Since I lived in S.E. Florida for many years I could identify with this story.I moved there in the early eighties and could see this being very realistic.The crooked politician and the developers disregard for the environment.Also really enjoyed some of the characters in this story.

I’m from this area. He definite writes like a local. He captures the personality of the people here wonderfully.
This is the second Jake Lassiter book I’ve read, the fourth in the series after reading Fool Me Twice, the sixth. I liked that book enough that I wanted to read more in the series. Not anymore.
