This whole series is awesome!!! Spunky underdog female character. I highly recommend any of her books, but especially the Mercy Thompson series.
Urban fantasy series with were coyote car mechanic with sassy, take no bull attitude runs into all sorts of other fantasy creatures, and has on again, off again relationship with local werewolf boss, and. her bestie is a vampire. Just story in series can be a stand alone read but more fun tovread them in order and watch the relationships mature.
I love this series!
Just re-read this book for the third time. Briggs introduces her flavors of paranormals with flair. I love her combination of seemingly random historical fun facts and literary allusions which are wonderfully mixed in with all the action and werewolf/fae/vampire/etcetera politics.
All of Patricia Briggs’ stories in this series are wonderful. I love everything about them.
Patricia Briggs titles are an auto buy for me. Loved her early work,( The Hob, Raven strike, etc.) And feel like I know all the characters in the Mercy Thompson books. She keeps them fresh and interesting. If you want a good read that you can really sink into, start with “Moon Called” and read all about Mercy and her friends.
My favorite author!
This is an entertaining werewolf story with a likable protagonist. A fun, quick read that promises much more to come.
I loved it, I really don’t have much else to say.
i love mercy thompson
You can’t not love these characters.
Patricia Briggs is one of the finest writers in her genre. Read ‘Moon Called’ and you will see why. As an extra for me, the geographic location of her stories is also where I live. I delight in the way her characters occupy a landscape I know well.
I tend to go more for the sexy reads but I instantly buy every book that comes out in this and the spin off series. The author has totally hooked me on all the characters of these books and I just want more.
I absolutely LOVE Patricia Brigg’s Werewolf series and Moon Called is your perfect intro to this fabulous series! As soon as the latest book is released, I generally read through the night and then some! The stories are filled with action, paranormal events and romance iced with just enough conflict to keep everything edge of seat interesting. The wolfpack aren’t anonymous — as readers, we are alloweded to know them individually and sometimes, intimately. And what a great, unique heroine is Mercy, a cayotte playing with the big, bad wolves and the Fey, let’s not forget them! And then there are the vampires, very, very old vampires who make demands and often must accept less when dealing with Adam’s and Mercy’s pack and the Fey.
That’s only a glimpse of the troubles a VW mechanic can get into in one of the most boring area of Washington State. It’s magic was well hidden during all my drives through that area — who knew?
Give Moon Called a try and you’ll soon be hooked!
It took me a long time to get over the cover (which would normally turn me off as I’m not generally in the reading business to see women’s bodies on display) of this book and open it and read. However, I’m so very glad I did. This series is excellent and this first book is a great start to it. I also recommend the audio versions.
Patricia Briggs is one of my favourite authors. I have probably re-read this book in excess of 10 times. Quick easy reads and very likeable and relatable main characters.
These books were okay, not my favorite series but kept my interest to read 2-3
I was never really a fan of werewolf stories (book or films) for the most part. I seen the Mercy Thompson series on a site of book reviews and recommended reads. Somehow, the universe guilded me to Patricia’s books and I was hooked within the first few chapters. Not many authors can grab my attention like that and hold on to it throughout an entire series. Her use of Indian and other cultural myths along with her versions of werewolves, vampires, fae, etc. is very interesting.
Such a page-turner. Love this series.
Mercy Thompson is always a great read
