I am very much a cover person and I must say this cover is just sums up this book very much. I being able to catch up with the Wyatt Brothers and seeing how Joe and Sophie are doing so fun. I love small town books and this is very much that. I really liked how Ivy was a stubborn, independent, women but also showed a very vulnerable side of herself. In many relationships you loose yourself and for Ivy that was reality. Sam oh man he was a pistol it was fun to see him kind of love from a distance but all kind of make Ivy mad. This book was such a fun read and I liked how the author kept it a clean read. SO worth the read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This was another wonderful book of Jane Porter’s that I was fortunate to be able to read. This was such a great story. I loved returning to the Wyatt family ranch outside Marietta Montana. I was happy to read Sam and Ivy’s story and enjoy the Christmas festivities they shared. I was glad to also catch up with Sophie and Joe that we met in the first book.
All of the Wyatt brothers returned home for the holidays. Sam’s brother told him that his ex-girlfriend was working at the dive bar in Marietta, Wolfs Den as a bartender. Sam drives into town to see Ivy as it had been a long time. He is concerned as this is not the type of place he envisioned seeing her at. Ivy is on the retreat from a very bad relationship that she ended by running away and hiding out. She has taken this job and has been renting a room in a not so desirable part of town. Sam is home for the holidays after winning big in the national rodeo championships in Las Vegas. Both regret how their relationship ended as both thought they would end up married. They both still have strong feelings for the other. Ivy is embarrassed for the choices she has made. Sam wants to help Ivy and initially offers to be her friend. The reader can see how both feel and we are pulling for them to talk and reconcile their differences. As they spend time together we are hopeful for their happiness.
This was a well written second Chance romance that takes place in Marietta, Montana and references the places and people we’ve grown to love. I highly recommend this book and give it 5 stars. There’s plenty of romance, angst and small town fun.
I never pass up an opportunity to read a book by Jane Porter. Her stories are replete with emotion, captivating characters, and an engaging plot. Montana Cowboy Christmas is the second book from the Wyatt Brothers of Montana series, and it can enjoyed as a standalone. I must mention that book one is equally as good.
Ivy Wyckoff, a former barrel racing champion, believes she is alone in the world. After narrowly escaping from an abusive relationship with the clothes on her back, she returns to Montana to start a new life. Luckily her ex-boyfriend, cowboy and PRCA champion Sam Wyatt, has never stopped loving her. In fact, without her knowledge, Sam looked after Ivy’s beloved mother until she took her last breath.
After two years apart, Ivy and Sam are able to come together and sort out the mistakes of their past. Ivy brings a ton of baggage into the relationship, and Sam is able to lend a helping hand with his goodness, honesty, and boisterous family. Ivy is the one that got away, and Sam will do whatever is necessary to ensure her happiness and safety.
I really enjoyed this emotional holiday story and Ms. Porter does a wonderful job of describing all the goodness that surrounds the Christmas happenings. I felt like I was celebrating with the Wyatt clan. Ivy and Sam are down to earth and it was easy to identify with their emotional struggles. Overall, a solid romantic read.
Complimentary copy provided.
Words fail to describe how much I truly loved reading Sam and Ivy’s second chance love story in Montana Cowboy Christmas by Jane Porter, book two in her Wyatt Brothers series. Nationally ranked barrel racer Ivy Wyckoff escaped her controlling boyfriend and returned home to Montana; hoping to find her inner strength and once again become the independent cowgirl she was when she was dating Sam. Sam Wyatt returned home for the holidays after his most successful year on the PRCA circuit. He is looking forward to a quiet holiday on his family’s Paradise Valley ranch, spending time with his brothers, mom and grandfather. When he discovers Ivy is in Marietta, he knows something is wrong. Ivy and Sam had a strong, loving relationship until Ivy decided she had had enough of Sam’s lack of communication. Although she wants to solve her own problems, Ivy thought long and hard before accepting help from Sam and his shoulder to cry on. Two years apart has not stopped either Sam or Ivy to regret walking away from each other; time not diminishing their love nor allowing them to forget that love. Sam decides to do anything he can to keep Ivy safe, even if it means marrying her. The attraction, magnetism, and sizzling chemistry between Sam and Ivy show how much these two belong together.
Ms. Porter, an amazing story teller in her own right, wrote a wonderfully sweet, emotional and moving story that is definitely not to be missed. This story is filled with sizzling attraction, fun dialogue, and strong characters, giving Sam and Ivy the opportunity to show their growth, compatibility, and ability to compromise in order to reignite their love into a future together. I highly recommend Montana Cowboy Christmas to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I am a fan of Jane Porter’s book but Montana Cowboy Christmas has made me a serious die-hard fan now. Reading the author’s note and then the verse from Romans before I ever began to read the actual story made me believe that this book would be a huge favorite of mine. The story turned out to be exactly that. While it is the second book in the Wyatt Brothers of Montana for me it is number one.
Second chance romances are one of my favorites which fit Sam Wyatt and Ivy Wyckoff situation to a T. Having had major problems in the communication department in the past, it was time for them to learn to talk and develop a friendship, even to learn to compromise too. These are needed elements of lasting relationships. Ivy in a seriously bad situation when the past comes calling seems to be the catalyst that is needed to jump start their new relationship. Excellent story with the perfect ending.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the second book in the Wyatt brothers romance and I have to say I preferred the first one This one left quite a few thread unresolved maybe they will be answered in the next book
Sam Wyatt and Ivy Wyckoff had a relationship a few years ago while on the rodeo circuit together with his brothers but it just didn’t work out Now Ivy is in all sorts of trouble her money has gone missing she has a abusive ex hanging round and her mother has recently died and the only job she can get is in a very rough pub When Sam finds her in the bar he knows he ahs to help her after all she once meant something to him Soon he and his brothers have moved her to the family ranch and things are starting to improve for her. Spending time together the spark between them reignites will they manage a HEA this time
Two years ago Sam and Ivy were together and running the rodeo circuit. Until the day Ivy up and left; Sam letting her go. Now Ivy is back and working at the Wolf Den. When Sam gets word of that from his brother, he heads to the bar. As the details emerge of the reason why Ivy is back, Sam moves her out to the Wyatt ranch. The two begin to discuss the past and an old flame begins to rekindle. Can Ivy and Sam fall in love again or was it never really lost at all? Jane is outstanding at creating characters and a town I can escape into. This is a beautiful second chance story. I highly recommend this book, and series, if you like to immerse yourself into your reads.
1st off love this book cover.I honestly wanted more of Ivy and Sam’s story. What I loved : Christmas storyline, Montana ,A Jane Porter book.
Jane Porter takes us back to Marietta with her second Wyatt Brothers of Montana book, Montana Cowboy Christmas. The holiday season is the perfect time to visit Marietta and Paradise Valley for this second chance romance. I couldn’t wait to get more of the Wyatt Brothers, I was looking forward to Sam’s time. I loved Sam and Ivy. If I’m looking for a romance series that will have me coming back for more and impatiently waiting for the next installment, I know I can’t go wrong with Jane Porter. In her series, JP gives readers a family and community that will have you wanting to make repeat visits.
Merry Christmas…almost… If you love Christmas love stories then this one is perfect…It has a handsome cowboy, Sam Wyatt and a kind hearted cowgirl, Ivy Wyckoff…and so much emotion.
I loved this story. It was a great read. I had smiles and tears. Very emotional at times. I totally understood Ivy’s reasons for some of her decisions. How putting the other person first sometimes is a heartbreak for yourself, like Sam’s. This story was wonderful from beginning to end.
I am in love with Sam and Ivy, a second chance romance with plenty of charm and family that I could not put down. Ivy has returned to Marietta to nurse her wounds and start over, where is she working at a dive bar when she runs into ex boyfriend, Sam. They both can’t deny the love that they share but they have trouble with communication. Sam is very protective of Ivy. Ivy, is a very strong independent woman but carries everything on her shoulders. During this Christmas season with the Wyatt family she needs to learn to trust again.
This was the perfect Christmas romance with plenty of love, forgiveness and family. Loved Ivy, even though she was wounded, she was such a strong person. The secrets that Sam kept, just warmed my heart. Have your kleenex ready! I highly recommend this book!!
Driven into hiding by a controlling boyfriend, a young woman finds herself struggling to put her life back together. A second chance at love and the opportunity to finally rid herself of the ex comes in the form of a former flame who still carries a torch for her.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What I love best about Ivy and Sam’s second chance love story besides the prolonged HEA is the Christmas gift’s Ivy gets they will leave a mark on your heart forever.
This book has wonderful characters, the kind you enjoy meeting and getting to know and if you read the first book you get to revisit favorites from it, not to mention your back in Marietta and get to venture up into the Montana mountainside.
Don’t miss this epilogue and this ending of book two of The Wyatt Brothers series which ( Lucky Lucky me ) I was given an advance reader’s copy of in exchange for my review.
“SouI mates with a little trouble communicating”
Montana Cowboy Christmas is a story of family, hope, and love. It’s a second chance romance with past issues to overcome if they could only communicate. Ivy and Sam are two independent and stubborn people. I liked how both characters had growth and learned what each other needed in the relationship. Ivy is a strong cowgirl who has lost herself a bit but is making her way back. Sam is the ultimate cowboy and is figuring out how best to help her. Nice Christmas read with wonderful descriptive writing. Jane Porter knows how to write a cowboy romance and I enjoyed this read. Somehow I missed book 1 and will go back and grab it.
This series is about the Wyatt brothers in Montana, all successful rodeo cowboys. This time the story belongs to Sam.
Sam just won first prize in Las Vegas on the PRCA circuit. But for the last 2 years, he has mourned the loss of his girlfriend, barrel racer Ivy, left him.
When he finds out she’s a bartender at the Wolf Den’s , a rather seedy bar in town, he goes to see how she’s doing. Surprised not only that she’s working there, but that she’s no longer competing and appears to be short on money.
As a friendship starts to once again develop, each reveals their feelings and why Ivy is living under the radar.
This is not only a story about second chances in love. It’s also a story about the effects of bullying, losing one’s confidence , personal growth and knowing that love should be unconditional.
Though book one still remains a favorite, this one was a good addition to the series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
This is book #2 of the Wyatt Brothers series.
It is the story of Ivy Wyckoff and Sam Wyatt.
It is almost Christmas. Ivy has returned home to Montana hoping for a miracle. She is a nationally ranked barrel racer but she has run into some major problems. She is used to solving her own problems by herself. When her ex, Wyatt, shows up, she is wonders if she should grab the safety that he offers.
Sam has come home to rest after just wrapping up his most successful year on the rodeo circuit. All he wants is a quiet holiday on the family ranch, but then he sees Ivy. He can tell she is in trouble and he offers more than a shoulder for her to cry on. Even after they broke up two years ago, he wants to keep her safe. He will do anything to make that happen, even putting a ring on her finger and making her his wife.
I loved this story. I love how Ivy is strong but also realizes that what she had with Sam is more than she ever wanted to give up. I love how Sam comes to understand Ivy, and how he wants to make sure she knows how much she really means to him.
Second chance Christmas romance
Ivy is living a quiet life, under the radar, in the place which now feels like home. Bartending at a rough bar, the former rodeo cowgirl is struggling to save enough money for her dream job with horses. Used to being alone, seeing her former boyfriend brings up feelings of their once-romance.
Sam Wyatt, champion cowboy, discovers Ivy’s in the same town and offers to help. When she reluctantly allows him to assist a little, he tries to unravel the why of her being in town while knowing he has a secret to share with her–he’s slowly opening his heart to her again.
As they navigate the upcoming Christmas season, Ivy must learn to trust and lean on Wyatt and his family in order to free herself from the weight on her shoulders, while Sam must give Ivy a reason for her to trust him, even if revealing secrets could cost him her in his future.
The love they had for each other is still there, and the magic of the Christmas season might just be enough for the stars to align the rekindled relationship as they overcome seemingly overwhelming obstacles.
Beautiful Christmas romance with hope, love, and family.
