Sarah Morgan is back with more love and laughter in her acclaimed series, From Manhattan With Love, which Publishers Weekly calls a “sweep-you-off-your-feet romantic experience.” Determined to conquer a lifetime of shyness, Harriet Knight challenges herself to do one thing a day in December that scares her, including celebrating Christmas without her family. But when dog walker Harriet meets her … celebrating Christmas without her family. But when dog walker Harriet meets her newest client, exuberant spaniel Madi, she adds an extra challenge to her list—dealing with Madi’s temporary dog sitter, gruff doctor Ethan Black, and their very unexpected chemistry.
Ethan thought he was used to chaos, until he met Madi—how can one tiny dog cause such mayhem? To Ethan, the solution is simple—he will pay Harriet to share his New York apartment and provide twenty-four-hour care. But there’s nothing simple about how Harriet makes him feel.
Ethan’s kisses make Harriet shine brighter than the stars over moonlit Manhattan. But when his dog-sitting duties are over and Harriet returns to her own home, will she dare to take the biggest challenge of all—letting Ethan know he has her heart for life, not just for Christmas?

I love Sarah Morgan’s books. I smile all the way through them. This one was as wonderful as the others I’ve read.
Determined to conquer a lifetime of shyness, Harriet Knight challenges herself to do one thing a day in December that scares her, including celebrating Christmas without her family. Ethan and Madi’s story has that fabulous Sarah Morgan warmth and humour. She is always a great read.
This was the first book that I have read from this author and it is a delight. Wonderful characters, amusing dialogue and a moving story.
For some reason that she never understood, Harriet Knight’s father hated her. Her twin sister Fliss and brother Daniel had protected her as much as they could, but she grew up extremely shy and with a stutter. She and Fliss have a very successful dog walking business, because Harriet is wonderful with the dogs and their owners. Now 29, with both her sister and brother in relationships, she has decided to challenge herself, to step out of her comfort zone, which they had been providing her with. The first challenge is online dating, but it goes horribly wrong and she ends up in the ER, where she meets Dr. Ethan Black. Working in the ER, Ethan had learned that the only way to not come home every day, emotionally drained was to put a wall around his heart and now he believes he is no longer capable of letting it out. Fate steps in, when Ethan’s niece breaks her leg out on the West coast and his sister, Debra, asks him to take in her dog Madi, while she goes to collect her. Harriet is her dog walker. Harriet and Ethan get off to a rocky start, but Ethan soon realizes that Harriet is the kindest woman he has ever known and asks her to dog sit, because of his long hours at the ER. Can he open is heart to this wonderful woman and show her has special she is?
“Do one thing every day that scares you.” This is our heroine: Harriet’s motto for a month and it was such a joy to watch her try to better herself with this challenge. Our hero: Ethan can be a little scary, especially for someone as shy and timid as Harriet. But a cutie pie pup forces them to spend more time together, easing her comfort level. With tons of chemistry, some emotion, humor, and Sarah Morgan’s guaranteed smiles, Moonlight Over Manhattan is another winning addition to an already amazing series. From Manhattan with Love is a collection of connected standalones so just pick one and get started!
My favorite quote:
“Who invented flu?” “Someone who decided that even a confident man needs to be laid low once in a while. It’s good for you to be reminded that you’re not all-powerful.”
Sarah Morgan’s From Manhattan with Love series includes the following installments as of December 2017:
#0.5: Midnight at Tiffany’s
#1: Sleepless in Manhattan
#2: Sunset in Central Park
#3: Miracle on 5th Avenue
#3.5: A New York Christmas Fairy Tale
#4: New York, Actually
#5: Holiday in the Hamptons
#6: Moonlight over Manhattan
Another great book by Sarah Morgan. I loved this book and the two main characters Harriet and Ethan. I was rooting for these characters from the first moment they met. Harriet is a somewhat shy person who gives herself a challenge for everyday until Christmas. The challenges are very important to her so that she can gain more confidence in herself and do things that her siblings always did for her. Ethan is a strong decisive man who has to make quick decisions due to being an ER doctor. He has become emotionally detached from his emotions due to he intensity of his job. All this changes when he meets Harriet. Throughout this story there are highs and lows. Harriet and Ethan both help one another overcome issues that have held them back from pursuing a more loving, meaningful and emotional relationship. This book is well worth the read. If you have read all the books in this series you will definitely not be disappointed with this one.
Enjoyed it!
Had a few love scenes, but otherwise clean.
Moonlight in Manattan is the 6th book in the Manattan with love series, but can be read as a standalone.
The storyline was well planned &
The characters are well developed. Especially Harriet, it was so interesting & beautiful to see her transform & becoming more self-assured, independently during the story.
But also Ethan grows, he realised a lot about his past and himself during his time with Harriet.
I enjoyed all the interaction with the dogs, especially Ethan, who fell in love with them.
Sarah Morgan wrote a well-build world with wonderful characters. Moonlight Over Manhattan is a story about courage, pushing boundaries, friendship & love.
It is filled with emotion, it made me laugh one moment & cry the next.
I truly enjoyed reading this story, and recommend you to read it.

Great read!
Have you ever read a book and been so intuned with the main characters and the life lessons they are learning, that you want to savor every single word and ponder the challenges and changes they are encountering, yet the story is so enthralling you want to inhale it as fast as possible so you can get to that happily ever after moment that fills your heart with joy?! Moonlight Over Manhattan was that kind of experience to me and it left me encouraged and inspired.
I love this series so hard. It is one of the three series from this year that I have both in ebook and paperback. The way Sarah Morgan tells the story – with the natural, smooth flow and low-key, life-like build-up of the moment with the charismatic characters, who are easy to relate to and in the main focus of the tale – it creates an atmosphere and environment where you want to spend time in with people you grow to genuinely care about.
Harriet Knight is a sweet, kind, considerate, shy, and loving woman who can cook like Ramsey, who loves the concept of family, and adores dogs of all kind. Her growth and development through the story are remarkable. The way she challenges herself to each day to do something that is not easy to her, something that she is not good at, something that makes her uncomfortable, and then survives it, and at times excels in them, was so inspirational. She has her burdens and wounds from the past and current challenges but learning to accept them and live freely with the scars is encouraging. Everything she faced, even if not similar to me personally, the road to the acceptance and excellence was filled with thoughts, revelations, and a-ha moments that were relatable, thoughts I wanted to savor, ideas that resonated in my mind, heart, and soul. I underlined more than ever while reading this book because there were so many moments and thoughts I want to go back to again and again.
Then you add that swoon-worthy, melt your panties type of adorable, smoking hot romance with sizzling chemistry between her and Ethan Black, where they first spent time together to really talk, to get to know each other, to see who the other one is, what they value, what they will fight for, and what are their weaknesses and vulnerabilities, and I wanted to start to read the book again as soon as I finished it.
With the genuine feelings, true, escalating emotions, charterers you grow honestly care about as you read the tale with a storyline rich in difficult conversations, delightful banter, humor and heartbreak in equal measures, I delighted in this story and treasured each word of it. Moonlight Over Manhattan is one of the favorite books I have read, a story that will stay with me in my mind with its hopeful and reassuring message of ‘we can do hard things’.
Highly recommended, indeed.

I love Sarah Morgan’s writing!
I really enjoyed the story and characters. Harriet took challenges that scared her, and because she faced her fears, she became a confident and strong woman. Ethan and Harriet fit together. They strengthen each other and complement each other perfectly.
Moonlight over Manhattan is Book 6 in the From Manhattan with Love Series but is easily a stand alone.
There is so much I loved about this book. This is the first book that I can remember that I actually woke up in the middle of the night thinking about. I had to grab that book and finished it as I knew there was no way I was going back to sleep.
There were several really good quotes. My favorite is when Harriet is referring to hot chocolate as ‘hug in a mug’.
The banter Harriet and Ethan (aka Dr. Hot) have is what I think pulled me into the book. It was so realistic. Like I was there watching it unfold. I could visibly see when Harriet took a deep breath to get control of her stuttering. I also could feel Ethan’s shame when he realized that because of his attitude it caused Harriet’s reaction.
Ethan thinks that Harriet is a solution to a problem he has fulfilling his promise to his sister to take care of her dog but she turns out to be so much more.
I love that Harriet has no qualms about standing up for herself and putting Ethan in his place. She’s so much stronger than she gives herself credit for.
Harriet’s on a mission (Challenge Harriet) to do one thing every day that scares her.
Throughout the book we actually see Harriet gradually become more and more confident. We also see Ethan become more attached (‘in clue’) to others around him. I could see with his profession it became a necessity to be ‘detached’.
I enjoyed the secondary characters, Ethan’s sister Debra (aka secret matchmaker), Susan, a colleague (doctor) of Ethan’s, and Fliss (Harriet’s twin sister).
The author did a very good job of writing that had me connecting to this story throughout the book. I really enjoyed reading this book and have already bought the audio version because I know I’ll be able to listen to it again before having the time to re-read it.
