He was gorgeous, older, and had the worst reputation in all of England. The way he looked at me sent shivers down my spine. Our first meeting was at a wedding, where he followed me outside and kissed me.Our second meeting ended in a huge fight with me kicking him out.Our third meeting, I went on a double, blind date. You can imagine my surprise when I saw familiar blue eyes across the table opposite … blue eyes across the table opposite my friend.
Oh….no….
He was sarcastic and witty and damn,
If he wasn’t the sexiest bastard I ever laid eyes on.
Then he sent me an email listing thirty reasons
why I should go on a date with him.
I was expecting a suave and intelligent list.
Curious, I read on.
Reason 1 – I have white teeth
Reason 2 – I love my grandma
Reason 3 – I have a size 13 shoe – you do the math.
The man’s a fool, his list was some of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read.
And the funniest.
We laughed hard…and loved harder.
You can outrun everything……except your past.
And his has caught up.
Wild handsome players don’t fall for innocent girls like me,
Or do they?

Anndd that makes #4 for me in the TL Swan’s books that I have read.
Another amazing book
Another grumpy ass man that I could not get enough of!! haha
I will share that I did almost throw my kindle a time or two, but I controlled myself!! haha
Thank you for writing TL Swan…I am sooo obsessed!!! xoxo
Mister…dreamy is more like it!
Mr. Spencer is a definite catch but there only one sm-giant problem! He can out run most women who have tried to catch him. There is only one woman for this reformed bachelor and he is going to prove it.
It’s sexy how much he lovers her. It’s dreamy the way he takes care of her. My favorite part though is the way this man loves. Whole heartedly, unabashedly, and without remorse…
Mr. Spencer, I would definitely be your Little any day!
5* Sexy Spencer Stars
I get excited when I see that T.L. Swan has released another book. I love her writing style and her books are always fun to read and damn sexy.
The story of Spencer and Charlotte is a quick easy flowing read. I loved the banter between the two and I had many laugh out loud moments. The story also has some mild angst to it for good measure. It was also super steamy. It was great to be able to catch up with some of the past characters from her previous books and see where they are at in their lives.
I highly recommend this wonderful read, it is a great book to relax and read over a weekend.
The princess and the playboy, we’ve read this trope before, but not the way TL Swan wants us to see it. If you have read any of my prior reviews you know that I am a huge fan of TL Swan, the way she writes her characters is emotionally brilliant. They have so many layers of strengths and weaknesses that just make them more real and believable.
We met Spencer Jones in Mr. Masters and he is a rake, I mean he’s beautiful, rich and single and simply enjoying his life unapologetically. Then one night he sees her, and all he knows is that he needs her in his life.
Take this journey with these two, watch their love grow and see how it changes them and their outlooks on everything.
You are going to get a little drama, a lot of heat and the perfect amount of heart!
Another book from this author that I could not put down!! A fabulous read. I am loving this series and can’t wait to start Sebastian’s story.
Gahhh! T.L Swan sure knows how to entertain a heart! I giggled, swooned and worried! Explosive and exciting! Wonderful book!!
“Who knew that the biggest player in all of England would become my hero?”
I think the Mr series has quickly become one of my all time favourite romance series! I am in love with every single character, and this continued into Mr Spencer.
(This book can be read as a standalone however I do recommend reading Mr Masters first).
37 year old Spencer Jones is a handsome wealthy playboy, who is here for a good time more so than a long time. Bring in the introduction of 24 year old Lady Charlotte, a well guarded “princess” who is over protected by her older brother and father after the unexpected passing of her mother.
Spencer & Charlotte experience the “love at first sight”. Even if Charlotte tries to deny it, she can’t stay away from the sexy handsome devil that is Spencer. Until the night she finally lets him in, and she tells him she is a virgin. Spencer then can’t get out of the room fast enough, a mistake he then regrets. Of course fate brings them back together, and they find themselves drawn to each other like no other before.
The character growth Spencer & Charlotte bring out of each other is not only addictive, but also true love. They fight, they make up, they compromise and they truly support each other.
Until a truth from Spencer’s past comes alight, which causes Charlotte to run.
Unfortunately their growth is then destroyed and this is why I have to lose half a star for my review. Spencer was always truly honest with Charlotte, he always had her best interests at heart and made sure she was put first. And for Charlotte to doubt that over 1x truth from his past which was a mistake that he regrets, truly made me so angry. I was actually happy that Spencer then takes some time to get over it before making a big move ( if you get my gist for those who have read it 😉 )
Thanks again Tee for such a great world and characters. 4.5 / 5 Stars with 4 / 5 Steam!
OMG SPENCE.
Spencer, Spencer, Spencer you wanted Charlotte so badly from the start I could feel it through the pages. Tee once again delivers a fantastic book. Spencer is the reformed playboy who just can’t stop pursuing Charlotte, the sheltered heiress. Their chemistry is off the charts from the start but Charlotte is a virgin and Spence is well and truly spooked by this. He thinks he’s not worthy of her and there begins the miscommunications. She is convinced he is repulsed by her virginity and the game of cat and mouse is off to a rip roaring start. What happens next is a love story with a bit of everything. Mischief, romance, coaching, extravagance, friendship, love and big ol’ helping of bedroom, shower, pool, wall, you name it they did it, action! There are missed opportunities, misunderstandings, passing ships and lots of trying to do the best for the other even if it’s what neither of them truly want. I have been on a real Tee binge and I am loving how she sucks you into her book worlds with her amazing descriptions, painting the scene so you feel like you are there and laying out emotions in a way that you feel you are well and truly in the characters’ heads. I loved reading Spencer and Charlotte’s story and cannot wait for Mr Garcia out later this year, Sebastian’s story and the last in this group of 3 guys that are thick as thieves.
Once again Tee has grabbed me from start to finish. Read this book, you won’t be sorry you did.
is this the best romance I’ve ever read? No. Is it entertaining? Yes. There’s a lot of angst, recrim8nations, posturing, overbearing family and steaminess. The womanizer and the protected innocent really shouldn’t click, but they do. Spencer Jones reputation is well earned, often embellished and definitely precedes him. But one look at Charlotte Prescott and he’s a goner. Charlotte is coddled, over protected and sheltered by her all male family. She yearns to just live a normal life. As if! Spencer excites her in a way she’s never felt before. He teaches her how to laugh, be strong, independent and carefree while they forge a relationship. It would all be perfect if his past didn’t keep slapping her in the face.
This is easy one of my favorite reads this year.
We follow Charlotte and Spencer. Charlotte comes from a family of money and Spencer is a business owner of his own company. There past cross on a wedding. Charlotte’s friends tell her from the start to stay away from Spencer because he is a player manwhore and a womanizer. He is also older then Charlotte. But of course they can’t stay away from each other. Their relationship moves on in a fast paced and they acknowledge that. Even thought they move on a fast paced it wasn’t a factor that made the book any less if anything it made there relationship more intense.
I loved reading about Spencer and Charlotte, even though Spencer first gets introduced as a womanizer he is nothing but sweet and caring for Charlotte.
The choices he made was with Charlotte in his mind. Both they are figuring out the relationship aspect of being together, because for the both of them this is the first time that they are involved in a serious relationship.
Loved all your books
Mr Spencer oh how I love thee. He’s a pretty cool dude with a great sense of humour. Charlotte and Spencer have an instant attraction. I got the attraction but I didn’t quite get why he became so obsessed so quickly. She’s attracted to Spencer why wouldn’t she be, blonde, gorgeous, abs for days. She’s a young girl and he’s a much older gentleman. She’s still trying to find her way, not helped by her father and brother with their way over the top overprotectiveness. Like geez give the girl some breathing room. It was suffocating and insulting the way they treated her like a child. The way Spencer stood up to her brother and father for disrespecting her was endearing. Her friend Beth is hilarious, I loved their witty banters. The brohood of Spencer, Masters and Sebastian. These guys are solid and have each other’s back. I enjoyed the epilogue I love knowing what happens to the characters.
TL Swan has smashed it with Mr Spencer!
Move over Joshua Stanton! I have a new book boyfriend and his name is Mr Spencer Jones. TL Swan has surpassed everything else I have read from her with this latest offering. Mr Spencer is the perfect mix of fun, drama, excitement, love, sex and heartbreak all written in the unmistakable, enthralling style of TL Swan. Hang on to your knickers ladies Mr Spencer has arrived! I highly recommend you read this book.
Loved the story and will read more by this author
Mr Spencer is a must read! The story of Spence and Charlotte was an emotional rollercoaster with twist and turns which I love in a story. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
Each time I read one – I think… man I need to meet these people. Thanks for bringing them to life. Thank you for letting us cry, laugh, cringe, and hope with each one!
Wow, another amazing story.
This time about Spencer, the known womanizer in Mr Masters. And I loved it from first page.
I loved how Spencer and Charlotte made them both better.
I really enjoyed this story and the dynamics.
I highly recommend it. Read review
Spencer Jones and Charlotte Preston what a combination. I have to admit I did get a bit irritated with Spencer in the beginning but started warming up to him as the story progressed. I loved this book, it was a page turner from the beginning.
TL Swan, what an awesome author. I have read all of her books and loved them all. If I could give more than a 5 star rating I would. Looking for a new author I suggest you start with TL Swan and read all her fantastic books.
I have to say I was excited to read Mr. Spencer after I read Mr. Masters, but this book was a disappointment, to be honest. I did not like Spencer at all. I actually stopped reading this book and made myself go back to it. I do enjoy TL as an author but this one was just not enjoyable.
