This book pulled me in from the beginning. A wonderful friends to lovers book. Dane and Sterling have been best friends for a long time. A game of truth or dare has them realizing things have changed between them at some point. Beautiful story.
This was a really enjoyable story. Well paced, wonderful main characters and supporting characters, mixture of love and sadness with a sprinkle of darkness. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and I think, if like me, you’ll really like this book!
Dane Crawford and Sterling Cranefield have known each other and been best friends since the fifth grade however he has more than a crush on her.
The story has some very funny moments that literally had me laughing out loud. A tipsy Sterling is a crack up but generally speaking she has a great sense of humour anyway. The main characters are able to laugh at each other and the banter is fun. As well, there are some darker times in the story where you go through completely different emotions but feel them you definitely do.
I really liked the characters, well except Ryan, and found they were easy to relate to and easy to like. They were interesting too, with different professions and personalities. The chemistry between Dane and Sterling is red hot, the intimacy scenes were supercharged and you could almost feel the passion oozing off the pages.
This is the first book by this author that I have read and I am impressed with the fast paced story that is super easy to read.
Be prepared to laugh and to cry, both in equal measure. Dane and Sterling are best friends, but they’ve always harbored feelings-that-dare-not-be-shared for each other. The stars finally align and, with a little persuasion from their friends, they begin the transition from a couple of friends to a COUPLE. There are some bumps in their road, some larger than others, but their story is both hot and natural. Their HEA is richly deserved and their story made for an enjoyable read. So much so that I was done with the book before I knew it!
Side note: I wanted to sob for Max, but that’s likely a story for another day. Or so I hope.
I liked this friends to lovers romance. It was easy to read Dane and Sterling’s story. I thought that these two had great chemistry and I loved the connection between them. The storyline was light and fun but also offered plenty of emotional turmoil to provide the reader with lots of feels.
For me, this book was one of those that you love but hate to see end!
This book absolutely drew me in and had me at a point of saying adult words!
After finishing this book I went and looked up the author and will be reading more books from her.
Im voluntary leaving a review.

More Than Friends
The More Duet, Book 1
By: Tarrah Anders
Narrated by: Lacy Laurel, Gregory Salinas
This is a great friends to lovers romance, it is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Sterling Cranefield and Dane Crawford have been best friends forever. Dane wanted to be more than friends, he secretly crushed on Sterling but he did not know how to tell her, afraid she may reject him, afraid it would ruin what they have. The problem is he can not get involved with another woman, he only see Sterling. Sterling thought she was falling in love with her boyfriend but he turns out to be a jerk and winds up breaking her heart. And as usual her best friend Dane helps her nurse her broken heart. Dane realizes this is his time to tell her how he feels and after a dare had him kissing her he knew that was no ordinary kiss. That kiss ignited the chemistry between them, a chemistry neither could deny. In addition to the friendship and romance between the two leads there are storylines with secondary characters, their friends Max and Betsy, Max is Dane’s partner at their firm. There is never a dull moment in this book, it is nicely plotted with plenty of drama, some angst, lots of heartfelt emotions and a wonderful romance. Tarrah Anders thank you for this fabulous story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
I listened to the Audible edition, Lacy Laurel and Gregory Salinas are perfectly casted to bring Tarrah Anders characters to life. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the characters emotions and project them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Dane and Sterling. They are best friends and have been since they were kids. They have never crossed that friends zone, both dating other people thru the years. Now Sterling is dating Ryan but there is something about it that’s not sitting right, especially when Dane sees him eyeballing lots of other women. When he breaks up with her abruptly she sells comfort in Dane’s arms. Then one night after a few drinks their best friends Max and Betsy suggest playing truth or dare. When Max dares them to kiss, it sets the ball rolling into more than friend territory. They have a head relationship but an unexpected tragedy leaves them reeling. Great HEA in the end.

Is it just a game of Truth or Dare
More than Friends is a bit different from the books which I read and discovered Tarrah Anders through, The Neighborhood series. More than Friends is well written and has a great story-line of friends to lovers and more. Dane and Sterling grew up together and have been friends since forever. A game of Truth or Dare and everything gets turned upside down as they end up having to confront their feelings and face a new reality in their relationship.
I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading the next in the duet. I would recommend this book to other readers who already know Tarrah Anders or would like to find a new author.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Going from best friends to lovers can be trying. First there is the fear of getting out the friend zone and ruining your friendship. Plus the doubt if the other person’s feelings. Dane and Sterling have been friends for decades. They were attracted to each other but never acted on it. Fear and insecurities held them back. A game of truth and dare changed everything. They took a risk and won. This book deals with more than just the friendship between our main characters. Old friends, new friends and long distant friends all play a part in this story. Love and heartbreak Makes up this story. It shows that family is not always blood.
An attention-grabbing book one in “The More Duet” and it is an enjoyable read with drama, humour, heart break, ups and downs, and a game of truth or dare. The story line is well thought out, emotionally deep, and consistent; I was captivated from the first page. Likeable characters you will root for as they transition from best friends to lovers. I look forward to book two. Definitely recommended!

Dane and Sterling have been friends for 17 years. Best friends. The played a game with their friends Max & Betsy. That game was Truth or Dare and it changed everything. Their feelings came out but not in full force till they played another game & BAM all feelings came out in the open. They finally showed each other how they felt & ended up getting married but not until something happened in their life. This book really took a turn I was not ready for. It was a good turn but dang. Can’t wait to read more from Tarrah

These two characters will catch your attention and keep it right to the last word. It is so easy to get swept up into the story and become completely invested in this couple. The storyline grabs and holds your attention well with a blend of emotions, drama, and romance. I loved this incredible sexy and sweet romance!! Happy reading!!
Dane and Sterling have been best friends since they were children. He had feelings like a crush, and realized that its much more, but doesn’t let her know. He dates a little, but isn’t remotely interested in anyone else. She’s dating someone, but Dane doesn’t think that Ryan deserves her. And he’s right. A game of Truth of Date, and a lot of alcohol, and things begin to change between them. Despite the fact that Ryan is the one who broke up with Sterling, he’s not quite ready to let her go. Dane and Sterling have their ups and downs as they head for a happy life together. I love this book! It’s such a departure from her neighborhood books that I’ve been reading. The characters are real, and have tremendous chemistry together – as soon as they’re willing to finally tell the truth about their feelings. The book is both happy and sad, and so much like real life.
