger and that’s just the beginning. The characters are well thought out and engaging. The storyline is intriguing and awesome.

I absolutely adored this gothic read.
When Coralie is getting ready for her annual trip, she doesn’t anticipate the fact that she might never return home. What starts as a normal day quickly takes a turn for the worst when she is stumbled across by a vampire who has ill wishes for her. Another vampire saves her, but to make sure she stays that way, he must marry her.
Now, it’s not very often that I get the chance to read and review gothic fiction, but it’s books like this that make me want to read more into the genre. Coralie was a very likeable character. Even when she was in the throes of danger, I liked that she was quick on her feet. When her world is turned upside down, she has a unique way of navigating herself through it.
As well as well-fleshed out characters, I loved the descriptions of the settings. The entire story had a very creepy Edgar Allen Poe feel that made the story even more intriguing. There is plenty of action, suspense, and romance, and if vampires aren’t your cup of tea, well, there are werewolves too!
Well worth a read!
