Please note that this is the third book in the series and should not be read prior to reading the first two.
More Than This
More Than Her
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.” – Marianne Williamson
We live in a world of darkness and shadows,
where monsters hide and … shadows,
where monsters hide and aim to ruin.
And they did.
They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares.
But now we’re back.
And we’re fighting.
Not just for us, or for each other, but for our light.

After the emotional wreck I was at the end of More Than Her, I was more than ready to get back into the story of Logan and Amanda. I think a lot of readers are going to be super frustrated with Logan after the end of book 2, so I want to vaguely reassure them that there was a reason to his madness.
I really like the Tristan character, I wonder if we will get a story for him or not. If there’s not one, Jay McLean, we would probably all love to see his love story.
More Than Him is a story that truly shows how sometimes we need to fall apart in order to fall back together. When it seemed as if the entire world was against them, Logan never gave up hope that he could make things right. I think that’s the kind of mentality all of us girls want in a man!
I’ve already moved on to More Than Forever, because I just can’t stop reading. Warning…if you get your hands on this series, be prepared to be addicted!

After the ending of the previous book, I really had to know what would happen with Logan and Amanda. Their relationship has been such a whirlwind of intensity and destruction, and I had no idea how Jay McLean was going to bring them back from it all.
I devoured this book, as I’ve come to expect I will with any of Jay’s books. I found this one really delved into their feelings and the events that surrounded certain things which occurred in the previous book.
Logan and Amanda are so good together when things are going well, and it was a bit eye opening in this one to see how their destruction played a role in other peoples feelings as well. There are such great characters in this series, and I can’t wait to read more and more about them. I liked how this showed how differently people deal with situations. How they can be in the same place or witness the same thing, yet it affects them in a totally different way.
And Logan, sweet sweet Logan, just really needs some good in his life. He’s a decent guy underneath it all, and I totally understand why I’ve seen plenty of people saying in their reviews that they love him. I do too.
Loved this one from start to finish, and I can’t wait to dive into the next book from this series. Always recommend. (Note, this series must be read in order).

: More Than Him
: More Than Series #3
: Jay McLean
: 5/5
Before diving into my review, I just want to emphasize that you have to have read More Than Her before you can start this book: the book starts of where More Than Her finished. Logan and Amanda broke my heart in tiny pieces; this book it is so emotional. The good kind of emotional and there was a lot of healing needed. Their story takes time and the author really took the time to do their story justice. They both have matured a lot and are trying to find their way back in the world, and hopefully back to each other. I already mentioned Lucy in my review of More Than Her, so this side character shout out goes to… Logan’s Dad. He plays such an important part in their story and is just such an amazing character. The push and pull and slow pace might be too much for some readers, but I hope you’ll give Logan and Amanda a chance, because they might surprise you in the best way possible!

This book took my heart through a blender at times it felt like the universe put them together only to have a seemingly endless amount of heartache. Then the magic, that is Jay McLean’s writing starts to heal your heart alongside the characters.
Mountains to climb and internal demons to battle had Logan protecting his heart most of his life but in one moment he met Amanda.
I adored Amanda she had a forgiving nature but also wouldn’t let people walk all over her. Logan will always hold a bit of my heart as I have a deep understanding of using laughter to cover pain. I admired the growth he showed throughout these books and seeing him with Amanda in their happily ever after made my heart “thump thump”
Finally Logan and Amanda get there happily ever after and all is right in the world.
Logan is back after a year away and ready to get back the love his life.
Logan is one of those characters you don’t expect. When we meet him in More Than This you think he’s a jerk, one of the guys, but slowly you saw more and more of him as he developed sweet relationship with Mikayla and you get to see how selfless he is, he will do anything for the people he loves even if it’s detrimental to him but he isn’t willing to let Amanda go anymore.
Logan and Amanda and their story will stay with me forever. I love both of these characters so much! This story really is my all time favorite of this author, even though it is really hard to pick!
Love that this couple had two books. It was a great book.
4.5 stars!
I am quickly becoming addicted to Jay McLean’s writing. I am kicking myself for taking so long to try her books. Her writing is phenomenal. More than Him is the conclusion to More than Her. It is emotional, angsty and steamy. Amanda and Logan are tough. They are resilient and stronger together after all they endured. I devoured this in one sitting. Logan is home after spending a year doing Doctors Without Borders. The moment he runs into Amanda again and they lock eyes he knows he will do everything possible to make her his again and never let her go. Their journey is a rollercoaster of emotion and is so beautiful. The message this book portrays is one of friendship, forgiveness, hope and healing. I loved they slow build to forgiveness. The two really put in the work. Their love story and connection is undeniable. After the ending I am dying for Cameron and Lucy’s story next in More Than Forever.
Ever had a series you just can’t stop reading? yeah well, this is one of mine 🙂 Couldn’t put it down and just wanted to know if Logan and Amanda got their happy ending in the end. love their relationship and really rooted for them to work everything out after all that happened. another amazing read! Cannot wait to read the next one in this series!
I loved the conclusion of Amanda and Logan’s story. I felt a strong connection to the characters and the circumstances keeping them apart. The time jump IMO was vital to the authenticity of their story. I also think that Logan keeping a journal was a unique and fresh way to get his POV on his time away from Amanda. Now that more than a year has passed since the end of their first book, I am curious to see how that’ll pay out throughout the rest of the series. Will we get the other couples experiences during that time, will it be after Logan’s return or a bit of both?
I feel a Julie Andrews spinning on top of the mountain moment coming on. Oh, what a great wrap up of Logan and Amanda’s story. There were feels all over the place, like eleventy-three of them. Dear Logan, Thank you for fighting the good fight for your girl. You both deserve each other. Can we cuddle? Love, Me.
