3. Book 3: Moving to Forever: Rolling Thunder Series: Danny and Tammy :4 stars
I purchased Moving to Forever: Rolling Thunder Series, Book 3 by PJ Fiala and this review was given freely.
Wounded war veteran and new amputee Danny returns from Afghanistan only to lose his fiancé. Tammy, artist and administrative assistant for the Stateside Veterans home, is wary of men after the posting of a devastating video. Written in the same timeline as Moving to Hope, which features Tammy’s friend Molly, this is a story of redemption, acceptance, overcoming mental anguish, learning to live with physical disabilities, the dilemma of running a profitable business vs providing safe and affordable veteran’s care, and both Danny and Tammy healing through the love of both family and new romance. This well balanced erotic romance contains mention of three types of sexual predators, episodes of PTSD flashbacks but ends happily.
4. Book 4: Moving to Desire: Rolling Thunder Series: Gunnar and Emma.: 4 stars
I purchased a copy of Moving to Desire: Rolling Thunder Series, Book 4 by PJ Fiala and this review was given freely.
The beginning is action packed and complex opening with Gunnar having an erotic but unsatisfactory birthday experience which later comes back to haunt him, paralegal Emma has an embarrassing but brief encounter with Gunnar as she prepares for her new nephew, an old accident comes back to haunt Emma, and Joci has a daughter. Irony, raw language, stalkers, jealousy in the form of ex-lovers, arson, murder, the mafia, and multiple erotic scenes are interwoven in this complicated and at times suspenseful novel. Recommend 18+
5. Book 5: Moving to You: Rolling Thunder Series: JT and Kayden: 4 stars
I purchased Moving to You: Rolling Thunder Series, Book 5 by PJ Fiala and this review was given freely.
JT has aspirations of becoming a motorcycle designer full time and while staying with his mentor, Jeremiah’s army buddy Oakes, JT falls in love with Oakes’ daughter the single mom and clothing designer Kayden. This a well balance and action packed full length novel which evokes a roller coaster of emotions resulting from violence in the form of the local Devils MC Club antics, disappointment in the form of a veteran and best friend being a secretive drug dealer, the heart meltingly sweet little girl Dakota, the caring and sometimes steamy scenes between JT and Kayden, and of course the support and love of the Sheppard family.
6. Book 6: Moving Home: JT and Kaden 5 stars
I received a free copy of Moving Home {Rolling Thunder Series} book 6 by PJ Fiala and this review was given freely.
Shorter than prior books in the series, the continued story of JT and Kayden is suspenseful, fast paced and full of drama. It opens with the continued violence and sinister intent of the Dakota Devils MC. Sweet family scenes and the steamy moments between JT and Kayden balance out the evil in this easy flowing event filled novel.
Tammy & Danny’s story sort of overlaps with Ryder and Molly’s, but it is it’s own and is good stand alone in the series. I loved the setting of the veteran’s home and the men and women that it helps – both those who reside there and those who do not. The brotherhood between Danny and his former unit members well done but not preachy. This is NOT a book about PTSD but PTSD is an issue that is touched upon in that the author uses it and the veteran’s home setting as a means for her characters to come to terms with their lives outside of their service. Very enjoyable book. I’d like to see if Lex and Coop have their own stories coming.
Moving To Forever by P.J. Fiala is a wonderful contemporary romance. Ms. Fiala has produced a book that is well-written and her cast of characters is phenomenal. Danny is healing after returning home from war missing part of his leg along with his girlfriend dumping him. Tammy works at a home for retired veterans and paints and is still dealing with the trauma of her ex making a video of them having sex putting it on the internet. Tammy and Danny’s story is loaded with drama, humor and sexy bits. I enjoyed every page of this book and can’t wait for my next read by P.J. Fiala. Moving To Forever is book 3 of the Rolling Thunder Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I read a print copy of this book.
Totally loved this book. Really nice helping our veterans.
Danny was a disabled war vet, he had a lot to cope with. Losing his leg, his sweetheart and hope. Then come Rolling Thunder, who helped build a harley he could ride, a woman who excepts him inspite of his doubts and the club helps renovate his home. An excellent book.
This read was achingly sweet and utterly painful. Danny’s pain was so real. However, the healing of his soul was remarkably beautiful, along with his military brothers. The writing is beautiful, the characters are exquisite and I am so in love with this story.
