He’s a powerful billionaire CEO who built the family business into an empire. The money doesn’t matter to him, but the company is his life. And then his eccentric mother wills it all to her tiny dog.I’m Vicky, the dog whisperer. (Not really, but that’s what my elderly neighbor always says.) When she dies, she surprises everybody by leaving a corporation worth billions to her dog, Smuckers. With … to her dog, Smuckers. With me as his spokesperson.
Suddenly I go from running my Etsy store to sitting in an elegant Wall Street boardroom with Smuckers in my lap. And my neighbor’s son, Henry Locke, aka New York’s most eligible bachelor, glaring across the table at me.
Rumor has it Henry’s a business genius who’s as talented in the bedroom as he is in the boardroom. Sure, he’s gorgeous. Sex-in-a-seven-thousand dollar suit. But…
He’s arrogant and infuriating.
He refuses to listen to me when I insist I didn’t con his mother.
He thinks he can bully me, buy me off, control me, even seduce me.
Henry may have the women of Manhattan eating out of the palm of his hand, but I’m so over entitled rich guys who think they own the world.
No way will his wicked smile be charming ME out of my panties.
His wicked…devastating…impossible-to-resist smile.
Oh well, who needs panties anyway?

My Rating: Five Sinfully Sexy Stars*****
I loved, loved, loved Most Eligible Bachelor! I’m a huge Annika Martin fan and adore her romantic comedies. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy all her work, including her darker contemporary romance as well as her romantic suspense written by her alter ego Carolyn Crane, but there’s just something about her sparkling, sultry prose in her lighter, upbeat storylines that really revs my engine, probably because my favorite component of every book is always the characters, and romantic comedies are generally character-driven, focusing predominantly on the people. And this is where Annika Martin truly shines as a writer. She’s not only an exceptionally talented storyteller and skilled wordslinger but also a genius at creating gruff, growly, hard to get along with, and often unlikeable brutes and turning them into sexy, adorably cute, and irresistibly charming heroes as the story progresses. And handsome billionaire Henry Locke is no exception! He’s soooo swoony! *sigh* But let’s not forget her heroines who are always sassy, spunky, intelligent, independent free-spirits with hearts of gold – and feisty, kindhearted jewelry designer Vicky Nelson aka Vonda O’Neil is delicious perfection! The attraction between Henry and Vicky is not only immediate, it’s also undeniable. The connection between these two polar opposites literally explodes from the pages and their interaction is beyond entertaining. But despite their differences, they complement each other perfectly! And let’s not forget Smuckers, the toy Maltese everyone loves! Smuckers was soooo adorable! I laughed, snickered, snorted, sniffled, shouted, fumed, and outright sobbed like a baby through the entire book but by the end, I was happy, satisfied, and well entertained. This may be categorized as an enemies to lovers romantic comedy, but it’s filled to the brim with an engaging storyline, heartbreaking angst, realistic conflict, relatable characters, laugh out loud humor, snappy dialogue, steamy passion, and heartwarming love, all the elements of great drama including a beautifully written, clearly-defined first-person dual narrative. Most Eligible Billionaire is so much more than just a romantic comedy. Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! There’s absolutely nothing I didn’t enjoy about this book! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language, adult humor, and dreamy sex. The relationship between Henry and Vicky is more of a slow, seductive burn but when these two finally do get together, it blazes out of control, so much so that it literally explodes from the pages, Although there’s no real violence, there is a reference to a past trauma that may be a little upsetting to some readers, and there might have a been a very well-deserved punch thrown by the hero to a very deserving villain. Henry may have started out as a rich, spoiled badboy accustomed to always getting his way but eventually, he becomes a real knight in shining armor. Love will do that a guy. Sigh… So dreamy! Will I read this author again! Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome rea
I read it in one night. It’s a page-turner.
Great romance story sprinkled with great humor involving a dog.
Loved it. Fabulous writing. Can’t wait for the next one!!
Enjoyed the writing style and characters.
One of the most entertaining books I’ve read in years. Funny dialogue, unusual premise, charming characters (including a dog named Smuckers). I loved it so much while reading it on my Kindle that I paid $12 for the paperback as a gift to a friend who doesn’t use e-readers so that she could read it.
I expected this to be a typical romance novel, it wasn’t. I was bamboozled in a good way. I love it
Silly premise. Fast read with no surprises.
What do you do when an excerpt for a book makes you cry ? you buy it !! especially when you’re a 55 year old woman he thinks tears are a waste of time
Cute book and quick, fun read.
Well written, interesting and entertaining even though predictable.
This book was fun and I really enjoyed the story.
Well-written. A nice little love story with some laugh-out-loud moments.
This story is a perfect example of those strange things that can happen in real life and how two stubborn strangers can come together and find respect and then love for each other.
I loved everything about this book … the story, the characters, and the writing.
Have you ever read a scene in a book that was laugh-out-loud funny, but you were in a situation where you couldn’t laugh out loud so you tried to stifle it but it leaked out in an embarrassing giggle-snort? This book will do that to you. Many times.
I absolutely loved this story of enemies-to-lovers. It was the romantic comedy I didn’t know I was looking for. A heroine who you root for. A hero who starts as such a jerk but who you grow to love. And a dog. What more could you ask for? This book was such a treat. And the next book in the series is great, too.
This was a hilarious enemies-to-lovers rom-com. I highly recommend it to readers of the genre!
Had to skip over many, many pages – too much explicit sex. F*** used when that could have been left out and not changed the story line. Please leave that out of print.
