She’s a brainy college sophomore. He’s a basketball captain with charm and popularity. Does her vow to steer clear of jerks need a time out? Bookworm Addison James pledged to crush it in her second year in college, so avoiding guys who’ll break her heart is at the top of her list. When a smoking hot jerk makes her Monday night shift part of his weekly routine, she wonders if her resolution will … wonders if her resolution will last until midterms.
Parker Kent knows he’s at the summit of the popularity food chain, and he plays it to the max. He loves the envious looks his athletic, tattoo-covered body awards him, but it’s Addison’s witty banter that truly draws him in. Unfortunately, not even he can persuade the gorgeous geek to drop her defenses. Doesn’t mean he’ll give up, though. He has persistence by the bucket loads and skills both on and off the court.
Can Parker show Addison that not all college relationships end up out of bounds?

“Monday Night Guy was amazing guys. It was witty, charming and a whole lot of cheeky and naughty, but also had touches of heartache, heartbreak and emotionally charged moments. It had all the right elements, depth and detail to keep me glued to every page. I couldn’t get enough of Parker and Addison’s story.” ~Amazon Reviewer
“Football and basketball players, cheerleaders, and witty comebacks – this book has in spades!” ~Amazon Reviewermore
I have been waiting for this book ever since i saw Liz Lovelock talk about this next book from her and it didn’t disappoint at all.
I may be biased being my favorite genre of NA and when it comes to the popular guys and the not so popular girls i love it.
This story did not disappoint me at all, i loved how Parker was just in the back ground ready to pounce once he knew that Addison was ready for him but i loved how much work he had to work to get her.
Addison was the quiet girl with a popular boyfriend, but when secrets and lies come out she has a lot of learning to do about herself and see the one that has been there the whole time.
If you like college romances with some drama and a good story line then you should like this one.
It’s obvious Parker is a boob man, “he nudges his head against my boob. “Little mouse, you were teasing me, so I think this is the most restraint I can muster . In a perfect world, my hand would be cupping these cushions.” Darn Addison knows how to choose some good friends, “don’t go screwing it up, because if you do hurt her, I’ll castrate you.” His hand drops. He grips his crotch, a worried expression on his face.” I liked this book, I really loved Parker.
Monday Night Guy is a good read. For me this was a quick read. I was hooked and able to read it in one sitting. Addison is in a bad relationship with Hayden. At first I felt bad for her and thought she was going to be a weak character but when she found her voice and started to show her true self I really liked her. Parker is a great guy. He and Addison have a connection but Addison is just out of a bad relationship and doesn’t want to get into another one. Parker is a basketball player and comes off as a player and a jerk but he’s really not. I liked the pace of this story, it was perfect. This one was my first read by Liz Lovelock and it won’t be my last. I will definitely be one clicking My Aussie Guy when it comes out.
I will admit that I’m a huge fan of Liz Lovelock. Everything that I’ve read by Liz has been nothing short of phenomenal so when Monday Night Guy landed in my kindle I couldn’t wait to dive in.
Guys let me just say I devoured this novel within hours. I literally couldn’t put it down. It was simply perfect.
In short and without giving anything away we meet college students Addison and Parker.
Parker is the all round popular guy. Plays basketball and the girls just adore him (and let’s be honest so do I).
Addison on the other hand is yes popular in her own right, she has friends, a boyfriend, but she’s one to stand back.
So how is it these two, Parker and Addison create a friendship?
How is it that two complete opposites find themselves in a situation neither of them want to be in?
How is it that Parker and Addison find comfort in one another when all they have ever done is turn a blind eye to each other for over a year?
How is it that Parker and Addison’s worlds collide?
I really don’t want to say anymore as I definitely don’t want to give anything away.
But I will leave you with this…
Monday Night Guy was amazing guys. It was witty, charming and a whole lot of cheeky and naughty, but also had touches of heartache, heartbreak and emotionally charged moments. It had all the right elements, depth and detail to keep me glued to every page. I couldn’t get enough of Parker and Addison’s story.
And a side note….Please keep your eye out for Devon. He is all kinds of beautiful and completely captured my heart.
Ohh and Elsie…Girl what an absolute firecracker.
