A sexy new forbidden romance from #1 NYT Bestselling Author Lauren Blakely about a sports star and the woman who’s off limits…It should have been a simple play… And oh hell, did Jillian ever drag her nails down my back on one hell of a hot night. Okay fine, it was several hot nights on the road.
Now we’re back in town and it’s time to set the play clock back to when we were simply player and publicist. Given the way the last few years have gone, I can’t risk this deal, so it’s hands off for us once again. Trouble is, I want more than than just another night with her.
What’s a guy to do when he’s always been most likely to score, but the woman he’s falling for is just out of bounds?
***
I don’t date players. And I definitely don’t sleep with players. And I absolutely don’t fall for a certain player when I get to know him and learn he’s more than just sexy — he’s clever, funny and has a heart as big as his . .. well, you get my drift.
But my job is at stake, and I can’t afford to lose that as well as my heart. The problem is, I think I’ve already lost that game.
What’s a girl to do when the clock is running out, but the man she’s falling for is off limits?

I so loved this book. More than I thought I would. Even when I knew there was a happy ending coming, I still cried my eyes out until I got there. I loved everything about this book. The playfulness. The flirting. The angst. The uncertainty. The sexiness. The love. I want more of these two. I didn’t want it to end, except I did because I wanted that HEA. Highly recommend you read MOST LIKELY TO SCORE now!
Want more for this series.
Jillian Moore is use to handling difficult, it comes with the territory when you work in PR, but she has never known difficult quite like her new client Jones Beckett. He is a PR nightmare really, constantly in trouble, constantly partying and taking home random women, and his coaches have had enough, he either cleans up his image or he is out…so they bring in Jillian to get him back on the straight and narrow. While she isn’t so happy about the new job, she is happy about the promise of a promotion so she reluctantly takes on the teams nightmare… and winds up finding a whole lot than she bargained for… Jones Beckett is trouble with a capital T!!
Jones Beckett knows that he is treading on thin ice with the team and his coaches, he knows he shouldn’t be partying and taking home random women, but he just can’t seem to help himself, it’s an addictive little habit he just can’t seem to break. His coaches have warned him, gave him time to clean up his messes, but as of yet he hasn’t held up his end of the bargain, so now they are bringing in PR guru Jillian Moore to help him get his nose clean. He is quite delighted with the fact that she is going to be hanging around him day in and day out, because then he might finally be able to get her to give him a chance, he has been admiring her for sometime now, and he’d love to have the chance to lure her into his bed… problem is she doesn’t seem to know he is alive or show any interest!
Most Likely To Score is a erotic little page turner that is sure to score a special place in the hearts of romance readers, with it’s heartfelt emotion, naughty encounters, and exquisitely crafted characters you just can’t go wrong with this one!! Between the pages of this one you will find two characters who are forbidden to get involved with one another, and both of them have a lot at stake, but neither of them can seem to keep their attraction for one another in check when they are near one another. Before long they are sneaking glances, lusting after each other, which ultimately leads to a little hooking up, and as much as they try to work one another out of their systems they just can’t seem to let go… and that means some super sexy encounters for readers to enjoy!! I highly recommend you pick this one up, the minute these two wander onto to the page you will be completely mesmerized with them, and will find yourself quickly deciding that forbidden has never looked so good!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this tile.
Jillian and Jones are super cute together. This is another one of Lauren Blakely’s magnificent, steamy, romantic, laugh out loud stories. It pulls you in from the beginning to the end, leaving you yearning for more.
No idea why I didn’t listen to this book before now but I am so glad I did. I loved Jones and Jillian he is character to be sure! I love that he owns who he is and wants to change thing to be better. Who doesn’t love a man with growth?
Jillian is very straight forward and goes for what she wants. Does she have a massive crush on Jones HECK YES she does but she is professional even when he makes it hard. 😉
I do like how they come together organically it felt like it was something at could actually happen because they do work so closely with each other. Also note there is very little dramalama and you know if you have been following my reviews how much I detest dramalama I am all for a little but not unnecessary drama. This book had none of that but it still gets us to where we want it to go.
I loved the narrations by the way I haven’t listened to Zachary in a while so it felt like a delicious treat in my ears for his pov’s and Andi is always good so totally a win for the ears with this beaut.
Most Likely to Score is a standalone novel by one of my favorite all-time authors, Lauren Blakely. I have read every single word she has ever written and have loved them all. If you read Most Valuable Playboy then you should remember the flirty receiver of the Renegades, Jones Beckett and his favorite team publicist, Jillian Moore. Well, this is their forbidden romance…
Jones needs to clean up his reputation. Jillian needs a man to pose with puppies for a charity calendar. The camera happens to love Jones and he happens to love puppies and kittens. This is exactly what he needs to show the world who he really is. A man with not only big hands but a man with a even bigger heart. He also happens to have other parts to him but those are the parts that Jillian has been trying to avoid. Her motto isn’t “don’t look down” because she hates feet. She is all professional with the flirty, sexy as sin man but out of the office…that’s a different story. She has been crushing on him for years. And when that crush becomes a reality one night in Miami, she wants more. More of him. All of him. But, they can’t go there. Not only is his rep on the line but so is hers.
They have to keep this professional. He needs these deals to keep him on track and to help his family. She helped him land the deals and needs to stay on task. It’s her career and she damn good at it. They both know this but what if they took the risk? What if this is more than a fling? What if this is what love stories are about. Pushing boundaries. The out of control lust for the other. The deep connection that makes your heart flutter. Seeing the real person and not the image of the person everyone else sees. Is that love worth the risk of losing what you have worked hard for in the past? This is what Jillian and Jones have to ask themselves during the months of hiding their feelings. The feelings they have been hiding from even themselves. Will they take that risk? Is Jones the man Jillian wants to spend a lifetimes falling asleep on?
Wow! Lauren has done it again! She has given us another Blakely Man that made me swoon, cry, and tingle. Jones loves animals, cherries, and hot showers. I mean…hot showers. He has the perfect blend of cockiness, humor, sweetness, filthiness, and heart to make my heart feel full. Jillian is one lucky girl, but Jones is also one lucky man for having her. She is beautiful inside and out, passionate, and giving. Together, they are one amazing couple that I was happy to watch from the sidelines. The heat. The heart. The laughs. The forbidden. I loved it all.
Overall…if you love a forbidden romance with swoon, animals, and luck then you have to read this book! It’s a fast read that will make you want to go out an adopt a new pet. It will also make you want to make a cherry pie. And it will also make you want to take a cold shower if you don’t have the option of some playtime with your man, woman, or BOB.
P.S. I loved seeing Jess!
Quotes:
“You’d be donating your time freely.”
“Puppies, Jillian. Puppies.” I smile.
“There will be kittens, too.”
“Meow,” he says, brandishing his hands as claws.
“I want you tonight. I want all of you.”
Jones makes me feel like all my sexy songs. He makes me laugh. He makes me think. He challenges me. And he gives me so much of himself.
I loved the fast paced excitement of the couple
A truly amazing story that was fantastically written. This author is extremely talented and delivers the perfect amount of steam, romance and humor in every story. Jones and Jillian’s journey was beautiful and had me swooning from the very beginning.
Another winner from Lauren Blakely!
Most Likely to Score is the story of Jillian, a team publicist and Jones a football team star. Witty and full of fun characters as well as lively banter, this book is a page-turner from the start.
We start off with Jillian, she’s worked hard to make her own spot in the sporting world as a publicist. Jones, the hot star from the team (full of other hot stars) by day and a playboy by night. It’s time to clean up his image and Jillian is just the girl to get the job done. Only don’t look now, she’s falling for Jones, as he turns out to be more than just a pretty face with a great pair of hands.
Good plot and secondary characters, no grammar errors to slow this game down. 5-star winner.
Just a happy read. I loved this book
Love this series!!!
Read 1/11/18
Most likely to Score was another scalding hot romance by Lauren Blakely. Technically it was a standalone; however, we were introduced to the characters previously in Most Valuable Playboy.
Jones Beckett was a star Wide Receiver for the NFL team, the San Francisco Renegades. He was a fan favorite but off the field was known more for his partying ways and womanizing reputation. He had a heart of gold but it was typically hidden behind his flirtatious manner. His new agent was working on improving his reputation by letting the world get to know the real Jones Beckett.
Jillian Moore was a PR representative for the San Francisco Renegades. She worked closely with Jones on several team promotional events. She was wildly attracted to him, just as every other woman he came in contact with; however, she had perfected her demeanor to show indifference to his charming personality and totally hot body.
Blakely unraveled a fun storyline while building the professional and personal relationship between Jones and Jillian. It was fast paced with low angst and filled with light hearted humor. It was simple yet enjoyable and entertaining. Blakely also included multiple epilogues- Bonus!
I loved this charming, steamy, forbidden romance! Jones and Jillian have worked together for the same football organization for years. They have also been attracted to each other all that time. Neither has acted on that attraction, always being totally professional, well at least Jillian was. Sexy wide receiver Jones was always outrageous, trying to get Jillian to go out with him. But now Jones needs to clean up his reputation. He and publicist wiz, Jillian, work closely on a project to help with that. They soon are unable to deny their fiery attraction. But when they have to keep it a secret, it takes a toll on them both. Jones and Jillian are both wonderful characters that are caring, thoughtful and fun. I loved them both along with their loving, and supportive family and friends. Ms. Blakely creates mature, witty characters who are socially conscious, work hard, and play even harder. Their world is a place I love to visit and feel apart of. This is a heartwarming, fun and sexy romance that you will want to read again and again!
Jones and Jillian are the cutest and I loved their story
Boring
I find it very difficult….No..impossible, to pass up any of Lauren’s books.
I like reading Lauren’s books. I love a series so I can keep reading about the characters and want to know what happens to them down the road.
I get so excited when a Lauren Blakely book hits my e-reader. She’s one of my go-to-author’s when I crave a swoony romance. Most Likely to Score is a swoony, heartfelt, albeit funny romance that tackles the issue of workplace relationships.
Jones Beckett (the man with some very big hands) is kicking his playboy status to the side. He’s cleaning up his act to focus football and business only. That was the plan until Jillian Moore was recruited to help him with his image.
Jillian is very focused on her career. She’s very close to promoting to VP of publicity for the San Francisco Renegades. She keeps business and romance separate until a work trip lands her in bed with the object of her dirty dreams, Jones Beckett.
Jones and Jillian leave their heated relationship behind when they return home and get back to work. If only it was that easy. They are determined to stay focused on work but a heart knows what a heart wants.
I love Jones and all his fears and superstitions. He wants to provide for his family, he fears losing everything. Jones struggles finding his own happiness because of his fears. I love the conflict! As always the resolution has me cheering and in this case also laughing. 5 #luck #goodfortune and #love stars.
I just loved Jillian and Jones and I think I had a smile on my face the whole time I read this book. I loved seeing how he tried to overcome his playboy past and learning what a good guy he genuinely was – even after being duped. He and Jillian shared that in common – both of them had been betrayed (though in vastly different ways), yet they were able to get beyond the skepticism that can cause and come together. The way their relationship developed was so sweet and fun and I REALLY liked how they resolved the big issue that came with them being co-workers of sorts and him being so high profile. The epilogues were adorable and featured one of my favorite aspects of the book (and any book really) – their families. 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses and here’s to hoping that we’ll get more stories from the Renegades team (hopefully Harlan)!
This is an absolutely amazing book!! I adore Jones & Jillian so much! They have chemistry that is through the roof! I love how he messes with her during his photo shoot and I love how they both have the hots for each other but they don’t know it! That makes for some fun internal dialogues during the alternate POVs which I love!! Of course getting together would not be very smart or ideal since she is the publicist for his team and she is supposed to be helping to change his image. But then who ever said being smart is the best option?
The storyline was fantastic as always and it had just the right amount of all the special ingredients we expect from Lauren’s books!
And those epilogues, well they were just crazy wonderful!!
