I’ve got a bad rep.Sure, I’ve done time. But all I want is to do some time…under her.Book three of the Mountain Man Collection. No cliffhangers. Very mature themes. And a HEA.

A quick, hot read.
I liked this book but… it was full of holes in the story.
The good part of the book is the attraction between Aubrey and Derek is really well developed. The bad parts? Having a beard doesn’t necessarily make a guy a “mountain man”, I’ll never look at a dentists’ office the same again , and handcuffs shouldn’t magically appear and disappear in a scene.

Sexy savior with a secret…
When Aubrey is attacked a sexy savior comes to her rescue. Then he disappears. Is that the last time she will see him? Nope. The next meeting leads to “sexy times”. Aubrey knows Derek has a secret. When that secret comes out, will Aubrey walk away or stand by her man? If you need a sexy quick read, this one’s for you.

I love Angela Blake stories. They are fun, sexy and sometimes even thought provoking, but this is the second book I have read that was Angela Blake with Chloe Maddox and I can say is NO! First off there is no mountain man in the story. Derek isn’t even described in a fashion that would make you feel like he is a mountain man at any point in the story. He is kind of an outlaw, but that even implies the the police are actively after him and according to his story he got away with his crime and there is no evidence to say he committed it. Aubrey is supposed to be a responsible, careful dentist, yet her actions go against that completely. To top it all off there really is no story at all. We have a little back story on Derek and a little on Aubrey but other than that it is nothing but sex. Even the sex scenes are frustrating because I can’t even picture them in my mind. At one point they are in a car, she is in the drivers seat, somehow he has handcuffed her and is on top of her. All I can say is they must both be very small people for this to be possible. Then after making a big deal out of the handcuffs and how she can’t touch him or even run her fingers through his hair, she is scratching up his back, only to be back in the handcuffs again a couple of paragraphs later. I won’t even get into how they seemed to disappear altogether when the cops showed up. The whole thing was a frustrating read and then it gave the final blow when it abruptly ended. No implication of a relationship. No love is mentioned. No HEA eluded to. Nothing! I am not normally one to write negative reviews but this one is NOT worth your time or money unless you are looking for an unrealistic book of connected sex scenes. Then and only then would it be worth your time.
