“I hereby vow to never date a rebel.”Those were the words that shaped Tessa Berry’s entire dating life the moment she vowed with her best friends in high school to never date a bad boy. Each of them took a pledge to never date a Mr. Wrong…and Morgan McKenzie was Tessa’s wrong. But when her best friends bring up the pact and come up with a challenge to go after their Mr. Wrongs before they turn … before they turn thirty, Tessa realizes they’re all in over their heads and Tessa must teach her friends a lesson.
But when Tessa’s Mr. Wrong becomes her fake fiancé, she wonders if she made the biggest mistake of her life.
After all, love isn’t a fake emotion, even if the relationship is, right?

Tessa & her friends decide that it’s time to give Mr. Wrong a try, which is where Maddox comes in. He’s invited by her friends to her birthday party, since they believe she had a crush on him in high school (but she had a crush on his brother, really). Tessa then decides to use him (Mr. Mistake) & do a prank on her friends to teach them a lesson.
With both of them in on the plan, they can continue to act within the boundaries of their fake relationship… & kissing, is well, just for research, right? Pretending to sleep in the same room to continue to trick her friends is also okay, right?
It’s quite cute when Tessa realizes that when she was young, she idolized her brother, but Maddox is the one who gave her white roses & had a crush on her.
Loved the fake marriage proposal…
But when do you know if a fake engagement becomes real?
Tessa has her own reasons for this charade, but when she discovers Maddox’s reasons, things become quite serious…
“Would this fantasy start a new reality for us?”

A pack made in high school and three friends determined to break it now that they are almost thirty. It’s a light, funny, and sweet rom-com, Tessa and Maddox were perfect for each other even if it started as pretend.

Mr. Mistake by Karice Bolton is the first book in her Mr. Mistake Romance series and it is a wonderful romance that offers lots of small town charm, humor, meddling friends and love. This is Tessa and Maddox story and they are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. and some romance as this couples relationship evolves into more than they ever imagined. This is the book that I have read by Karice Bolton and will not be the last! Can’t wait to read the whole series!

Light, fun and frequently funny, Mr Mistake is a cute rom com that shows sometimes mistakes can lead to good things. The story follows Tessa, a woman who is about to turn thirty. When she was 16, her group of friends all made vows about the type of man they would never marry, and now that they’re all still single years later, her friends think it’s time to stop looking for Mr Right and give Mr Wrong a try. For Tessa, Mr Wrong was the high school bad boy, so her friends try to set her up with him – only they wind up finding the wrong brother. Maddox had a crush on Tessa in high school, but she never noticed him because she was too busy paying attention to his bad boy brother. When her friends get a little too enthusiastic about her chances with Maddox, Tessa decides to play a joke on them and pretend that it was instalove. But as time goes by and Tessa begins to spend more time with Maddox, she wonders if her friends were actually right the whole time.
It’s a cute story, light and fun. Maddox is the ideal guy – so sweet and caring, rich and handsome. He’s unsure as to why Tessa won’t give them a real chance, but he plays along with the fake romance. I would’ve enjoyed the story a lot more if it was told from both of their perspectives – we only get to hear Tessa’s side of the story. While I understand that created an element of suspense (what is Maddox really thinking?), it made the story a little one-sided – we don’t get to feel what Maddox is feeling, and he doesn’t reveal a ton about his own life. Other than that, there is plenty to enjoy about the book. It’s a great, fast-paced and fun read.

This is Tessa and Maddox’s story and as a huge fan of a good fake relationship romance this was just perfect for me, I just loved these two they are smoking hot together and are god likable characters I cannot wait to read more from this author
The chemistry between Tessa and Maddox is off the charts. The story is amazing, heartfelt, funny, and sizzling. Karice definitely knows how to write in-depth stories and characters that pull at the heartstrings. I’m already itching for the next in the series, but I don’t know how Maddox can be beat.
It all quiet sweet, event if tessa is a bit too much on the blind side of thing and Maddox is kind of too perfect.
