You know what? I say this every single time, but this one really is my favourite! I swear it this time! Mr. October is so unbelievably swoonworthy.
Masen Lennox is a superstar. Not only that, he’s a bad boy superstar musician. AND, he needs a fake girlfriend to get his reputation on the up again.
Billie has no idea what she’s getting herself into when she accepts the position. She’s been a fan of his for a while, and it’s oh so easy to fall for the moody superstar, but is it just pretend, or have they found the real deal?
These guys are hot as hell together. There is this chemistry that brews right from the get go, and it’s impossible to deny. Masen has his demons though, and he doesn’t make things easy.
And can I get a shout out for Josh? Hello sailor! The best friend who is so quirky and lovable. He needs his own story!
I have loved each and every one of Nicoles Calendar boys, but Mr October has my heart…She had me at rocker, they are my version of crack, my kryptonite.
There is something good about a bad boy, and Masen is ohhhh soooo GOOD.
This is one of those all too rare books that make you lose track of time, but you don’t care because it was worth it.
I adore this series so much!! Billie and Masen have incredible chemistry. He was a bit hard to like for me but by the end, I was all in. I also loved Josh and Avery. Fantastic addition to the series!

Masen And Billie’s Story Gets Under Your Skin In A Delicious Way! Sweet And Emotional But Characters Lack Depth.
Messy-haired rocker Masen Lennox, twenty-three, is a poster boy for the phrase ‘I don’t care.’ He is an alpha bad boy through and through – cold, unwelcoming, confusing, and intimidating. Nobody gets close to him by design, except perhaps for his childhood best friend Josh, who comes and goes like they are housemates and generally causes all sorts of trouble. The only person in the business Masen will listen to is his long-time manager Chuck. As long as Masen can make music, he pretty much tunes the rest of it out.
If what Chuck says is true, his label wants to drop him even after finishing the most recent thirty day program and being ninety days sober following his very public drunken display. He has an addictive personality, and alcohol ranks second next to music, his first addiction. The only reason he didn’t succumb to drugs is Josh’s interference. Despite his talent, the label sees him as a liability.
At a meeting with his label, Chuck explains the label will give Masen a chance to clean up his reputation if he agrees to make appearances with a steady girlfriend. Out of options, Masen agrees but insists on choosing the brunette coffee girl that has stolen his attention. He doesn’t even like brunettes, but he knows immediately that she is the one.
Billie Tatum, about nineteen, has an internship at a big music label and is working on a degree in music. Her shyness is crippling at times, but she has a feisty side and is quite competent in verbal sparring.
When called into the glass-walled conference room that her teenage crush has been sitting in, she never imagines she will allow herself to be talked into being Masen Lennox’s fake girlfriend. Before she knows it, she has moved in with him and finds herself completely alone in his big house. She wonders how she will ever be able to fake being his girlfriend when they’ve bareky even spoken.
Masen and Billie’s story gets under your skin in a delicious way. Masen has spent his life building walls, and having Billie move into his home is a real challenge. He has trouble having conversations – he is much more comfortable expressing himself with music. She is sweet, and wrong for him because as much as he wants her, he isn’t capable of relationships. He will hurt her if he caves to desire, and he doesn’t want to hurt her. Billie isn’t deluded into expecting anything real to become of her arrangement, but that doesn’t eliminate all hope, either. Yet every time they get closer, Masen abruptly pulls away. It is wonderful watching Masen’s character unfold just enough – and witnessing Billie’s ability to get through to the otherwise untouchable and broken Masen. They deserve their HFN!
This easy read is a sweet and emotional journey. It is well-written. The POV alternates between Masen and Billie. The plot is simple but sufficent for the length. The characters lack depth; they are developed just enough to have a glimpse of the past, but details are lacking and questions remain. The characters are nonetheless written very well in the present tense, and it is easy to fall in love with Masen and Billie. Their best friends, Josh and Avery, are also enjoyable. Josh is a riot. They deserve a book! This book is the tenth in the Calendar Boys series, though it reads perfectly as a stand-alone. I rate this book 4.5 stars.

He never knew that love changes a person for the better with the right person. They fought feelings and wasnt aware until it was pointed out to them. Love does that to you when you least expect it.

Rock on Mr October!
Nicole Goodin has combined two of my favourite tropes in this book for Mr. October; Rockers and Fake Relationships!!
I loved Masen and Billie in this book. She is a hard case, and I can only imagine the fan-girling moments where she initially met her rockstar hero! The humour is on point, and the sexy chemistry was all there.
I do have to admit that Josh and Avery almost stole the show as the best friends of our couple. Those two were larger than life, and while they kept it real for their friends, they absolutely would go to the wire to defend or protect them.
Heaps of fun to read and another great instalment in this Calendar Boys Collection! 4.5 Stars
Mr October (Calendar Boys #10) – Nicole S Goodin
Nicole Goodins Calendar Boys just keep me coming back for more.
This month, we meet Mason Lennox, rock star, recovering alcoholic and all round alpha bad boy.
He’s in serious need of an image upgrade after creating his own dramas so without much thought he proposes a deal with music industry intern Billie to reinvent his reputation.
Billie is struggling with her new job, nervous and shy and definitely not ready to take on the rock god she’s in awe of.
A seriously fun, sexy and sizzling read in a mega- brilliant series. Yes, I just invented a new descriptor for the Calendar Boys.
Loved Mason and Billies chemistry and seriously think Mason’s pal, Josh, should get some page time in his own book…… he’s hilarious.
This entire series has firmly planted itself in my favourites list for 2019.
Sexy Rock Star!
This is another fantastic and sexy story from Nicole. Who doesn’t love a sexy, growly, grumpy rock star! Masen is the perfect bad boy rock star but his image needs fixing. In comes Billie, the perfect sweet and seemingly innocent pretend girlfriend. These two together are amazing. Their chemistry was intoxicating. I couldn’t get enough of them.
Everything about this story was fantastic. The intense chemistry and heat coming off of the main characters blew my kindle up and their banter and playfulness was so sweet. I loved everything about it.
Highly recommend this whole series.
Mr October
Mr October aka ‘hot to trot’ sexy arsed Rockstar Mason. Man! He is one complicated dude but I just couldn’t help myself for rooting for him as he tries to conquer his demons as his career is threatened.
Cue Billie…. Miss Internship, with one sassy fiesty personality. She’s sweet and sexy and just what Masen needs – one fake girlfriend!
I loved this Rockstar Romance. My heart went out to the turmoil that Masen had but admired the tenacity of Billie.
This was a superbly enjoyable read. One that once I’d started, I didn’t put down. 10/10 for Masen & Billie!!
Ahh once again this author has done it. This is a fantastic story. Highly recommend this series
Amazing! I love the newest story in Calendar Boys! Mr. October was the perfect addition to one of my favorite series EVER! Every story is so different, but all of them perfect! A story where a rockstar needs a fake girlfriend – SIGN ME UP! This story gave me all the feels! LOVED!! FIVE STARS!!
I’m not normally a huge Rock Star reader but I will read anything Nicole S. Goodin throws my way. I did, however, LOVE this one!
Not only did we get sex on legs Masen but his hot friend too! Yum.
Quick, easy read with a side of hotness- a perfect read for any occasion.
The story of a rock star Masen and his fake girl friend Billie is sweet and heartwarming. It is wonderful to see the changes in Masen after Billie comes along. Even though I don’t care for the cover photo, I am glad I didn’t give up on the book because of it.

This is my first book by Nicole Goodin and after reading this I know I’ll be picking up her other books. I don’t know why it took me so long to read one of her stories but now I know I’ll be hooked. This story flowed so well and the characters were believable and lovable and tortured but also so funny. I hope there’s a story or novella for Jose and Avery. I love that Masen feels broken and that the woman was the one to not give up.

Enter Mr October – Masen Lennox, bad boy rock star, fresh out of rehab and in need of a makeover before his record label drops him because of his antics. He’s heard it all before and is not taking it any more seriously this time until his PR people tell him that he has to have a girlfriend to clean up his image. As he has no intention of finding one they find one for him – enter Billie who works for the record company and is totally shocked to find herself in the role of Masen’s fake girlfriend.
This looks like a recipe for disaster, but for a million dollars Billie is willing to give it a try. As Billie starts to live in the lap of luxury she finds out that Masen is not how she expected him to be. He’s not the party person she expected but seems more subdued, and he pretty much ignores her until his friend Josh arrives and stirs things up.
A pretty fast paced read that I couldn’t put down, funny in parts, very hot and sexy, but also sad as we watch Masen struggle to deny his feelings for Billie. A great portrayal of a tormented rock star and the girl who tames him with wonderful supporting characters in Josh and Avery. I love rock star romances do this was definitely one of my favourites in the series.
There are no words to describe how much I LOVE this calendar boys series and this book! Nicole has done it again and added another amazing story to her growing list of awesomeness! From the very second I started reading I was hooked and unable to put this book down. I LOVED Masen! He was broody and angry and so full of himself, but at the same time he had such a caring sensitive side. I was’t sure where this story line was going to go, but I was definitely taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions getting to the end.
This is a must read book for sure!

I loved this new “Calendar Boys” story with the broody and stoic rock star in much need of an image make over. This story is well written and extremely captivating. It hooked from the beginning when he sees the coffee girl with sass and spunk. He wants her to play his fake girlfriend to help improve his damage reputation. This is a good story one that pulls at your heart strings. There is much more to this rocker than meets the eyes. I love Billie and Mase’s story. This is a fun story but also emotional with witty banter, passion and steam. The secondary characters, Avery and Josh, add so much to this story. My heart bleeds for Mase. I just want to applaud Morris, the final urging, push and support she needs to go back. Great story and wonderful characters!! Bring on Mr. November! I am loving these “Calendar Boys”!!!!!
I really like this series and look forward to getting my new installment every month and Mason’s story did not disappoint it is a fantastic addition to the series. Masen and Billie meet when he needs a fake girlfriend to help his image after leaving rehab, she is a huge fan so jumps at the chance but it is not long before feelings start to develop between them. I really enjoyed their story these two were smoking hot together.
Everyone loves a rockstar who is full of himself…
….then meets a someone who sets his world off tilt.
Love the banter, the chemistry, the attitude…
This series, is amazing, love how each book is complete standalone..
Mr. October Arc Review
Nicole S. Goodin is one of my favorite authors so when I got an e-mail from her I was super excited!! I’m so happy I got the opportunity to read and give my review for this one. I’m no stranger to rock star romance books they are my addiction. Mr. October fed my much needed desires with a music superstar like Masen Lennox how could you go wrong?
Masen is a bad boy rock star with a bad reputation after having to be in rehab for his alcohol addiction. Now that he is out he has to clean up his act or his career will be as good as dead. With a suggestion from his PR and manager Masen has to get a fake girlfriend. Relationships and love isn’t his thing but once his eyes land on Billie Tatum it’s her or no one. Billie is an intern and a fan of Masen’s but still not confident about her job as his fake girlfriend. Why her? After an offer of a million dollars all she can say is yes. Little did she know she would have to live with Masen as part of the deal. Soon the lines between fake and real blur and Billie knows she loves Masen but can he love her back?
Such an addictive story with amazing characters. A 5 star read for me.
