#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts’ Circle Trilogy begins with an epic tale that breaks down the boundaries between reality and the otherworldly, while forging together the passions of the men and women caught in a battle for the fate of humanity… cliff overlooking the raging sea…
Belting out his grief into the storm, Hoyt Mac Cionaoith rails against the evil that has torn his twin brother from their family’s embrace. Her name is Lilith. Existing for over a thousand years, she has lured countless men to an immortal doom with her soul-stealing kiss. But now, this woman known as vampire will stop at nothing until she rules this world—and those beyond it…
Hoyt is no match for the dark siren. But his powers come from the goddess Morrigan, and it is through her that he will get his chance at vengeance. At Morrigan’s charge, he must gather five others to form a ring of power strong enough to overcome Lilith. A circle of six: himself, the witch, the warrior, the scholar, the one of many forms, and the one he’s lost. And it is in this circle, hundreds of years in the future, where Hoyt will learn how strong his spirit—and his heart—have become…

Oh dear god I loved the circle trilogy! Morrigan’s Cross is the first book in the trilogy and it is seriously epic! One minute I am thousands of years in the past and then I am in modern day New York. Don’t even get me started on the characters, they got to me right away and I was hooked from the moment Hoyt met the witch under the tree. Trust me, to anyone that wants to read the whole trilogy, as the books continue you’ll really fall in love with the brothers and oh god you’ll cry. But it’s worth it!
I really enjoyed this version of the Morrigan and how Hoyt gets tangled with Lilith. He’s crazy strong as a sorcerer but he’ll require a circle of 6 to beat Lilith. He’s hoping to get his brother back and is surprised to find he’s just as interested in getting rid of Lilith also. Not because of who or what she is but he resents her trying to force them to do her biding. He, Cian, doesn’t like bowing to her whims, he wants to be his own man.
To gather the circle needed Hoyt will have to travel through time into the future to find his group. He finds 1 and reconnects with his brother and a man who calls Cian friend. They travel back to Ireland, where Hoyt finds all the family he knew has died along with their families. They stay in his old family home that Cian had acquired along the way. They end up gathering their 6 and lose one on the way but they are a strong unit. Ready for the next step.
By the way this is being told by an old man to a group of youngsters sitting by a fire on a cold and rainy day. Looking forward to book 2 of 3…. hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Loved it
I love all her books so not surprised I loved this one too
This has always been my favorite trilogy of Nora’s, though there are a few others that follow close behind. I figured it was time for a reread, knowing this story would allow a good escape from what we’re seeing in the world right now. It did not disappoint. Glenna and Hoyt’s love, the coming together of their circle of friends as called to face Morrigan’s fight… I will never tire of revisiting this world.
Nora Roberts is my all time FAVORITE read, and movies . I’ve been reading her books since i was 15 and will continue to read them over & over again. I love the characters, the story lines, hust everything about her as a person.

This is book one of a Trilogy which I have read, and listened to thru Audible many times. I love the story and all the characters. My only objection is it ended too soon, wish there had been one final chapter.
This is the first in the trilogy. The whole story with all three books is awesome and entertaining. This first books introduces you to the main characters. This is one of my favorite love/drama/horror stories of all time.
Great read! Love Nora Robert’s trilogies, can’t wait to read the next two in this one!
I’ve loved Nora’s books since I was a teenager, and she’s one of the authors who influenced me tremendously in my own writing career. I admire her ability to write in several genres and to draw the reader into the worlds she creates, whether it’s romance, thriller or police procedurals. Amazingly accomplished author!
