He’s a powerful billionaire CEO who built the family business into an empire. The money doesn’t matter to him, but the company is his life. And then his eccentric mother wills it all to her tiny dog.I’m Vicky, the dog whisperer. (Not really, but that’s what my elderly neighbor always says.) When she dies, she surprises everybody by leaving a corporation worth billions to her dog, Smuckers. With … to her dog, Smuckers. With me as his spokesperson.
Suddenly I go from running my Etsy store to sitting in an elegant Wall Street boardroom with Smuckers in my lap. And my neighbor’s son, Henry Locke, aka New York’s most eligible bachelor, glaring across the table at me.
Rumor has it Henry’s a business genius who’s as talented in the bedroom as he is in the boardroom. Sure, he’s gorgeous. Sex-in-a-seven-thousand dollar suit. But…
He’s arrogant and infuriating.
He refuses to listen to me when I insist I didn’t con his mother.
He thinks he can bully me, buy me off, control me, even seduce me.
Henry may have the women of Manhattan eating out of the palm of his hand, but I’m so over entitled rich guys who think they own the world.
No way will his wicked smile be charming ME out of my panties.
His wicked…devastating…impossible-to-resist smile.
Oh well, who needs panties anyway?

This started out fun, with the crabby old woman, a cute dog and an innocent hard working woman. When she is left with control of a mega company as the dog whisperer the antics are hilarious. I really enjoyed the banter and all the supporting characters. Then they had sex, fine but it took over the story for too long, before getting back to the characters. It just didn’t fit in the mood of the story for me, it felt like comic romance to erotica to romance.
Wow, I had no idea how much I needed this book until I started reading. It’s laugh-out-loud funny, sweet, sexy, and tempered by the perfect amount of angst and drama–not too much, but enough to make me sad at the appropriate moments, so that the reward of the HEA is felt that much more!
This is the second book of Martin’s that I’ve read, and I’ll definitely be buying more in this series because they’re the perfect escape.
I just loved this story and wish it didn’t have to end but such a beautiful ending it was!!!!
Great idea and what a great twist to leave a major corporation to a dog. So entertaining! Great ending!
I couldn’t put this down and I kept thinking about the characters even when I wasn’t reading it.
Too much sex for me
I loved this book a lot more than I expected to. I mean—for starters—Smuckers, the billionaire dog in charge of a conglomerate. That could have sent the book off into too much silliness but instead, thanks to a serious backstory, the story was a good balance between laugh out loud and realistic.
Absolutely loved this
Neither lead character is likable.
crazy premise but a fun read. I really enjoyed it.
I read this book three times and loved it. The characters were so awesome. Loved it, loved it, loved it!
shows what a clever woman can accomplish if she tries
These characters had me laughing out loud! Loved it!
I truly enjoyed this book and wish I could give it 6 stars. Absolutely loved the writing style. Loved the characters. Loved the story line. Loved the witty humor and romance. Very refreshing style of writing. Thank you. Will go back for a re-read some day. Don’t pass up this read.
I love spunky characters and the action never stopped! Loved it.
It says it’s funny, but I only found a couple of small humorous parts.
Love love love this book ! I didn’t want to put it down it was so fun to read especially in these trying times , a real feel good story. Thanks for the pick me up.
Knowing love can concur all gives you hope for everyday. Henry carving the Griffins proves there are men out there in touch with the ones they love.
Was not the most interesting book I have read.
I enjoy a sexy read as much as many others, but this book had too little plot and too much descriptive sex.
