In this book we get Jack Wiley’s story and are introduced to Cassie Lorenzo. We met Jack in Taboo Mountain Daddy he is the brother of Madison. Jack went to prison for a murder he didn’t commit. He knows this and knows that Cassie could have cleared him but didn’t want to drag her into the mess that his father left him and his sister. He is determined to protect both women, especially when he learns the last time he saw Cassie he got her pregnant with their child. No matter how much he wants to be there to support her and the baby he knows he has to get rid of the danger before they can ever have a life together. Cassie had no plans on coming back to this small town especially after Jack wouldn’t even talk to her after their time together. Being pregnant though has made it tough to be on her own and she knows there is no way she will be able to finish law school with a baby. Will these two find a way to get to that HEA they both want or will the danger Jack is trying to protect them all from going to take them first?
This is another hit out of the park by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Jack and Cassie are great together. Jack has alot to go through and when he does he gets a family. If you want a happy ever after love story then this is a great book.

This has been by far, the best book I have read from this series, and I absolutely loved all the books in it.
However, this was just so much more, the intrigue and theobinh around of the characters made the story Mich more dinic and entertaining.
As usual the leading couple was of the charts hot and lovable at the same time, and the or overflowing drama was just perfect to make them my favourite couple.
Congratulations to the author on this amazing story.

This is a steamy and emotional love story about two people who come from two different worlds but they are perfect together and bring out the best in each other. The storyline is an emotional one as Cassie and Jack deal with family drama and a special secret delivery. Likable characters and a well written story make this a great addition to the Mountain Men of Liberty series.
This was a roller coaster ride of a story. Cassie’s home because she’s pregnant but refuses to name the father, especially to her parents who hate him. Jack’s home too but he’s secretive, moving in the shadows, deflecting instead of speaking plainly. And while Jack wants nothing more than to claim Cassie and their baby as his, what he’s working towards won’t let him.
There’s too much at stake, too much to lose if he does that.
So he waits and asks Cassie to do the same too, all while promising everything will be all right.
This was more suspenseful than I thought it’d be. It built steadily throughout the story, and the ending didn’t disappoint. There was so much going on, so much to work through, so much to overcome, and one gut-wrenching moment when the entire book world stopped and seemed to scream, “NO!!!”
But everything worked out in the end. Lives were restored. Love grew stronger. Families were brought back together. If you’re in the mood for instalove but need just a little something more, this is the story for you. It’s so well-written with characters you will like/love or are unsure of/hate from the very beginning. Hang in there. The story is worth all the angst.

Small town life has its disadvantages and its advantages as everyone knows everyone and that includes all your business too. Liberty Utah is no different as the eldest son Jack of a criminal people believe what they want to believe no matter the truth is behind it. Cassie is best friends with Madison Jack sister. Cassie went to law school and is helping Jack during this time they hooked up and she got pregnant….Ooops! Secrets, criminals, action packed and so much more. I absolutely loved this story. The storyline was so interesting that it completely captivated me and was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished with the very last word. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing book. Enjoy happy reading

The Price and Risks of Love
Life in a small town has its positives and its negatives. One positive is that everyone knows everyone and everyone’s business. One negative is that everyone knows everyone and everyone’s business. And the small town of Liberty, Utah is no different.
For the Wiley family, life under the microscopic watch of the community was always a challenge. Jack and Madison, children of the notorious Wiley family knew that they were watched more carefully than their peers, not because they were evil or bad, but because of their parents. The reality of most of Jack and Madison’s childhood had required them to deal with the consequences of their parents’ addictions. Jack, the elder of the two children, did whatever was necessary—even stealing—to feed and provide for the needs of his sister when his parents used the family’s meager funds to support their own destructive addictions. Dad’s solution to fund his own habits was to sell drugs to support his own habits. Their mom was not much better as a parent with own her drinking and personal drama. As far as the town of Liberty was concerned, if an object went missing, if vandalism occurred, if anything untoward occurred, a Wiley was probably involved. Rather than offering help and comfort, all Liberty offered the Wiley family was judgement. And, as time passed, following the example of his father, Jack fell in with a bad group of friends. When a liquor store was robbed and the attendant killed, although Jack was not an active participant, his bad judgement led him to be with the wrong person, at the wrong time in the wrong place and jail time was the result for his bad judgement in associates. So, when Madison turned 18, she escaped to LA as soon as she could, where she found a job to support herself, enrolled in college, and lived month to month in rental apartments with strangers. And Jack spent his time in prison for his bad judgement as an adolescent. And,when he was released just as his father’s bad choices, deals and acquaintances resulted in a suicide that looked suspiciously like murder, Jack was arrested as a suspect.
Now, Jack is out, proven irrefutably innocent of his father’s murder/suicide, but the community will not forgive or forget—they are waiting for Jack’s next misdeed. Jack is trying to pick up whatever carpentry jobs he can find, but not many of the fine citizens of Liberty are ready to give him a second chance. Also, Jack is secretly seeking to bring down the drug connected associates whom he believes were responsible for his father’s murder—not his suicide. But, if undercover life is not enough to complicate a complicated life, Jack learns that Cassie Lorenzo, 3rd year law student and his Madison’s best friend who had returned to Liberty at his sister’s request to legally advise Jack, was back and obviously pregnant. It seems that the one-time sexual encounter of Jack and Cassie had consequences!
Cassie Lorenzo’s family was the polar opposite of the family of her best friend Madison and Madison’s older brother, Jack. Cassie’s family had enjoyed the largess that resulted from her father’s successful law practice—vacations and vacation homes, college for Cassie and her sister, and for Cassie, law school. But no family is perfect. While the family had never been without the physical benefits of their family’s success, wealth did not equate to love and affirmation—to emotional support; those qualities were in short supply in the Lorenzo family. And when Cassie’s dad suffers a heart attack and she comes home for the first time in over eight months, her pregnancy cannot be denied or ignored. And, while everyone thinks the father is a guy she met in law school, Cassie shares with her best friend and Jack’s sister, Madison, that she is about to become an aunt! But, will Cassie be able to let Jack know that he is about to become a dad and will he even care?

Welcome back to Liberty where everyone knows your business..or they think they do…and don’t let you forget it. This is Jack’s story and things are not as they seem. Jack is Madison’s older brother, tall, brooding, tattooed and even been to prison. To be fair, he has a heart of gold and is protective of those he loves, to the point of taking punishment for something he didn’t do. While some think he’s a hero for taking down the bad guys he’s still Wiley trash to many others and things are not looking up for him. Cassie is Madison’s best friend that got out of Liberty to study law in Philadelphia and hasn’t been home in a year, except for that little jaunt to help Jack…oh about eight months ago. Jack is working on taking the down the head of the illegal ring that escaped justice so he and his family can finally be free. There’s just one thing he never expected…he’s going to be a dad!!! Hating to deny the baby Cassie is carrying is his is the only way to keep them safe and that even turns to carp when Cassie has the baby early. Double crossing thugs, strangers following him, a new baby and the woman he loves just out of reach…just how much more can Jack take??? Unexpected help arrives in the form of not one, not two but four brothers he knew nothing about. Just how the hell this all works out…You just have to get this MUST READ and join Jack, Cassie and the close knit family and friends on this harrowing journey to freedom and love!!! It was exciting to visit Madison and Teddy to see how they are fairing but now there are four more possible journeys to come in Samuel, Mason, Elijah and Graham!!!! Who will be first??? Woohoo I can’t wait!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book via Booksprout and purchased a copy for my favorites collection.
This is another book for the Mountain Men of Liberty series. This is Jack and Cassie’s story. This story contains all kinds of themes, a bad boy hero, best friend’s brother, secret pregnacy with a potential second chance. A well written story with a few twists to challenge our characters as they work their way to a HEA. Enjoy!

This is Jack and Cassie story. While I do appreciate wanting to trust the person you are with, there was not a lot of trust between these two. Cassie’s dad didn’t help matters either. There is dragging, suspense, romance, and secrets throughout the book. It will keep your interest but there is too much lack of trust issues and communication issues between the characters. The storyline is good.
Jack had always been hated by the town of Liberty because of who his dad was. Cassie was the daughter of the town. Her parents didn’t like Jack. They hooked up one night when Cassie came to town to help Jack with some legal issues. Cassie had always had a crush on Jack but didn’t think he felt the same. She left town after the hooknup and discoverea she was pregnant. She returned to town to discover Jack was into something that was dangerous. When he found out she was pregnant with his son he feared for her life. Will they survive? Will they end up together? And who are the mysterious men who have been asking around town about Jack? Great addition to the mountaIn man series. Not to mention can’t wait for the next books to come out…possibly the mysterious men in town?

Loved this series. Jack has always been the bad boy. Trouble seems to follow him wherever he goes. Trying to clear his name from a murder charge Cassie and Jack found themselves hooking up one night. There is a lot if intrigue and action going on in this story. Have the tissues ready. Loved it.

Very suspenseful book. There is romance with Jack and Cassie. Poor Jack is considered “trailer trash” who will never be good enough for Cassie by her family. Jack and Cassie are really trying to make their relationship work. There is all kinds of stuff going on, crooked politicians, guns, bribery, kidnapping, families on the run. Loved the characters and the storyline was really good. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is not a cute little mountain man story with a hunky older guy, a snowstorm, a flat tire, and a curvy younger woman. Nope. This is a quite suspenseful book. Yes, there’s romance – Jack, the white trash guy who’ll never be good enough for Cassie’s family, and Cassie, the almost-lawyer who just had Jack’s baby, are trying to be a couple. Yes, there’s a new family – apparently someone’s mother got together with someone else’s father, and we have four new brothers. There’s also a very crooked politician, goons with guns, lots of bribery money exchanging hands, a kidnapping, families on the run, and on-the-edge-of-my-seat suspense. This is my first read in this series, and I recently started reading this author’s books. I really enjoyed this book.
