A condemned apartment building means I’m stuck sleeping in my car. My carefully planned future—gone. It’s just bad business to admit to being homeless when you’re the top selling real estate agent in the county. So when a fellow evictee, Nola, comes up with a solution to my homeless situation, I take her up on her offer. An empty house with a gorgeous roommate? Sign me up. I didn’t know that … up.
I didn’t know that staying at her friend’s house would lead to us pretending to be married. I didn’t know I would get elected to be president of an HOA I have no business being a part of.
And I’m beginning to suspect my beautiful, devious, fake wife isn’t telling me everything.
What happens when we get another roommate, and our deception moves to the next level?
Nola is the whirlwind I didn’t want in my life—but she just might be exactly what I need.

This is a very fun story. He is a hot shot realtor in a town with skyrocketing costs of homes. She is secretly the daughter of a very wealthy person buying up lots of land and building ???. Both live in a rat-trap apartment building from which they are being evicted by the rep. of the wealthy guy. She stays ignoring the eviction but tells him of a house she knows the owner of that he can ‘use’ …. And it all spirals into hilarity and love from there. Relatively but not completely clean. Worth it for the laughter.
Well written with laugh out loud moments.
A fun read! Wish there was more about reunion with best friend rather than “get the next book to find out!! I like all loose ends tied up instead of left hanging.
Loved this book….purchased the second one…
Enjoyed.
I ended up reading this in one sitting. It was hilarious and kept me engaged.
Humorous, light reading, thank you!
A fun light entertaining read.
It was funny and easy to read!
Loved the story, funny and happily ever after.
Entertaining, funny and perfect for some pick-me-up
The interaction between main characters is filled with great chemistry. Slowly their relationship transforms into the friendship and attraction between them starts to brew. Bane and Nola are great characters and I love both of them. Interactions are fun and endearing. I liked that there is not much of an angst. Book is based on a great plot and the writing is light and allows to enjoy the story fully.
Funny, entertaining and perfect for some pick-me-up. I really enjoyed how it all played out.
Easily read this in 2 days! Mr. HOA is a cute fake marriage romance with a small touch of mystery and deception.
Nola and Bane get an eviction notice from their apartment building manager saying they need to leave the premises within 24 hours. Of course they have no where else to go and don’t have a lot of time to find a place. Bane sleeps at the office or in his car for a couple days. Nola decides that she is going to stay until the crews show up to actually demolish the building.
Somewhere along the way she sees Bane again and he still hasn’t found a proper place to stay so Nola mentions a house that is sitting empty since the owners are out of town. It’s in a nice neighborhood though and Carol sees Bane in the backyard and invites him to the HOA meeting. I thought Carol was annoying and didn’t know how to take a hint but Bane just takes it in stride. Which results in him being in a fake marriage with Nola; super super slow burn romance.
Definitely no sex in this story but they do have a few kisses. I would consider this a clean romance even though they do talk about kissing and touching each other.
The way this story is written; you learn things as you go and find out important things about the characters as the story goes on. Nola is actually the daughter of a certain person that they think is responsible for demolishing the building and keeping the deposits. Come to find out that people are not always how you remember them as or may not be as bad as you think they are.
Good cute ending with a peek into another story about Riley. The author did a good job at the end of intriguing you and making you want to pick up another one of her books to see what happened with Riley and her situation.
I really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect amount of snark and fun. I loved the funny scenes and the slow burn romance. I highly recommend this book for lovers of a fake relationship romance.

Oh, this was pretty funny! Carina Taylor totally made it work how one could be thrown into a fake marriage sound plausible. I loved both the h & H. I enjoyed their interactions. There were plenty of Lol and aww moments with the pair. The humor was great for a rom com. Good dialogue, flow of the story, and how the romance grew. I’m on to the next in the series!
L Want a fun read pick this one up it will not disappoint. These were amazing characters that are well developed and engaging with chemistry throughout the pages. The storyline was fun from the start that I did not want it to stop.

This is a nice feel good read with a down to earth H who wanted to escape his parents money mistakes & make his own way in the world.
Nola our h, was escaping money for a different reason, perhaps the opposite to that of Bane’s family. Eventually you will work out who her dad is & how he unknowingly bought these two together. I did think their meeting was a bit OTT though.
Well how Bane became involved in the HOA was a classic as well as the odd collection of homeowners who lived there.
This was an enjoyable tale of opposites attracting.

You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but this has such an adorable one, I couldn’t resist! Ms. Taylor is a new-to-me author, so I didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised, as this was such a fun romantic comedy. I’ve read a lot of different books with a fake marriage trope, and I have to say this was certainly an original. Nola and Bane are pretending to be a married couple. They were both evicted from their apartments and through the course of certain events, were led to live together in an empty house. These characters were so charming and endearing, you can’t help but fall in love with them. They were such a cute couple! The banter between them was entertaining and hilarious. The storyline was fun and lighthearted and I found myself hooked till the end. I think I have found a new author to follow and I would definitely recommend this book. Looking forward to Ms. Taylor’s next book!

Mr. HOA is just the read I needed to help my current stress level. It is laugh out loud funny. Mr. HOA is a fake marriage rom com centered around Bane and Nola. There were such unique circumstances leading to their fake marriage that you will have to read to get all the details because I don’t want to give anything away. This book is full of hilarious banter, great chemistry, family drama, quirky neighbors, and a bit of mystery. Oh and I can’t forget to mention that it is completely clean! I must also add that I appreciated updates on Tori and Ian from Love on Willow Loop and I found it adorable when the book club was reading a Sarah Adams book because I know the authors are friends in real life.
I am looking forward to the next one in the series, Miss Trailerhood which releases in September.
