This contemporary romance keeps readers riveted to the pages as a dental hygienist and tattoo artist is given the attention that her submissive side needs. Jazz and Blake are strong, captivating characters that easily grab readers attention and their give and take romance is one where both the hero and the heroine benefit from the growing relationship as they navigate the ins and outs of their emotional issues and their personalities. The romance is sweet, the passion is scorching and the relationship is full of sassy attitude and clashes of wills that provide chuckles and entertainment.
The plot is steady paced and flow smoothly as the suspense of this relationship moves forward. Blake is not usually attracted to flamboyant and bold women and Jazz thought she had completely suppressed her submissive side which keeps thing interesting throughout the romance, but at the same time kept the relationship see sawing from sweet to bdsm almost as if the characters couldn’t make up their minds which way to go. Also, this kind of made Blake out to be a “want things his way” type of guy as he would say one thing and then also immediately start pushing things back his way. Even with that, the story was entertaining and the author’s well written words brought the characters to vibrant life making it easy for readers to become caught up in the story.
This was my first book by Vonnie Davis, and this will be my last book by Vonnie Davis. Something about this book just didn’t jive with me. I was kind of sad because I had checked out the review on Vonnie’s work prior to me requesting Mr. Oh.
If you are a Vonnie Davis fan, go read this book. If you have never read a Vonnie Davis, take my thoughts with a grain of salt. It’s just my opinion and you my thing something different.
Mr. OH by Vonnie Davis is the First book in the Billionaire Doms series. This is the story of Jazmine “Jazz” Archer and Blake O’Hearn.
Jazz and Blake are so totally different but that didn’t stop them from being attracted to each other when they happen to meet on a layover. Both had been through allot had some trust issue and where Blake was a conservative Dom, Jazz was the colorful non-conservative women. But Jazz hadn’t been true to her submissive side which Blake seem to bring out more.
Overall this was a fun read that I really enjoyed.
**I received Mr. Oh from Net Galley and Wild Rose Press in exchange for a honest and voluntary review**
Mr. Oh by Vonnie Davis is hopefully a beginning of a new series by the author. I have read her Black Eagle Ops series and loved each one. So I jumped at a chance to read and review Mr. Oh. You won’t be disappointed and I loved this book so I’d give this book 4.8 stars.
When Blake O’Hearn is standing behind Jazz Archer when their flight is cancelled and enjoying see her talk to the gate agent that she needs a new flight. (Never fear she gets her back in an interesting way) Being the Dom he’s sure that Jazz is a submissive and he’s VERY interested. But it will take the majority of the book to convince her that her previous experience is not how he would be. He’s a billionaire who has made his uncle’s shipping company one of the biggest one in the US. But he doesn’t do relationships due to the loss of his father and mother’s photo journalist career and it’s one thing that Jazz wants can he learn to love and will they be able to stay together for the long run?
Jasmine Archer needs her flight to be re-booked as she can’t afford to lose her dental hygienist job that she just started so when she meets Blake while trying to find their new gate somehow she knows that he’s a Dom and loves to play. She isn’t interested as her former BF didn’t know what he was doing and hurt her. But he also refuses to let her go showing up at her other job as a tattooist at her cousin’s shop. Luckily Blake is there to convince him that Jazz is his girl now. However, it will take some heavy work between Blake and his security staff to finally get him to leave. But when a drug addict breaks into her dental office and starts shooting Blake will finally realize he can’t live without her.
Yes, there were moments when you wanted to smack Blake so he’d understand that he loved her but all in all this is a very enjoyable story.
I loved this book!
I really enjoyed this book! Not my usual genre, but because it was from Vonnie Davis I gave it a read. It is now one of my favorites!
