My boyfriend is getting married.Okay, technically he’s my ex-boyfriend. Two months ago he decided he wanted a break. I still thought he was my happily ever after. On any other day, knowing he was gone for good would be the worst thing that could possibly happen. But not today. Because not only is my boyfriend getting married—his bride is my best friend. And they’ve sent me an invitation. There’s no … me an invitation.
There’s no way I’m going to attend. I don’t care if it’s in beautiful Scotland. Nothing and no one could convince me.
Not even when a deliciously handsome stranger tells me he needs to go as my plus one.
Not even when he shoots me a wickedly, sexy smile.
But then he offers me the opportunity of a lifetime—a dream come true. How can I say no? I have one condition. He has to be my new boyfriend. I mean, my pretend new boyfriend.

What I love about Bay’s writing is the ability to drawn you into the story and being fully immersed with what is going on and Mr Mayfair certainly does that.
Stella has just found out that her ex is now marrying her friend, after only being broken up for two months and is hurt and angry knowing that they most likely were cheating on her.
Beck, he needs a meeting with someone at the upcoming wedding and sets his sights on Stella, who he has to convince to go in the first place and then offer her something she needs.
Although Stella agrees after some negotiations she is still nervous, rightfully so, but with Beck by her side she can hold her head high.
I loved the easy, funny relationship that they had. They were both so free and relaxed with each other, which made the step to lovers easy and I think that’s what makes this story.
Stella isn’t someone Beck has ever come across, she keeps him in his place and can be honest with him but what I loved most was their need and comfort in each other.
I love the giddyness that Bay creates when her characters come together. It’s playful, sexy and had me smiling on the outside so ready for their moment.
The sexual tension between them was wound so tight in their interactions, I wanted to rip their clothes of for them?
This book packs it all in, the storyline never dulling, always something new happening. The book will make you swoon real bad. Beck is a dream man I would give my left arm for, he’s sexy, hot between the sheets and confidently carries himself. While reading you will get a serious case of the feels and fall in love with them with all their little moments. A must read!

Fake boyfriend romance story at it best. I love Louise Bay books, but this one is definitely on her top best ones to read. Stella was betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend, when she gets invitation to the wedding she doesn’t know what to do, but then comes Beck and he makes her an offer she can’t refuse. They both never see love coming their way. You will find yourself reading it until the end, the emotions you will go through will see that you won’t stop reading it. The chemistry is there, the steamy scenes, but more than that the story behind both characters is the one that I loved the most and found myself loving them more for it. The circumstances of what they brought them together at the end will always be one you will totally approve for. A must read definitely.
When I started Mr. Mayfair I was worried I would have been easily bored because the plot was going to be stereotypical but after a few pages I understood I couldn’t be more wrong because this book kept me entertained the whole way from start to end.
Stella and Beck have so much more to say than the usual “single hires a fake boyfriend”.They couldn’t be more different, she came from old money and she has a heart of gold while he made his money from scratch becoming a workhaolic, but they share a lot of chemistry and they understand each other since their first encounter.
I won’t tell you more about this story but I can absolutely guarantee you it is worth your time.
Enjoy it.
To say that Stella London is shocked at the wedding invitation she received would be an understatement. After all, not only is the invitation to her ex boyfriends wedding, it’s also to her best friend’s wedding. That’s right, Stella’s ex-boyfriend and the woman she thought was her best friend are getting married, just a few short months after Stella and her ex broke up. There is no way she’s going, why would she? There is no reason in the world that could get her to go to this wedding, or at least that’s what she thought.
Enter Beck Wilde. A handsome businessman, Beck needs to go to this wedding, after much thought, Stella decides she’ll go and Beck can be her plus one. Both have something the other needs, and both agree this is just pretend, but a week spent in Scotland, will it only be pretend when they come home?
I adore Louise Bay’s books, they make me long to travel to London and see everything! She writes so descriptively, and I truly feel like I’m as much a part of the book as the characters. This book was absolutely wonderful, and I loved watching Beck coax Stella out of her shell, and I loved watching Stella help Beck realize there is more to life than business. They are one of my favorite Louise Bay couples! I’m honestly just crossing my fingers that we get to revisit some of the secondary characters, and that hopefully they will get their own stories! I’m just saying I think Dexter needs some love!
Louise Bay is bringing us yet again a swoon-worthy hero you will not forget! Highly recommended!
I absolutely loved this book! It was a fabulous read that I could not get enough of. I highly recommend that you read it!
Not only is her boyfriend getting married—his bride is her best friend…
Oh how I wish I could be in one of Ms. Bay’s books!
She writes about England and Scotland so beautifully, and with the knowledge that Americans are reading it too. There is English slang, but it’s easy to pick up on. I even felt a right bit smarter after reading it!
So this is the lovely story of Beck and Stella. Two folks that need the other in a bit of an unorthodox way. They are both getting what they want out of the deal they struck and then they get so much more.
I was heartbroken for Stella at first, then when she found her inner fire and her strength, I was cheering her on hard! She was no fragile English rose, she had thorns too! I could empathize with her vulnerabilities and her issues of trust. I mean who wouldn’t have their foundation rocked if the same thing had happened to them.
Beck, oh you dodgy fellow! Beck thought he was living the charmed life. He was determined to do what he had to to get what he wanted, no matter what the cost. But was the price too high?
You get beautiful descriptions of locations throughout Scotland in this story, you get the charm and cosmopolitan feeling of London too. Ms. Bay has a magic to her words, she fully immerses her readers into her stories and that’s a true testament to talented writing.
This book was delightful and will give you all the feels! Get your hands on it!
„The things for which you have to work hardest taste the sweetest.”
Bravo, Louise Bay! Mr. Mayfair was simply fabulous! Beck and Stella’s rollercoaster of relationship gave me all the feels. Their story is swoon-worthy, heartwarming and beyond amazing. I’m a big fan of fake relationship trope and I can honestly say that Louise aced this one. What started as kind of business deal resulted in scorching hot chemistry and incredible pull. Both characters are charismatic and their development throughout the story is noticeable. And Bay’s description of surroundings left me in awe. I’ve never wanted to visit Scotland so much, like after this read!
The author captured my full attention from the very beginning, because she chose very unconventional way to start the story. I could feel the hurt and betrayal Stella experienced. But as every cloud has a silver lining, Beck appeared out of nowhere with a solution that could be profitable to both of them. The hack? Stella has to attend the wedding of her ex with her best friend and take Beck as her plus-one. The situation is certainly not comfortable, but Beck promised to give her what she wants in exchange for a chance to get close to a man who has something Beck desperately wants. Is Stella strong enough to put the past where it belongs and focus strictly on her future? And what about the sizzling chemistry between her and Beck? Could she trust another guy after she was deceived by the man who was supposed to be her one and only?
I can’t tell you how invested I was in this story! I started this book with thoughts of castrating the jerk of Stella’s ex, then I was ecstatic about handsome Beck, and as the story evolved I was alternately swooning, blushing and giggling like a schoolgirl. I loved seeing that Stella finally grew a backbone and stopped being people’s pleaser. Beck totally disarmed me with his British charm and dominant streak. These two could put the world on fire with their chemistry and I was waiting with bated breath how the story would unfold. Louise Bay threw some curveballs along the way, but everything was deliberate and meaningful.
This book proves that Louise Bay is a true romantic. Mr. Mayfair is a captivating slow burn that will warm your heart. I loved every second of this story!
This was one of my top favorite fake relationship books ever! I LOVED Stella and Beck! I loved their interactions, how they grew individually and as a “couple”, loved their friends…I just LOVED everything about this book!! Top read of 2019!! I can’t wait for Dexter’s book!!
I’m wild about Beck and Stella!
“For her, I wasn’t sure if there was anything I wouldn’t do.”
Beck Wilde needs to clinch one last deal in order to demolish his demons and put his past behind him. Stella London is his golden ticket, however, he has his job cut out trying to convince her. He just needs to make her an offer she can’t refuse.
“Before I could finish my sentence, his lips were on mine, and sparks of energy raced from his lips across my skin.”
Stella really doesn’t want to go to the most painful wedding of the year, but when Beck agrees to her terms, she sees it as an opportunity for closure and to start afresh. However, what starts out as fake slowly revolves into something real. Unfortunately, with her track record, can she put trust in her feelings or Beck?
I ADORED this story! Beck and Stella were everything! In spite of being super rich and super gorgeous, Beck is pretty down to earth and I loved his little chinks of vulnerability. Stella herself is pretty sassy and capable, in spite of her doormat tendencies. I loved how she kept him on his feet and how much trust they built between them. They were so natural and so right together, with plenty of attraction and enough sexual energy between them to power a city!
Fantastic story and great dialogue – definitely one of my favourites from this author!
Wow what an incredibly beautiful and entertaining love story from Louise Bay! I loved every minute of it! It was sexy and passionate . It was witty and smart. It was intense and breathtaking. Louise Bay’s brilliant writing has won my heart once again!
Beck Wilde needs the old building in Mayfair which is standing in his way of fulfilling his lifelong dream that more of a challenge and burning need. All he needs is a meeting with the old billionaire who owns it. Stella London has the way to make it happen. As she is invited to marriage of the old Billionaire’s niece who is also her best friend and who is also marrying her seven year long boyfriend, now ex. What starts as a fake relationship as they both need each other for their career, soon becomes something more. An undeniably deep connection. But between Beck’s commitment phobia rooting from his early life and Stella’s insecurity, can they find a HEA?
Beck is just perfect. He is charming, drop dead gorgeous, sexy and bossy. He will make your panties melt and set the kindle on fire. He is determined and go after everything he wants with hundred percent dedication. His confidence which hides the old pain of rejection is a huge turn on. I melted each time he acted all protective and caring for Stella and came to her rescue whenever her evil friend and ex tried to take her down. I feel Stella a lot and I connected with ber instantly. She is always putting others before her needs and that takes a big heart. She came out of her shell and became a stronger and more assertive person with Beck’s support. I am so proud of her and cheered her every time she took control of her messed up life. The chemistry was electrifying. It was a combination of swoony, sweet, heart rending and sexy. And it was so amazing. The slow burn and the heartbreaking hurdles added to the deliciousness.
Louise Bay made me laugh, sigh and cry with intoxicating emotions in Mr. Mayfair. I loved the characters. I loved the brilliant execution of all the complex feelings. A great contemporary romance I will recommend to everyone!

Fake relationships are some of my favorite troupes so when I picked up Mr. Mayfair by Louise Bay I was very excited and it did not disappoint! Believing her boyfriend just needed some space, Stella thought all was well and then she received a wedding invitation from the man she thought was her forever. The kicker? He is marrying her best friend. There was no way she would attend. Enter Beck.
Beck needs to attend the wedding and Stella is his way in. But if she was going to help him, there was no way she was going without a sexy man on her arm. So their journey begins. Neither saw the other one coming. Beck was charming and sexy and Stella was sweet and likable. I could not imagine being in her shoes, but she held her head high.
I loved seeing Beck and Stella together. Even if they were pretending, they shared a strong and undeniable chemistry. Mr. Mayfair was a fun read with great characters and a captivating journey.

Happy reading!
Beck has to be my favorite male lead by Louise Bay. Handsome, charming and charismatic he had it all. I really liked this book. The relationship between Beck and Stella was witty, sexy and very entertaining to read along the pages. What started off as a mutual agreement turned into these two finding their person. Loved it. One of Louise’s best books.
Fun and flirty and maybe just a little bit dirty….that’s Mr Mayfair. Beck Wilde and Stella London are perfect together. She’s pretty adorable and he’s pretty delicious. After finding out her ex-boyfriend of only a few months is marrying one of her best friends Stella finds herself making plans with Beck to attend their wedding. He has an agenda and if Stella is the way to get what he wants then so be it. Faking their relationship for a week shouldn’t be that hard but as time go on they find their fake attraction and emotions towards each other aren’t so fake. Could they be falling in love or is it really just an end to a means for Becks. Well if you read Louise Bay you know she never disappoints and always leaves you with a big smile on your face and sighing contently which is how Becks left Stella on more than one occasion. It really was a joy to read.
I always love this authors writing style and plots, she has such incredible talent. This book was a hit for many but truly was not my favorite of Louise’s. I got lost in the beginning and couldn’t seem to connect with the characters. About midway through I started to be in a good place but my connection again wasn’t where I usually like it. I did enjoy this book and I look forward to reading more from this author. The amazing thing about reading a book is everyone will have their own opinions both good and bad. Sometimes you don’t please everyone and that is completely ok.
When I saw the cover for Mr. Mayfair a few weeks ago, I just knew I was going to love it. It just screams LONDON to me. Always a fan of Louise Bay and this one is no exception. Louise spoils her readers with another yummy Brit and feisty young woman that capture you from the just reading the blurb. Stella finds out her very newly ex boyfriend is getting married to one of her childhood best friends. Still reeling, she meets Beck, a man on a mission that’s needing Stella to make a very important introduction. Beck pretty much tells Stella she can write her own ticket and to make this introduction happen by taking him as her plus one to this wedding. What starts as just two strangers trying to get what they want leads to the always important happily ever after. New characters are introduced and I can’t wait for the next book.
I could not put Mr. Mayfair down! This fake relationship romance had EVERYTHING I love in a great book! Sexy, funny, flirty and a natural chemistry between the two main characters that pulled me in immediately! Stella and Beck were such an amazing couple to read about, I am over the moon about them! These two broken people are perfect for each other and made me fall in love with love! A truly enjoyable read that I highly recommend!
This was honestly my favourite of Louise Bay’s books so far. She captivated me from beginning to end with Beck and Stella’s story. She weaved a brilliant tale filled with humour and emotion.
My heart broke with Stella, no-one wants to find out they have been betrayed by their boyfriend and best friend. She shows such strength and dignity throughout when tbh I would have slapped the pair of them. Stella is so sweet and deserved so much more then being take advantage of! I loved her friend Florence.
Beck, oh be still my swooning heart. I loved this charmer. He knew what he wanted and he would go for it. He lifted Stella up and gave her strength and confidence when she needed it.
I loved these two together. The chemistry between them was off the chart hot even though they stuck to their fake relationship status. Once they gave into their chemistry all bets were off they just had to get over their fears.
I loved Beck’s friends and their banter and connections so I can’t wait to read their books and Dexter is next.
Mr Mayfair is Louise Bay at her absolute best!
I’m a huge fan of Louise’s and am always excited as we eagerly await her new releases. After all the teasers and of course the gorgeous invites we received through the post, I couldn’t wait to dive in, the anticipation was killing me!
As usual, Louise didn’t disappoint! Stella and Beck’s story completely swept me off my feet and took me on a whirlwind ride as we follow them both on their journeys in the hope of finding closure, allowing them both to move on with the next chapter in their lives.
Stella London finds out she’s not only been ditched, but also traded in for her supposed best friend via an email invitation to their upcoming wedding! Totally heartbroken, Stella is at a complete loss as to how she can possibly move forward after the betrayal of two very important people in her life.
Enter Beck Wilde. Smooth, suave, sophisticated and drop dead gorgeous, Beck approaches Stella with a business proposal: take him as her plus one to the upcoming nuptials of her ex boyfriend and ex best friend and he’ll give her whatever she wants.
But Stella wouldn’t possibly want to attend their wedding…would she?
What follows is a gorgeous story of two strangers with an end goal to focus on, who’s ‘fake’ relationship begins to build into something more real. But with both of them carrying the betrayal of their pasts, can they see past the resentment to realise what’s right there in front of them?
This book is hands down one of my top favourite reads of the year, and has quickly become my new favourite Louise Bay book (sorry Luke!). It’s sweet, romantic and funny, but also emotional and completely relatable. Stella and Beck are both strong, independent characters, but Louise shows a vulnerability in them both that we can all relate to. The supporting characters were also brilliantly written and I can’t wait to see more of them!
5 fantastic stars from my favourite author!!!
