He’s a powerful billionaire CEO who built the family business into an empire. The money doesn’t matter to him, but the company is his life. And then his eccentric mother wills it all to her tiny dog.I’m Vicky, the dog whisperer. (Not really, but that’s what my elderly neighbor always says.) When she dies, she surprises everybody by leaving a corporation worth billions to her dog, Smuckers. With … to her dog, Smuckers. With me as his spokesperson.
Suddenly I go from running my Etsy store to sitting in an elegant Wall Street boardroom with Smuckers in my lap. And my neighbor’s son, Henry Locke, aka New York’s most eligible bachelor, glaring across the table at me.
Rumor has it Henry’s a business genius who’s as talented in the bedroom as he is in the boardroom. Sure, he’s gorgeous. Sex-in-a-seven-thousand dollar suit. But…
He’s arrogant and infuriating.
He refuses to listen to me when I insist I didn’t con his mother.
He thinks he can bully me, buy me off, control me, even seduce me.
Henry may have the women of Manhattan eating out of the palm of his hand, but I’m so over entitled rich guys who think they own the world.
No way will his wicked smile be charming ME out of my panties.
His wicked…devastating…impossible-to-resist smile.
Oh well, who needs panties anyway?

What a great twist to the girl meets billionaire story! I loved it!
This was a wonderful story, but I wish they would change the title. I don’t usually read “billionaire” love stories because they are so unrealistic. This was not at all. The characters are realistic and believable. I highly recommend this book.
fun reading with right amount of sass, surprises and romance
I loved this book! I hated that it ended!
Funny, page-turning, steamy-hot billionaire romance.
I’ve had trouble lately getting into books, and I’ve been blaming it on Covid, calling it quarantine brain. But, I had zero trouble diving into Most Eligible Billionaire.
The premise is outlandish, yes, but I found myself seriously laughing out loud as Vicky (aka Vonda) winds up in her insane situation. And, Henry….well, I started swooning for this book boyfriend before Vicky did. The evolution from enemies to lovers is well played and coincides with the character growth, which is always a solid sell to me.
Towards the end, credibility on one or two plot points had me saying, “I don’t think so.” I mean, have you ever tried to move to another country with a pet? But, whenever I let reality sink in when reading romance, I remind myself that there there are quite a few plot points in Mission Impossible that have no bearing in reality, and yet hundreds of millions of people love those movies. So, fake ID worthy of immigration to the EU in less than twenty-four hours? Go for it.
I’m being snarky. Quarantine brain at play. I seriously loved this book. It’s fun, I loved watching these two fall for each other, and I might even re-read it. But not before reading the next one in the series… Billionaire’s Wake-up Call Girl.
Great read
This one made me laugh and smile. I had a good time reading it. The female lead is a wonderful character. The male lead has some redeeming qualities. The ending has quite a 9th inning stretch.
I just discovered finished Annika Martin’s Most Eligible Billionaire, and I immediately ordered two more of her books. It has everything I want in a book – it’s emotional, sexy, with a wonderful plot and three-dimensional characters. I loved it!
Loved this book. The dialogue was so engaging. The story line was a little bit “Pretty Woman” but better and more! Definitely worth the read.
I really loved this book!
You just got to fall in love with Henry!
This story has it all, fun, romance and a little suspense!
A must read!!!
Well if you enjoy quirky romantic comedies this is the book for you! Vicky ends up in a bit of a situation when she becomes the executor of a little Maltese named Smuckers. Maybe two can play this game to get what they both want. Dual POV (less)
This is a wonderful romantic comedy with truly enjoyable quirky characters. Just a delight. You will not be disappointed – Oh and try it on audible – free on audible escapes – very well read by the narrator!
Great take on the cocky billionaire and the non-materialistic, quirky heroine with a big secret lurking on the edges of their HEA.
I REALLY enjoyed reading this book. It’s an enemies to lovers story you are going to love!! The story is interesting from beginning to end and for those people that feel it’s important for an HEA, this is the book for you!! The slow burn drove me crazy but I enjoyed every moment of it!! I laughed out loud and there was tension that made me catch my breath and my heart beat faster, not to mention the very hot, pulse pounding sex!! I definitely recommend this book and I have to say, even with the HEA I would love for the story to keep going!! It’s been mentioned and bears repeating, I want some Smuck U merchandise pronto!! (You will understand when you read the book.) I really hope this convinced you to one-click this book because it’s worth every penny!! Enjoy!!
The author added a unique twist to the usual love story between a rich man and a struggling-to-get-by woman and it works. It kept me reading and the HEA was well deserved.
“I love how you breathe. Sometimes you just breathe and I want you.”
This is my first book by this author but certainly won’t be the last. I can’t wait to catch up on this author’s book. The writing just flowed and had me engrossed to the story from start to finish. The storyline was intriguing and pulled me into the story from the first page. It was written in dual POV. It is fast-paced, romantic, sweet, witty and sexy journey of discovering yourself, letting go of your past and becoming who you always meant to be.
Henry Locke is a powerful billionaire CEO. He is a playboy, heir and starchitect. Henry is also charming, commanding, private, intense, compex, loving and caring.
Vicky Nelson aka Vonda O’Neil is a store owner (dog whisperer). She is bold, beautiful inside and out, caring, loving, smart and snarky.
Henry and Vicky! I love them together. From the moment they meet they are trying to deny their attraction and undermining each other every step of the way, pushing each other’s buttons. While they are getting to know each other their feelings grow more and more. Henry and Vicky simply understand each other. They both have insecurities and are jaded from the past but from different reason. Vicky was such a strong heroine who knew how to stood up for herself. Their chemistry and the build up was amazing. This was an enemies to lovers romance and it was quite well written and developed. I loved Henry and Vicky’s journey to their happiness. It wasn’t easy but it was very deserved. It was filled with angst and drama. They were frustrating, funny, quirky and loveable. The epilogue was amazing.
This book surprised me in a good way. Recommend it!
I love this series!!
Vicky has been living the last seven years looking after her sister and hiding from a past she is desperate to forget. Through an episode of mistaken identity she is manipulated into a ‘relationship’ with Bernadette and her dog Smuckers. In her will Bernadette leaves her company shares to Smuckers with Vicky as his dog whisperer translator. This does not go down well with the family!
This story is stormy, steamy, witty, well written and the characters are wonderful.
I didnt like this book didnt hold my interest at all.
This one was a little different and it moved along nicely. A nice story to check out for awhile.
