A good start to the series.
When your husband goes to jail because he was caught with stolen goods, your whole world crumbles literally.
As soon as he’s out you serve him divorce paper which of course he stubbornly won’t sign. He wants one week to woo her and she makes a Deal with the devil.
I like Dylan and Drew and hoped they find their way back to each other.
The circumstances separating them were bad timing and maybe not so clear-cut.
I have to admit it took me a while to get into this book. I had a hard time connecting with Dylan until more towards the end of the book and I was able to understand her a little better. But I did love Andy right off the bat. It was good story and I loved how hard he tried to win her back. So sweet.
This is the first book in the Calendar Boys series that I’ve read but I’ll definitely read more. This is Andy and Dylan’s story. A very enjoyable and read from start to finish. Their story is complete with suspense and secrets, a ton of passion and sexy scenes. Many twists, but in the end, the truth always finds a way to come out. A second chance romance that isn’t necessarily my troupe but I found this one quite compelling- a bit frustrating and at times heartbreaking.

Another awesome read by this author. I read this in one sitting and I loved it.
Their story is full of secrets, guilt, passion and an undeniable love that will be hard for either of them to walk away from. Truths will need to be faced, forgiveness given and acceptance of the past to be able to finally move forward.
Andy had just been released from prison after serving 3 years, and the first thing he wants is his wife. Dylan just wants a divorce, and Andy wants to stay married, so he convinces her to make a deal with him.
I highly recommended this second chance romance.
I love Nicole’s writing and I think that this is going to be a fun series. My only criticism of this book is that it was a bit short and seemed a little rushed I would have liked a bit more depth and angst between the two main characters but otherwise it was a good read.
Andy has been in prison for three years and his wife has given up on him, and has only been in contact to get divorce papers served on him. Andy refuses to sign the papers and wants to get his wife back. Unfortunately, when she shows up at his work soon after his release, she is so angry at him it looks like getting her back might be an impossible task. Despite her anger Andy knows Dylan well enough to know that she wants him, and he hatches a plan to get her back.
His plan is so romantic it made me swoon a little that he would do so much to get Dylan back, he is sneaky, overbearing, funny and incredibly hot and sexy. He uses all these weapons to win her over and he does it so well and Dylan fights him all the way!
If you want a funny and romantic read this is a great one. Looking forward to meeting Mr February.
I loved every moment of this book from start to finish. This is a quick, witty, sweet read! A story about forgiveness and second chances.
I love the way these two found their way back to each other. Dylan and Andy have a spark, a love that is so well written. I could feel their emotions and their love for each other.
Not only are the main characters a joy to read, but the friendships are also well written. The friendship between Dylan and Sarah is real and honest, and so is the friendship between Andy and Seth.
Nicole is a new to me author, and I can’t wait to read more from her.
Surprisingly touching love story; an ex-con, a red head, and a passion that survives separation and tragedy. A second chance romance.
Andy and Dylan are amazing! I love this spin on a second-chance romance! I am brand new to Nicole S. Goodin, and I am already in love! Her characters are perfection! Dylan’s spitfire attitude is amazing – I knew I was going to love her before I even knew her name! Andy is the swooniest of the swoon-worthy! This isn’t a super long read, but I still managed to devour it in about half a day! FIVE HUGE STARS!!
Oh my! I absolutely love Dylan and Andy! Their witty banter, the back and forth, the will they/ won’t they… such a great read!
I loved that Dylan and Andy have already had their relationship so we didn’t need that buildup. You could feel right from the first page that they belong together 😀 Will Andy won Dylan back?
You’ll have to find out
Such a fun read and I can’t wait for the other Calendar Boys!!
Wow, wow, wow! I took a chance on Mr. January because the heroine was a redhead, and I’m so glad I did! It was such a great read, and I devoured it in one sitting!
Talk about the immovable object meeting the irresistible force! Dylan is a fiery redhead. She is stubborn, independent, and doesn’t back down. Andy is cocky, stubborn, and persistent. He has tattoos and a motorcycle. (Be still my beating heart!) The heat between them is sizzling!
The plot was unique; I haven’t read anything like it. I’m a sucker for second chances, and this one didn’t disappoint. A lot of it was intense, but I did laugh aloud several times. The paper eating had me laughing hours later. What a hoot!
This was my first book by Nicole S. Goodin, and it’s the first book in the Calendar Boys series. I’m anxiously looking forward to the next book, Mr. February. I’m kind of hoping Mr. February is Andy’s friend Jeff.
Andy just got of being in prison for 3 years when Dylan demands for a divorce. Laying eyes on her for the first time since he’s been out, there’s no way he’s giving her what she wants. Dylan wants to move on with her life & leave her baggage behind. There’s a lot of give & take, push & pull with each having one goal in mind – for Dylan, a divorce & for Andy, a reconciliation.
I love second chance romances, where one person is wooing the other to get back in their good graces. Andy did whatever he had to do to remind Dylan of their love, despite both of them living with guilt & consequences from the decisions they made. This was a good read & I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
Mr January – Nicole S Goodin
Nicole Goodin’s new standalone was definitely a wonderful story.
Mr January introduces us to Andrew and Dylan and their less than perfect married life. Two very headstrong personalities but both, characters who endear themselves to you.
Andrew must prove his innocence to his estranged wife of a felony he’s already done time for but Dylan must overcome her mistrust and finally see to the core of the man she truely loves.
A great story setup and wonderful characters make this a totally enjoyable and steamy story.
Wow what a way to start a series!
This was a page turner that had me hooked.
I especially loved feeling right at home with the kiwi slang, can’t wait to read more of The Calendar Boys.
He is a bad boy and ended up in jail. Now he is out hoping to win his ex wife back but she wants nothing to do with him. Or does she? Can he won her over? See if he can

Mr. January was my first read of 2019, my first book by Nicole S. Goodin and I adored it!!! I read this is one sitting as I honestly could not put my kindle down.
Andy and Dylan were perfect together – even though the main issue of where things went wrong for them in their relationship (asides from him going to jail) was one of my biggest bug bears…. lack of communication…. I was desperately willing this pair to work things out.
Andy was dogged in his quest to win back his wife while Dylan was trying to deny her feelings and love for the guy who left her for 3 years – especially to herself!
His (ex)wife’s insistence that they were done didn’t deter Andrew for one minute and I loved watching him remind her of their connection and the all of the reasons they were together in the first place.
The initial book in the Calendar Boys series, I’m really looking forward to the following months and hope they are just as engaging.
A definite 5* read for me.
First time reader of Nicole S. Goodin and I really enjoyed Dylan and Drew’s story.
The sass, the drama, the slow burn and the heartache was… magnificent.
It was a quick, easy read that had me giggling, holding my breath, and sighing with happiness (Drew says the sweetest things).
A definite must read!
Watching the evolution of the relationship between these two was a treat. This steamy romance is a roller coaster ride that will make you laugh, make you hot, and even make you shed a few tears. This is a book about true love, making mistakes and fighting for what you want.

I absolutely loved every second of this book. It really captured my attention/interest right away. It was such a great book that I highly recommend that you read and check it out for yourself.
Confusing romance. Still married? Yup, still in love? Double yup. Gonna make it work? You’re going to have to read the book it’s worth it.

Andy and Dylan love each other, but seeing him in the back of a police car, than sentenced to three years in prison, was a lot, too much in fact, for her to take. She wants a divorce, but Andy, not a free man once again, insists he’s innocent. Not only that, but he’s determined to win her back. He never stopped loving her. despite the fact she kept sending him divorce papers while he was gone.
Dylan agrees to give him a second chance, her heart yearning for him even if her mind is saying to keep her distance. Andy asked for and receive seven days to prove to her that they belong together and always have. He intends to go all out to win her back. Nothing will stop him from gaining her heart…the thing is, he never lost it.
Can Andy convince Dylan of his innocence? Or will she continually punish him for his supposed mistake? Will they get the HEA they’ve always wanted?
One-click now and follow along as a couple must overcome the obstacles between them. I love the premise, but have to admit I’m disappointed in Dylan’s seemingly lack of trust in her husband. Yes, I understand that things looked back, and he was convicted, but she should’ve trusted him despite that. I know guilty people claim innocence all the time, but it felt almost as if she didn’t WANT to believe him, and maybe that stems from an insecurity of hers. I do like that Andy didn’t give up on her, he fought for her, for their love, and that, to me, made the book worth it. – By Elizabeth
