Joel has a way with words, that is amusing, while maintaining the edge-of-seat story line.
Goldman weaves a wonderful story that makes you continue reading to see how it all turns out…and you are not disappointed.
Liked the evolution of the main character. Didn’t really see the plot unfolding as it did. Kept me interested. A pleasant surprise.
always a new slant on mysteries
Enjoyable. It kept my attention from the start.
I had read a couple other books in this series already. This is the first one. It brought the story line together for me. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Good “noir” characters and Kansas City jazzy setting.
Well written, author knows his subject and it shows. The book is easy to follow, the chapters leave you hanging so you have a problem putting it down. Your wife yells at you because your always reading that damn book!
Book 1 in the Lou Mason series. I love all of these books.
