My boyfriend is getting married.Okay, technically he’s my ex-boyfriend. Two months ago he decided he wanted a break. I still thought he was my happily ever after. On any other day, knowing he was gone for good would be the worst thing that could possibly happen. But not today. Because not only is my boyfriend getting married—his bride is my best friend. And they’ve sent me an invitation. There’s no … me an invitation.
There’s no way I’m going to attend. I don’t care if it’s in beautiful Scotland. Nothing and no one could convince me.
Not even when a deliciously handsome stranger tells me he needs to go as my plus one.
Not even when he shoots me a wickedly, sexy smile.
But then he offers me the opportunity of a lifetime—a dream come true. How can I say no? I have one condition. He has to be my new boyfriend. I mean, my pretend new boyfriend.

It’s no secret I’m a fan of Louise Bay’s books, and this one’s got it all: a fake relationship, hot British hero, wit and more—all set in London and Scotland. Mr. Mayfair is a standalone available now on your favorite platform.
“Not only is her boyfriend getting married—his bride is her best friend.”
Gah. This book hit the spot perfectly. Great job Louise!
LOVE Louise’s books and this one is amazing! Not only is her boyfriend getting married—his bride is her best friend!
Another winner for Louise Bay! Loved this book. We all need a Beck in our lives.
Humorous, Sexy, Emotional…this book is ALL the good things I love to read! With Mr. Mayfair, Louise Bay continues to delight her readers with an engaging and well written story, and truly likeable characters.
There is nothing about this book that I didn’t enjoy That’s a big statement, but this book earned it! A reread is already planned, and if you love audiobooks, don’t miss this one….Soooo good!
Sign me up! I love fake date books and this one did not dissapoint!
Alpha hero? Check. Hot as sin? Double-check. I LOVE Louise Bay’s books <3
Louise has done it again, written a book that was absolutely UNPUTDOWNABLE!! I LOVE fake relationship tropes and this one had me hanging on every word of this sexy, sassy, swoon-worthy read. Beck and Stella were fun, witty, loveable……I didn’t want their story to end but I’m so excited that there will be more to come from the rest of Beck’s crazy friends!!!
Couple pretend to be in love at wedding week of guy who jilted her with her friend.
Their pretend romance became real. She helps him acquire a building he wanted .too much explicite sex.
6 stars out of 5!
Stella gets an invite to her ex’s wedding… only 2 months after they broke up. An ex who is now marrying her best friend. So she can’t go alone, really.
Beck is willing to do anything to go to the wedding in order to make a huge business deal.
So she negotiates with him to get her career back on track & he also has to pretend he’s her new boyfriend.
It’ll be fine, right?
She can go to her ex’s wedding – the wedding she dreamed of – & pretend everything’s okay.
Even though there are a lot of events surrounding it.
Even though it’s a week long affair in Scotland.
Even though she knows nothing about Beck.
So… what’s the plan? They need to know as much as possible about each other, in order to avoid any problems when they’re at the wedding.
That’s feasible, right?
-“I really should see you naked if we’re doing research properly.”
-“Stella, listen to me. I don’t kiss women because I have to. I kissed you because I wanted to. I want to.”
That first kiss from him… Wow!
The confrontation with Karen… Nice!
<3 Henry, while Matt is just terrible (he & Karen are worse than I had originally thought).
After a few days together, it’s clear that Beck is a better boyfriend - oops, I meant fake boyfriend - than her ex ever was. He sees her for who she is, helps her stand up for herself, & gives her great kisses.
-“... how does he make you feel?”
-“Like I have more room to breathe.”
These kisses, these feelings, they’re all fake, though, right?
But... what if they’re not?
What Stella didn’t know was that she needed Beck... just as much as he needed her.
I received this book for free from an email promotion.
For me, it was ok. Not my thing.
So good! I read the series. Thanks!!
This was a fun and interesting book.
10/07/2021 “Mr. Mayfair” (nook) kept my attention throughout. Beck and Stella, the main characters, are wonderfully portrayed. They bring out the best in each other, unlike her ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend. An emotional route to a HEA.
I couldn’t put it down!
At first I didn’t think I would like this book, but I am glad that I was wrong. I loved it.
I really enjoyed this book and these characters. A lovely story of discovery!!!
I really like the writing style of this author. It was refreshingly funny in places, without trying too hard and I couldn’t wait to settle down at night for a quiet moment to get engrossed in the story. I wish it didn’t end so quickly (or maybe I devoured it too fast), but I’ll definitely be reading this one again and looking for other titles from this writer.
A cute story even with an oft repeated story theme.
Love it. I was not able to put this book down. Very entertaining, funny and romantic. Love it !!!!!
