I was happy to see that Gavin got his story and I loved it. There was plenty of suspense and action. A mail order bride who turns out to be a princess is the stuff fairytales are made of. Aurelia needs a husband and baby like yesterday. Answering the ad may be her last hope. Finding a Prince Charming in the form of a disable former SEAL was as unexpected as falling in love in three days. Fairytales do come true.
Montana SEAL’s Mail-Order Bride is the twelfth book in the Brotherhood Protectors series by Elle James.
Gavin Blackstock thought he would be a career SEAL, but that didn’t happen when his last mission left him missing part of one leg. Now at the age 35 and living on the Brighter Days Rehabilitation Ranch in Montana he is feeling like he is missing out on falling in love and someday having a family. When one of the other residents puts his application online looking for a mail-order bride, Gavin is really surprised when women actually respond to it.
Olivia Aurelia St. George has to find a husband and produce an heir by her 30th birthday, but both of her fiances have died before they had been able to marry. Olivia, her best friend and her bodyguard all believe that her life is in danger also and think she should go away until things settle down. The only problem is she also must find a husband so when her friend finds the add for a mail-order bride online they all believe it is the perfect plan.
Gavin and Olivia realize they are attracted to each other right away, but if they are to marry they want to like each other also so spending time getting to know one another is important. Olivia however feels that their marriage should at least be based on trust, if not love and starts to feel guilty about not telling Gavin the truth. When she finally does it might be too late because the danger has found her in Montana.
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Enjoyable. I liked the characters and the fact the author brought to light the feelings of our returned disabled soldier.
ARC for honest review with no compensation
Montana Seal’s Mail Order Bride is book 12 in the Brotherhood Protectors series by Elle James and another great addition to the series.
Gavin Blackstock, a former Navy Seal who lost his leg defending his country feels he also lost his chance at a normal life with a wife and kids because who would want a man with only one leg…so he decides to sign up for a mail order bride. Little does he know that when his mail order bride, Aurelia shows up there’s more to her than meets the eye!,
Suspense, sparks fly, lots of action, a princess and finding their HEA!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy.
This was a wonderful story. I adore the Brotherhood Protector stories. This is a great addition to the series. This is a quick read that was done in one sitting. This was full of suspense that kept me turning the pages and glued to my e-reader. The scenes played out like a movie. The two main protagonists were ones that were easy to cheer for. They were so perfect for each other.
This was written in my favorite dual POVs format. Reading their thoughts helped to clarify what each of them were going through. I just hated to see the story coming to an end. I highly recommend this to anyone!
Where do you go when you want a wife and kids, but haven’t had any luck finding one?
Gavin believes he will never have his dream until his friend Lori posts an ad for him on a mail order bride site. Enter his dream woman. Oh wait, maybe not quite the dream he expected. She’s lost two fiances previously and needs to disappear, get married and have a baby all in ten months. Looks like he’s her dream come true. Until …
This book contains adventure, mayhem, marriage, love and horses whispering. It is a good blend of everything. Definitely a quick read with intrigue and a HEA.
I curled up on the couch and read this in one sitting. A modern version of mail order brides, online… they can come from anywhere in the world. A princess and a cowboy/SEAL, are they a perfect match? He’s lost a leg and his confidence and she has her own reasons for getting married. Someone wants to stop this union going ahead. There was humour, action and sweet loving, all in all an entertaining read.
Arc review For honest review gavin Blackstone is at brighter days rehabilitation ranch for lossing a leg in serves and his military career, while dealing with civilian life . Princess Olivia aurelia st George to lastovia after the lose of her family and 2 fiancee now she needs a husband and have children before 10 months or she loses the crown both joined a mail order bride. Awesome story
Elle James just continues to impress! Montana SEAL’s Mail-Order Bride is another fantastic story with a cast of characters that is stellar. Ms. James once again delivers a well-written book that’s fun to read but at the same time reminds us we have heroes to be thankful for. Gavin is a former SEAL working at Brighter Days Rehabilitation Ranch. He’s “one leg short of a pair” and believes no woman would want to marry him because of his missing leg. Olivia is a princess of a small country. After two engagements end in death before the wedding she knows someone is trying to stop her from inheriting the title. Olivia and Gavin’s story is loaded with drama, humor, sexy bits, action and suspense. This book held me captive from start to finish and I can’t wait for my next book by Elle James. Montana SEAL’s Mail-Order Bride is book 12 of the Brotherhood Protectors Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Prolific Works. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I received an ARC copy of this book and I chose to review it. I loved this story. For me it was a quick easy read. This shows that horses and men have more in common than we think. Both can have insecurities. Both can over come their insecurities with a little help. I encourage everyone to get this book it is worth your time. Go get this one your going to love it!!!!
Gavin Blackstock sees no way a woman would want to settle down and start a family with him now. Even when his friend signs him up for a mail-order-bride, he’s doubtful it’ll succeed. Princess Olivia (Aurelia) needs a husband and a baby if she hopes to keep her family’s legacy, but someone’s taking drastic steps to ensure that doesn’t happen. Being a mail-order-bride may be her only answer and her last chance.
This is an engaging tale with charming characters and an intriguing storyline. It’s apparent from the first that Gavin and Aurelia are meant for each other. Their attraction is immediate, and their chemistry is strong. Although it may be obvious they’re meant for each other, Aurelia has secrets that could mean their end in more ways than one. She didn’t leave the danger behind, and as the threats increase it could really be their end. I recommend this fast-paced, entertaining and appealing addition to this wonderful series!
This is a fast paced read that keeps your attention. Enjoyed all the characters in the book . Gavin and Aurelia are an unexpected couple that meet through an online mail order bride service. They get to know each other even though it is a short amount of time and can feel the connection through the writing.
I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
This is book 12 in the Brotherhood Protectors series and it features Gavin and Aurelia. This was not a match made in heaven but more like a match made on the Internet on a mail-order bride website. This action packed, sweet romance has a little steam and a lot of fantastic characters. Mail-order brides are from way back in the western horse and buggy days but this fabulous author has made it into a modern day romance.
When I hear the term “mail-order-bride” I immediately think of the historical Wild West and women making a long journey across the USA to meet and marry the man who placed the mail-order bride advertisement. This modern version of mail-order-bride captures the same spirit and determination of those in the Wild West of old and adds mystery and suspense to this particular tale which makes Montana SEAL’s Mail-Order-Bride by Elle James a delightful read. Gavin Blackstock is a former Navy SEAL who lost part of his leg to an IED explosion who believes no woman would want to marry him and start a family. His friend Lori Mize, who also lost a leg in the military, doesn’t believe that and signs Gavin up on a mail-order-bride site. This brings Princess Olivia Aurelia St. George to Montana to marry Gavin in order to serve her country as Queen after the death of her parents and brother. In Lastovia the requirement for her to rule is to marry and have a heir by the age of thirty and that birthday is quickly approaching. Two fiances have died suspicious “accidental” deaths and Aurelia decides to take desparate measures in the hope of fulfilling the country’s requirement without further mishap.
Elle James Brotherhood Protector series stories always have a unique storyline and I really enjoyed this mail-order-bride one. The main characters are well-developed and fun to get to know. Getting to read more about familiar characters from past books in the series is a bonus and I look forward to more stories in this series.
