A passionate embrace ruined her reputation. A moment of desire forced him to break a vow. Will they find love in a marriage of convenience?Annabelle Evans arrives in Bear Grass Springs, Montana Territory, in 1884 hoping to reunite with her long-estranged sister. Expecting to attend her sister’s wedding to Cailean MacKinnon, she is shocked at Cailean’s pronouncement. With his “I’m not marrying a … With his “I’m not marrying a whore” echoing in the General Store, Annabelle discovers that her hoped-for reconciliation will not be as she had imagined. Not one to retreat from a challenge, Annabelle opens her own business, intent on remaining near her sister to repair their damaged relationship and succeeding without the support of a husband.
Cailean Mackinnon swore off marriage twelve years ago when he fled the Isle of Skye in Scotland. A successful livery owner, he is determined to focus on his work and his siblings, adamant that he has no room in his life for love. However, he cannot suppress his fascination for the resourceful and determined Annabelle who, in turn, cannot avoid a reluctant admiration for the strong, virile, loyal Scot. A fateful kiss witnessed by the gossiping town busybody forces their mutual attraction into the open.
Annabelle’s independent spirit precludes a man in her life, and Cailean’s closed-off heart refuses to allow any woman in. Will Annabelle and Cailean overcome their fears for a timeless love?

Good book
very good story
Love it,will Definitely Recommend it to everyone!!!!
If loved this book. I will be reading the whole series..
Good romantic story. Not difficult to concentrate on. Nice to read a love story that’s not murder or mayhem.
The main characters were both impacted by their past and had to share with one another and build a relationship, which they ultimately did.
I usually don’t read historical romance novels set in the American west but I actually enjoyed Montana Untamed. The main character, Annabelle Evans, a talented baker from Maine, heads west to find her estranged sister to reconnect and to give her the money their deceased father had set aside for his daughters. Unintentionally, Annabelle is forced to marry the bitter owner of the local livery and at the same time save her sister from her dishonorable life in the local house of ill repute. The characters are believable, the story is well developed and the ending is bitter sweet.
I found myself unable to put this book down! It was charming, had great characters with depth, and sincere romance.
Interesting characters working against prejudices in small Montana town. When Annabelle arrives expecting to find her estranged sister prepared to marry a Scottish immigrant she is shocked to find that Fidelia is instead a hooker at a local brothel and her supposed intended, Cailean, becomes an antagonist. Eventually, as Annabelle establishes a thriving business Cailean’s siblings all become involved and as the pair grow closer prejudices against Fidelia, who Anna tries to win over must be dealt with. Good character and plot development.
I always enjoy books that have sequels because I become acquainted with the characters and always want more when I finish a books. This book was enjoyable and I did purchase the sequels and enjoyed them as well.
Loved the series, read book 1-4. Thinking there will be another release soon? Good view of life in the west and in Montana at this time in history.
Good book
This is a wonderful story that I enjoyed reading . It contains many lessons for living a happy life. I think the biggest one is that one cannot live in mourning of the past without cheating themself of the future. That you don’t have to forget lost loved ones, but you must go on. Life is for the living. I’m looking forward to reading the next story in the series called Montana Grit Book 2.
One of my new “Favorites”
