He loves to take risks, except when it comes to love.Volunteer firefighter Dylan McCafferty enjoys anything that gets his adrenaline pumping. Hayden Temple knows she’ll never outrun her past. Longing for a home and a new life, she believes she’s finally found peace in the small town of Glacier Creek—and the sexy, thrill-seeking Dylan is a man who can keep even her ghosts at bay. But after her nephews inadvertently start a wildfire that threatens the town, she’s determined to protect them, no matter the cost.
When Hayden’s past finally catches up with her, can Dylan convince her to trust him or will their chance of a future go up in flames?

Wonderful setting near Glacier National forest. Starts out funny and gets better. Dylan (part time forest fire ranger) meets Hayden, school teacher on vacation when she almost rams her vehicle and trailer into his car. After settling into the campground, Hayden goes on a hike only to find Dylan on the trail. From a forest fire to an unbelievable connection between these two, what a ride! Family dynamics with her sister come into play and all turns out well!
To heavy sex
Great story! It started a little slowly, but soon enough I was hooked and couldn’t put this book down.
Thoroughly enjoyable!
Enjoyed
this is a good story, it is a steamy romance , she is taking care of her sisters children for the summer, he is a firefighter and meets them when she gets stuck in traffic and then again on the trail of a mountain.
Couldn’t put it down. Enjoyed the strong characters in real life situations. Guilt from previous choices is always hard to push through.
Immature writing
Great read
I really enjoyed this book. I got angry, cheered for the right, liked the premise and felt for the characters.
Great book, awesome characters and wonderful plot!
It was a nice summer mind candy read
The story would have been fine on its own. I skipped over the steamy parts, they weren’t necessary.
It was ok, but in an effort to shorten/condense this story it did not develop fully. And contrary to the title the fire component was a fast burn and the guy was no longer a firefighter. It was also pretty predictable, but if you have nothing else to read on hand, this will fill a few hours without much thought on your part.
This is one of those books that keep me reading it even though it was slow going for a pretty good while. Let me set the scene. Girl pulls into town in a large moving trailer with 2 boys. Handsome guy sees her trying to park the Webago that is close to hitting his Jeep and high tails it out to lend a hand. Really just being neighborly and keeping his jeep from being hit. He discovers the girl in not the boys mom but their Aunt. But you know boys will be boys and these 2 are into everything. Hayden and the boys go for a walk in the wilderness and meet Dylan. It’s a good thing too as later there is a fire and Dylan is a volunteer firefighter. Now a this point for me the book goes wonky. We learn some info on Hayden and her past history that could have changed how the book flowed better in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, this book is a good book and one I definitely recommend that you read and judge for yourself.
