“I’m your new roommate.” Four simple words turned my life upside-down. I can’t let a man—a baseball-playing stranger no less—move into my apartment. Even if he doesn’t have anywhere else to go. Bryson Daniels is too familiar—too much like him. He’ll discover my secrets – my obsession. I was already questioning my insanity, but one unlucky collision in the hallway may be enough to send me over the … obsession.

Having read and been a huge fan of Marie James’ Cerberus MC series but I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. It’s nothing like any of her work I’ve read before and I may have underestimated it!
When you’ve become comfortable with an authors writing and they put out something completely different it can be hit of miss, More Than a Memory is definitely a hit!!
It’s highly emotional, deals with the physical and emotional aspects of loss.
Olivia’s pain jumped right off the page and into my heart. Once the truth of her relationship was revealed I was heartbroken.
You know somethings not right wither her and Duncan’s relationship but just can’t quite put your finger on it.
Thank goodness she had such a responsible and understanding roommate.
Bryson is a baseball player, he may be have females throwing themselves at him but he’s not a huge jerk. Yeah he has his moments but this man is all heart.
He’s patient, kind and willing to put forth the effort to pull Olivia out of the darkness that has become her world. To care for her, to show her that life does go on and that she can be a part of it without completely giving up the things she fears losing completely.
Sometimes the person you want to help is too far gone though.
Both Bryson and Olivia will have to be willing to fight or all his effort may have been a waste of time.
So this was not what I expected, I underestimated this book thinking it may be cookie cutter, it may feel like a dozen other books I’ve read. Ms. James did not disappoint! I was hooked early wanting to know exactly what it was the felt so off, then easily falling head over heels for Bryson’s giving heart and unfailing strength he offered Olivia. His determination to help her made him so easy to adore.
And watching Olivia attempt to take back her life, to try and fail only to try again.
More Than a Memory is an amazing story, I’m so glad I read it!

This book is Amazing and I definitely needed tissue for this. Marie writes a great story from start to finish.
Oh my heart!!!! I am not even sure where to start with this one. I have been a huge fan of Marie James since I picked up my first read from her and I have anxiously waited for every release since, and I have loved them all. With this new release I expected it to be great. More Than a Memory met my expectations and gave me so much more.
A beautiful, heartfelt story of a woman who let the pain of her past rule her life and the man who is determined to help her live again. I have never had a book to simultaneously keep me on the edge of tears, and giggling at the same time. James grabs hold of all of your feels and keeps them in her capable hands for the entire ride.
More Than a Memory has blown me away and solidified a spot as one of my top reads this year!
Love story like no other
This is a great work of art by Marie James.
The story had me captivated from the beginning.
The heartbreak and love this book has is amazing.
Just what each other needed in their lives.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This book was a good surprise cause it does describe the suffering people with depression and other health issues deal with and how their lives impact others without being either clinical or tear jacking. It´s not only a love story with a few steamy passages, it´s specially a story about overcoming difficulties, of letting being helped of wanting to live and love again. Although a sad subject it is written with humour and grace.
Wow! I was totally blown away with this book. So deep, meaningful and emotional. It really pulled at the heartstrings. Marie James has taken her writing to a whole new level…
Olivia wants to live alone, and be left alone. Her mother has other plans though, and rents a room out in her apartment…
Her new roommate Bryson, is attracted to her from day one. He knows she’s not interested though. He hears her talking to her boyfriend everyday. But still can’t stop his feelings for her…
I cried, I laughed and held my breath while reading. I prayed for these to characters to find a happy ending. Such a great book !
WOW, I just can’t get enough of Marie James! The blurb doesn’t tell you just what this story is about, and I’m not going to spoil it and tell you; must read it for yourself.
Olivia is in love with Duncan, but she can only see him on the computer, and it has taken over her life. This separation is taking its toll on Olivia; she barely eats, stopped going to school, she sits by her computer and waits for when its time to chat with Duncan. Her mother decides that its time for a roommate, and this is where Bryson comes into the picture.
Bryson see Olivia and at first he keeps his distance, but slowly Olivia creeps under his skin, the need to see her more, the need to be with her, but he is respectful of Duncan, until he has to make her see that he is in front of her and Duncan isn’t.
To say that this was amazing doesn’t even give it enough praise. The twist you never see coming, you keep asking yourself if Bryson will get Olivia to see the truth. The sexy times were incredibly hot. 5 stars all the way!
