This was definitely a case of don’t just a book by it’s cover. Mia thought Isaac was a playboy because he went out with so many women and he was charming. Issac thought Mia never did anything fun because she rarely smiled and she worked a lot. He never would have thought that such an outdoorsy adventurous spirit dwelt within her. Mia was hurt by her cheating ex-fiance and her father giving him the CFO job at his company that she thought she deserved. So she has shut her family out and put up walls around her heart. Their boss and Issac’s uncle sends them to the Valentine Bash that her father puts on in her home town, dangling the prospect of promotions if they are successful and land the advertising account. It means Mia will have to face her past. And along the way she discovers that Issac is thoughtful, kind, and not at all what she expected. I loved this sweet overcoming first impressions romance.
Don’t let the title keep you from reading this book. SPOILER: Isaac isn’t what I consider a playboy at all. END SPOILER More Than My Playboy Co-Worker is a well-written, clean romance. Mia has been hurt and betrayed by her father and her now ex-fiance and no longer lets anyone get close. Isaac only dates the same woman 2 or 3 times before he’s on to the next one. It doesn’t sound like a match made in heaven, but Danae Little turns it into a great love story. Both characters turn out to be very likable. Isaac truly listens and is able to connect with Mia. Most of the story takes place in the small town with a ski resort that Mia’s from. I recommend this to readers of wholesome romance. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion.
Loved it!
Love at the Ski Lodge
This is a sweet and clean romance that takes place at a ski resort in the Sierra Nevadas. The story is quite good! There is all the detail a reader needs, but none of the inane details about dress or food. It is good to have a story that has just the right amount of detail – and this is it! The same is true of the different characters. There is the detail the reader needs, but not an avalanche of unnecessary detail. I enjoyed this story and love this author’s work. I received this ARC book for free and this is my honest review
Another fun story to add to this series. I like that Isaac helped Mia laugh again. He was so good with her and for her. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. Mia was so broken, yet she didn’t allow others to bulldoze over her. I was proud of her for standing up for herself and facing those who hurt her, even though it was hard.
Mia is one tough chick. She’s been used, lied to, and cheated on yet she keeps on going. Her heart is closed off and she is highly suspicious of men, especially handsome ones. Enter Isaac and his apparent free and easy lifestyle. Forced to work together in close proximity, Mia’s opinion begins to change. She is reluctant to see Isaac as genuine but the evidence almost matches his words…until it doesn’t. I enjoyed this clean romance. I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
An interesting fun well written romance. This sweet quick and easy to read office romance is an enjoyable clean story with a good HEA. Mia no longer lets anyone get close after been hurt and betrayed by her father and her now ex-fiance, but thrown into going home and facing her past for a promotion with Isaac, his charms slowly break thru her walls. I was engaged from the beginning to see if Mia could learn to trust again and to learn Issac’s story. A great must read with amazing characters and storyline.
Mia is very hurt and angry with her father and cheating ex-fiance. When she is paired up with Isaac her co-worker who seems to never lack a different date, she is not happy. But as they work together she begins to see things in a different light. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
