Was okay. These are easy reads. You know all the characters no surprises.
If you can’t get enough of Pride &Prejudice then this a fun twist
I enjoyed another version of one of my favorite books: Pride & Prejudice
This book is so true!!! I sent a copy to my daughter. I laughed and realized the title said it all, plus how often it reflected our own lives in one way or another.
It went on and on and on…not a challenge to read, boring. The author is trying to be creative, but a detour from the original Jane Austen, and not that much different from the original.
It wasn’t of the same caliber as Jane Austin.
I was not impressed with the author’s writing, and felt that her attempt to get on the Jane Austen “bandwagon” was unconvincing.
Although the book contained many editing errors, I enjoy any take-off from Jane Austin. The characters were true to Austin’s original, and seemed to have more emotional depth.
It was not badly written, craftwise. But the whole premise seemed a little silly to me. Sorry. If one is going to change the original version, it should at least be an improvement or something unique.
I love these variations on Pride and Prejudice. Very easy to read and just as romantic.
I love Pride and Prejudice and have read many variations. I just can’t get enough of Elizavery and Darcy. This one was quite enjoyable with Mr. Darcy saving her from marrying the horrid Mr. Collins
I thought the story took too long to unfold. The characters seemed to be sort of weak. I wanted to like the story, but it just didn’t catch my attention.
Different.
Very well written for that era
I found it rather tedious and boring.
It was entertaining to read how a different choice could take these characters down a different path.
Jane Austen is my favorite author. This follow-on to Pride and Prejudice was more consistent than many others I have read.
Another good book. Had to read it quickly.
A nice twist on the original, while keeping the spirit of the characters and their world intact.
This book did not make transition as well from the original to the new ending. Mr. DArcy was too at odds with himself to make fast and realistic decisions.
