Good love story
This is a delightful series with great characters, villains we can love to hate and real life difficult situations with good endings. They are all uplifting reads and the continuity of characters draws you on from one story to the next
I enjoyed reading this story. And it made me want to read more about the family-so I have also read the next two books in the series. As in many of these books I knew some of the end results before the end of the story but there was still some surprise towards the end.
Loved the book. I couldn’t put it down!
I really loved the people I was meant to love in this book … and really hated her family. The author does a great job with character development and the concept of small town Montana protecting their own. I look forward to reading more about the Calhouns.
OMG I fell in love Chase and his family in the first chapter of this book, it is the fabulous start to a new series, I have always loved MS Kees writing and this one is up there with all of them a keeper to be sure, clear the decks because when you pick this one up you are not going to want to put it down as you get to journey with Chase and Charlie to an emotional and gorgeous HEA.
Charlie Jackson has just arrived in Bigfork Montana with her three month old daughter Zoe, and yes she is running from her family but with dam good reasons, it is cold and things have not worked out the way she thought they would for the rebellious Charlie who is determined to prove that she can change and look after her daughter. When she meets the handsome stranger Chace Calhoun and she is offered a job with the Calhoun family doing the art work she has always dreamed of, things might be looking up but can she keep her feelings about Chase locked away?
Chase Calhoun and his family are close after losing their mother when he was ten years old, he tends to mother his brothers and sisters and now that his father is not well, there is a lot to think about but with the kind caring heart he has he helps out the young mother who has arrived in town, not realizing who she is and how she and her daughter are going to change his life and his families.
This story has so much to love, racing cars, beautiful artwork, families that love and struggle and a romance that will melt your heart with the joy it brings, Charlie and Chase are the most beautiful couple and what they have to go through will have you turning the pages, Charlie is so strong and amazing what she has been through and how she stands up to her father wow I was cheering her on and the love and caring that she gives to the Calhoun’s is fabulous and the way the family supports her and of course Chase man what a hero I loved him, what can I say, thank you MS Kees for another keeper and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Do yourself a favour don’t miss this story.
I love discovering a new author and reading their first book for me is like meeting a new friend. I wasn’t sure what to expect but as soon as I saw Montana mentioned I knew it was going to be a good read. I was not disappointed at all. This book is well written and kept my attention from start to finish. Chase Calhoun meets Charlie and Zoe and it changes both of their lives as well as the Calhoun family too. I am looking forward to meeting more of the Calhoun family as this series is written. I as shocked and amazed that the author Juanita Kees was not from the states. She wrote as if she were. Bravo. I not only look forward to more in this series but also look to find other books but this talented author.
This is Book 1 in the Calhoun Customs Garage series. What a good book. Charlie comes to town with her baby, Zoe. She meets Chase and starts working at the garage. The Calhoun family have a lot of bad history which you learn about in this book. But they still come together as a loving family. They take Charlie and Zoe as their own and help her through the trouble she’s hiding from. The love of this family will pull at your heart and make you want to be a part of them. It’s a sweet loving relationship that makes it all worthwhile and it’s a really good book. I can’t wait to read more about the Calhoun family.
I enjoyed the story Overdrive. It was a clean love story about a young girl running from her high profile racing family. She is trying to turn her life around, with a fresh start and a new baby, when she finds shelter with a rival racing family. This story has secrets, tragedy, broken characters and characters on the mend. I do wish that the peak of the story would’ve come more in the middle of the book and not in the last 10%. It seemed rushed, and for a while I was concerned that it was going to end and leave me hanging, but it didn’t.
Overall, Good read! Great story!
Each has something to prove to the world and each other. Whether running from the past or rebuilding a brighter future, Overdrive steers full throttle through life, love and redemption to find a home within your heart. Keeps reminds us through the eyes of Chase and Charlotte of a super important lesson. We are not the sum of our mistakes, but the wisdom we gain from them.
I’ve been trying to read new authors lately, at least new to me. Juanita Kees is one of those authors. I’m not going to recap the book blurb, but I will say that Montana Baby is a good introduction to the Calhoun family and the underworld of NASCAR racing. It’s a light read. It’s also easily read in an afternoon. It’s a heartwarming story with characters you’ll easily fall in love with.
Montana Baby (Calhouns of Montana #1) by Juanita Kees – This was a freebie series starter. Charlie is running away from her dynasty building family to protect her infant daughter from being sold to the highest bidder to finance her brother’s NASCAR career. Fate brings her to another racing family in Montana who appreciate her design and support her decision to keep her daughter. It was a trail mix book: the perfect combo sweet, spicy, and salty (or sad, romantic, and funny if you aren’t in the funhouse that is my brain)! Happy Reading!
I loved the story and it’s many twists at the end.
I love this book and now watching the series.
Nice small town hospitality in this story. Charlie and baby Zoe are trying to make a new life for themselves. Fate helps direct them to the Calhouns in Montana. Their love and support will help her through her family trials.
I enjoyed this book very much. Great story about a girl taking back her life and trying to make something of it.
This is the first in a series about the Calhoun family. As with many romances you need to believe in ‘love at first sight’. What was more difficult to believe was the character and motivation of the heroine’s family. I’ll skip the details as I don’t want to be a spoiler. It was a pleasant read and I will probably go for the second but not sure I’ll make it through the series.
Young mother trying to keep baby safe becomes a pawn between racing family. All is well that ends well and happily.
I liked this book. It showed you don’t have to be a biological parent to love a child right from the start. God has a plan for each of our lives.
Sweet story of loyalty and romance.
