One werewolf: Free to a good homeThree months after becoming a shifter, my bloodthirsty beast fights me for control of our shared body. My boss is unhappy with my erratic behavior. Clinging to humanity during a problematic road trip in charge of human students, I’m left wondering whether my ordinary life will be there when I return for it.
And will Claw still speak to me when my wolf is gone?
This is the second and final book in Aimee Easterling’s Moon Blind series.

„Moon Dancer“, the second part in the „Moon Blind” duology by Aimee Easterling, is the conclusion to Olivia and Claw story. After her shifter genes have finally taken over, Olivia struggles to come to terms with her new werewolf life, while Claws tries patently to ease the change. The story allows Claw character to shine; he, who obviously lacks the experience of “not-being-shifter”, displays enormous patience when dealing with the situation and Olivia’s denial.
The story develops with plots and unexpected twists page after page, that take the reader in a rollercoaster of feelings, showing the very relatable struggles of both characters in pursuit of their own flavour of happiness. This is a very unique series, featuring a career driving FMC that after finally achieving her goals, has to dealt with the unexpected situation of becoming a shifter. The mix of academic archeology and UF works beautifully, while Olivia and Claws relationship is captivating. The superior writing and very special attention to detail that are trademark of Mr. Easterling works, make the story a very good rounded one in just two books. Possibly one of the best series in the vast Easterling werewolf-verse
This is book 2 of the series and l was totally captivated! I was surprised when unanticipated things happened and l was captured and drawn in to the story. I recommend this for readers who want to feel that warmth and happiness that happens when a good book comes to a finish. I also listened to the audio book and can recommend the narrator, she does a brilliant job.
Really enjoyed reading Moon Dancer. The story is well written and draws you in. The characters are well developed and likable. Aimee Easterling is a great author and one of my favorite. I highly recommend reading. (I received this book as an arc and am leaving a voluntary honest review)
Being a werewolf does not mesh with being a professor, as Olivia learns in this book. Still struggling for control over her wolfish side, Olivia is determined to find a way to give her wolf to someone who wants its. To this end, visions from the same cave girl from the past give her a direction to head in. But being a wolf comes with complications that require the assistance of Claw and his pack, help from her father, and the inclusion of students on the journey. Twists, surprises, and revelations that you won’t see coming will have your attention throughout the book as the fast-paced story takes you on a mad dash alongside Olivia as she finds her true self. I would have loved seeing more stories from Olivia and the gang, but the series did come to a satisfying end.
Dr. Olivia Hart worked hard to have the career she wanted, unfortunately, being recently changed into a werewolf makes it difficult to teach. Olivia is fed up with her other half and believes she has found a way to ride herself of the wolf. The only downside she can find is Claw, the alpha she has fallen for, and whether he will have any interest in her when she is human. Olivia will have to convince her department head at the college where she teaches to authorize and archaeological gig to the area she has been seeing in visions/dreams sent to her from an ancient shaman.
Interesting, unique, and sometimes amusing characters in a fascinating world. Action packed, exciting, ancient magic, and hellhounds, this is a must read, with unexpected twists in the plot. Fantastic book, and a wonderful end to a captivating series.
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
Moon Dancer by Aimee Easterling is the second book in the Moon Blind Duology. I have always admired the author’s ability to include descriptive details that make her worlds come to life. This book is rich with those details, but there are too many descriptions and not enough time spent on the characters connecting. My favorite character is Claw. He’s very patient with Olivia who struggles with accepting her inner wolf. Her inner turmoil does make the story drag and I didn’t like Olivia’s character as much in the second book. The adventure is interesting with some suspense. The story kept me guessing! I couldn’t figure out who the main bad guy was until the reveal. I liked the conclusion, but I still think the first book, Wolf Dreams, was more exciting.
I received an ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.
The second book in the series, Moon Dancer, kind of had me chewing my nails. That said, I actually love the book. Olivia’s story has plenty of twists and turns and we’re introduced to some new characters, lots of adventure and a nail biter of an ending. Really hope that Ms. Easterliing will visit with Olivia and Claw’s world because I have the feeling that there are many more stories from this world. Enjoy!
As usual Ms. Easterling brings to life characters who capture your imagination. I enjoyed the book. I thought it was well written and I did not see any typos. I thought the story line was interesting and I would recommend the book to others who enjoy shifter romances.
I loved Wolf Dreams, the first book in Aimee Easterling’s Moon Blind series. I happy to report that Moon Dancer (Book 2) is just as great. This is the conclusion to Olivia and Claw’s story and it’s done just perfectly. A very complex plot that’s still easy to follow. Truly imaginative and creative world and superbly crafted cast of characters. Frankly this book had everything I look for on a paranormal story and, but for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series. Fans of book 1 will also love this tale. As for newcomers, you can actually read this stand-alone but, trust me, you’ll be missing something great (both as a stand-alone novel and as background to this one) if you skip book 1 so I strongly suggest reading both in order.
I have never read any of Aimee’s books that I haven’t fallen in love with it and the characters and this one is no different. They are so entertaining and fun. This is the second and last book in the series but they can both be read as stand alones. If you have never read any of Aimee’s books you really need to start, you don’t know what you are missing! Thanks Aimee!
Overall rating : 4.5
Although this can be read as a stand-alone , I recommend reading book one of this series to get a better feel for these characters. With that said, the storyline follows suit perfectly, with the MC pursuing a solution to her dual nature. For me, the solution she seeks lowers the MCs intelligence level but hey, we as readers don’t always have to think highly of all the characters . This author still maintains her excellent writing skills and delivers a book two filled with suspense and adventure. This flows easily enough to be read in a day without interruptions. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
ONE INTENSE ADVENTURE!!!
Chaos and mayhem! Aimee rocks this baby from the start. One tumultuous wild ride with a surplus of unexpected misfortune and surprising incidents that blasts all of your emotions into play perfectly. One intriguing storyline and compelling plot jolts this baby together smoothly. All the drama, angst and suspense make for one incredible experience. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few bumps and bruises bring this baby together fluidly. One non-stop action packed, fast paced, page flipping delight that grabs your attention and holds it until the last page. The characters and scenes are written in true to life form that brings this little guy bursting to life delightfully. Amazing job Aimee, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
