Please note that this is the second book in the series and should not be read prior to reading More Than This.
“For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
For every choice you make there are rewards, or there are consequences.
It was my choice to walk away the first time.
And my choice to chase her the second.
But sometimes you don’t get a choice,
and all you get are the …
and all you get are the consequences.
“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”
Unless that someone is Logan Matthews.
Because loving him didn’t give me the strength to walk away.
It didn’t give me the courage to fight for him.
And when it was over, all it gave me was a broken heart.

I am absolutely loving this series and I am only on book 2! This book starts out overlapping some events from book 1 and tells the story of Logan. Logan is one of those characters that you’re sure you’re going to love to hate and then he turns out being one that you just love.
Logan shows us one of those times where you have to really reserve judgement on someone because you never know what’s going on in their home life or in their past that you might not know. Circumstances and people really shape who we are.
Amanda wasn’t a character that really stuck out to me from the first book, if she was in it. But once I started reading her character, I was enthralled. One of those girls who doesn’t realize her worth, but has also been through so much and that has only made her stronger and more desirable.
The end of the book is a tad bit of a cliffhanger, so I was extremely glad I had book 3 ready to go. I would recommend the same!

¡Qué twists tan inesperados! Logan me caía perfecto desde el primer libro. El final me shockeó, pero me encantó
Amanda. Desde el libro uno me intrigó su breve aparición.
¿Qué va a pasaaaaaar?
The twists in the story! The angst! I mean. Wow. Logan was one of my faves and I loved knowing he got a book… or two. The ending in the first book was a shock, but the story in this one was amazing. Amanda intrigued me since I read her brief appearance.
What’s gonna happen now?
2020 re read –
I’ve upped my rating for this book , Jake fucking andrew’s is amazing ! He’s patient and kind and loves with his all !!! Kayla has gone through a lot !! And she has every right to be emotional and unsure of herself because of that .
I love this group of friends ! This is such a great book for the start of this series and I’m super kean to continue my re read a thon for the read for them !!
Initial read:
More then a lot liked it
I really enjoyed reading this book !
There’s a lot of feels intended and explored
I gave it 3.5 stars though because the parts I felt should have been more then emotional just didn’t quite reach me … could be that a lot of it was unrealistic so therefore difficult to emotionally connect to !? There was also a lot of unnecessary anxst from Kayla and it was difficult to believe that they didn’t kiss properly for as long as they didn’t ….Kayla was also naive about a lot of things but then .. I guess she is only 18 …
Nevertheless the characters are lovable and I loved the way the group of them just seemed to get along and were welcoming to Kayla from the get go . I am looking forward to reading more and get to know more about them in the next book of the series !

Copy kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
WHAT THE WHAT!! Excuse me for a moment while I try to calm myself down. That ending?! Omg. I need the next book stat!
Logan and Amanda were all kinds of a whirlwind. Their story has so many layers to it, and so many domino effect things happening, that I couldn’t put it down. I really liked both of them as main characters, and I just want them to be happy.
I love this circle of friends and whilst there were some fun and sweet moments, there were plenty of serious and intense ones too. I don’t know how she does it, but Jay McLean manages to pull me in and leave me hanging by a thread every time.
I am absolutely loving this series, and I can’t wait to read the next book. I need to see how things play out!

: More Than Her
: More Than Series #2
: Jay McLean
: 5/5
Oh Logan. After having read More Than This, I had to dive in to the next book as soon as it was possible. Logan looks like your typical party boy at first, but he’s so much more than that! There is so much more to his character and I love it how the author dives into all his struggles and past. I love angsty books and this was definitely one of them. I have to mention (Drunk) Lucy, my spirit animal, my girl, she’s everything and more… one of the best (side) characters of this whole series (I’ve read all of them already, but rereading and reviewing at this time). Next to a whole lot of laughs, make sure you got your tissues ready; because it is an emotional ride… and there is a lot of push and pull between Logan and Amanda. Their journey is quite special and the book ends in a “sort off” cliffhanger, but not to worry! More Than Him (the next book) is already available!

Logan F****** Mathews.
Logan is so much more than what most people see the only ones lucky enough to see the real him are his friends and Amanda.
Logan and Amanda have an intense connection from the very beginning. When they are good everything is right in the world. When things are bad they are atomic bomb level bad.
Logan had a past that he thought was behind him but it seemed it was just waiting in the background ready to ruin him.
This was incredibly emotional and although I have read it before I am keeping this review short because I need to immediately start More Than Him
Let me just say I am glad I read this book after the next book had already been released or this ending would have killed me.
We all met Logan in More Than This and although he didn’t always come off the best he had some of the sweetest moments and after getting to know him in More Than Her I am absolutely in love with him. He is and incredible guy who is always there for his friends and when he finally gets the opportunity to fix the mess he made with Amanda he definitely shows just how incredible he is. Ghosts from his past threaten to take everything he has ever wanted away from him in an ending that will gut you, but don’t worry it’s not really the end.
Book one of Logan and Amanda. Logan is so high up on my list of favorite male characters of all time. I can’t say enough about how much I love this book and how much I recommend it to everyone!
Loved this book.
4 STARS
I was looking forward to Logan’s story throughout all of More Than This. I had so many questions about him and couldn’t wait to get those answers and dive into this story. Logan is a beautiful complex character! He is not without his flaws. He definitely made mistakes but there was something about him that you couldn’t help but route for. Amanda is a fighter. She is resillient to all that life has thrown at her and she has a big forgiving heart! A common theme in this series so far beyond the love is friendship. I love all the the characters, even secondary and their love for one another. There bound is incredible and I cannot wait for their stories later in the series. Jay McLean writes with passion, heart and angst. There is nothing predictable about her writing and throughout the entire book I was addicted to the story and every page kept me wanting more, more more!! My reason for rating this 4 stars is that there is A LOT of teenage angsty drama that honestly got to be too much for me at times but in no way did it take away for my love of this story and these characters. Cannot wait to start More Than Him, next!
A series you just can’t seem to stop reading once you’ve began! I just loved Logan in the first one and fell even more in this book! never saw that ending coming!
I really loved how the relationship between Logan and Amanda evolved; how they were trying to heal each other. I definitely liked how the interacted 🙂 Can’t wait to read the next one!
Love, love, love this book!
(3.75-4 stars)
I was a little worried at the beginning that I wasn’t going to enjoy this one. The timeline at the start gave me whiplash. Then a bit unbelievable was that one-minute Logan is in love with Mikayla but after one conversation with a buddy he realizes he isn’t. Once the timeline slowed down and I got over that in love/friend love bit, I did enjoy Amanda and Logan’s story. I was panicking towards the end but then calmed down after finding out their story would continue in the following book. I can’t wait to read book three and see what’s next for these two.
I devoured this in one day and I’m chomping at the bit to dive into book #3. Sometimes when I see people write stuff like “I swooned” I’m kinda like really?? OMG I totally get it! Logan made me swoon!! Happy face with wink emoticon! All I can say is poor Amanda, girl can’t catch a break! Dear Logan, WTF?! I hope you get your crap together in the next book! Seriously, you guys are great together. Love, Me.
