On a self-imposed deadline to finish writing his latest thriller, Landon Foster heads to his cabin in Creede, Colorado, hoping the peace and solitude will help him concentrate.
Suffering from a bout of writer’s block, he takes a walk to clear his head, but when snow comes down thick and fast covering the trail back, he soon realizes he’s lost.
Genevieve Brooks is out hiking when the snow … when the snow descends.
A Creede native, Eve has spent her life hiking the mountain trails and knows them like the back of her hand so when she runs into a lost hiker, she quickly leads him to safety.
As they get to know each another, it becomes clear Landon is lost in more ways than one.
Eve might be able to help him find his way home, but can she help him to find himself, too and is she in danger of losing her heart in the process?

This story was a little different. The hero’s been lost since his late wife’s suicide and he has no idea how to find his way out. The heroine is so well put together. She’s a beacon of hope, a bridge to newness he hasn’t seen before. But will he let her in, let her become the home he needs?
I’m more accustomed to the hero being the voice of reason, the hand reaching through the darkness to save his love interest. It was nice to see that reversed in this story.
Landon and Genevieve are good together. They’re good for each other. The attraction between them wasn’t all BAM!-like for me but was more subtle. It built to that roar, was acted on, and valued, especially by Landon who realized that his next bestseller was nothing compared to having Genevieve in his life. The man who was lost was finally found.

Landon Foster is a “driven” man who puts too much pressure on himself. Experiencing writer’s block despite the beauty surrounding him at his cabin in Creede, he goes for a walk, soon getting lost in the sudden snowfall that completely covers the trails.
Fortunately for Landon, Genevieve Brooks is also out hiking and knows the trails thoroughly, having lived here all of her life. As they get to know each another, she sees Landon’s pain. Is she willing to risk her heart to bring him out of his misery? Or will her own fear of rejection make her step back from the challenge?
This is a good story with lots of “feels”. Grab your copy and see if a HEA is indeed waiting for this couple or if they will deny themselves the love that waits for them.

Landon goes for a walk to clear his head but then gets lost and is rescued by Eve.
Landon meets his neighbors as he leaves the cabin for a walk and they tell him that their niece will be staying in their cabin while they are in Florida. He heads off up the mountain to try and clear his head of his worries with the book he has nearly finished but has got stuck on, his wife’s suicide and his mother death followed by his discovering he was adopted from papers in her belongings. He is so distracted that he does not notice the snow getting heavier and covering his path and when he does turns back realizes he is lost when the trail he is following comes to a dead end. Shortly after he turns back his leg gives way and he falls into onto the snow. Eve arrives at the cabin after picking up some food and is surprised when her aunt rings and asks her to keep an eye out for their neighbor who had gone for a walk as they left but was not yet used to life in the mountains. She heads to his cabin to check on him but gets no reply so returns home to dress in her snow gear and go look for him.
