This book would appeal to women retirees who are Snowbirds and live in two places. The frugal husband, Jim, is realistic and supportive. Carol Andrews has lots of friend who are willing to help each other when trouble comes. This book is read quickly to see what happens next.
A quick read about retired couple going through challenges of retirement. Entertaining enough but not requiring a lot of concentration.
Enjoyed husband and wife interaction. Believeable and entertaining.
Enjoyed this enough to read the whole series my only problem with the last star is that it’s little apparent Whodunnit. That being said, the characters are quirky enough the situations are realistic enough to keep on reading even after the fact.
This whole series is great. The older couple is pretty believable….the wife coping with her sometimes irritating husband, but a lot of love there.
Fun read for baby boomers
Kept me laughing… Shared several quotes with family and friends.
Very good. Enjoyed it.
Love this writer and her series…appealing for the baby-boomers reaching retirement age.
I was anxious to get back to it each time I put it down, many interesting twists.
It was a good book, okay plot, interesting. I didn’t like the husband being called ‘ my beloved’ all the time, seemed odd.
Carol & jim are an adorable middle aged couple. All the girls add to the fun as mishaps occur.
The characters are so relatable! Hilarious, suspenseful, great reading.
This is a great book for baby boomers. It’s very entertaining and relatable. Especially if you went to a parochial school!
I’m in the process of reading this whole series, and enjoying it A LOT! Interesting characters, believable plot (with a twist or two to keep things interesting) with a touch of wit, especially regarding long-time girlfriends!
Predictable but with humor. Didn’t like that she always called her husband “my beloved”
We are also getting a house ready to sell and appreciated the similarities in all that goes into it. However, I don’t think we will find a dead body in ours. I enjoy the author’s writing and this is her third book I have read.
Was like chatting with a friend. Especially liked the ideas at the end for bunco group snacks.
