The antics of 2 ten year old girls who are trying to get their single parents together is the basis for this book. Cameron has been hurt by her Xhusband who up and left with really no care for his daughter, so she is reluctant to seek out a new relationship. Alex is in the military with the possibility of being shipped out again.
A cleverly written story of what happens with the 4 plus grandma.
I really enjoyed this funny, lighthearted story. The antics between the two ten year old best friends were hilarious and throw in the amusing or not so amusing behavior from the large dog, Boomer and I found myself laughing. What a predicament for Cameron Baldwin and Alex Sanchez. These two, single parents cannot avoid their matchmaking daughters who also have help from Cameron’s own mother. Throw in the fact that Alex is a man in a military uniform and Cameron’s insecurities from her first marriage and you have a story you cannot resist. This is such a fun series. This author is a new author to me and I enjoyed her writing style and I want to read more of her books! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
This was a fun romance with a cute plot, likable characters, plenty of emotions and a heavy does of sweetness. With a story line that brings to mind “The Parent Trap”, single parents Cameron and Alex fall victim to the plan their two daughters have concocted to bring them together. If you are looking for a light, feel good, clean read, you’ve found it. A very entertaining and enjoyable book.
The second in this series, it’s another gentle read, but I found it a bit too predictable. Cameron’s daughter Lizzie, Alex’s daughter Mariana, and Cameron’s mother join forces to matchmake Cameron and Alex. While some of the schemes (like missing the bus) were cute, Mariana’s stunt when Alex is deployed is inappropriate and effectively ignored. It was obvious pretty much from the start what was going to cause the requisite rift between Cameron and Alex, and this detracted from the story. That aside, it’s a pleasant read for a quiet afternoon.
I really enjoyed this sweet romance of a single dad and single mom with two 10 year olds who want to try their luck at matchmaking. Bith girls want a family but their parents dont want their hearts broken again. Enjoy this funny, witty and sweet romance and bring a smile to your day. Grab your copy today.
4.5 Stars
This story is even better than the first story in the series. I loved the characters, how real they are and the way the author brings them to life.
Two wily, precocious ten year old girls play matchmaker for their single parents. I smiled and laughed all through the book – especially at the antics of the dog, who will eat anything – then promptly barf it up. I received an ARC of this book.
Very cute storyline. I loved the lengths that the two girls went too, to bring their parents together. I would recommend this to others
This is such a sweet book. You will fall in love with Lizzie and Mariana, the two 10 year old girls that have their hearts set on getting their parents together. The stunts they pull will have you laughing out loud. This book was a joy to read. I received an ARC copy of this book and was not required to write a review. This is my honest opinion.
This second book in the Mommy’s Little Matchmaker series is double the mischief and double the fun. Cameron, who works from home as a website designer and is a single mother of ten year old, Lizzie, and Alex, a Warrant Officer in the Army and single dad to Mariana, are caught in the middle of all the wonderful schemes the girls have concocted to get their parents together. Both Cameron and Alex are terrific, likeable characters, each working through their pasts, but their daughters really stole my heart. Toss in the crazy dog, Boomer, and you have a charming, fun and loveable rom com suitable for all readers. I really loved it and eagerly await the next book in the series and more books from the wonderful author, Allie Kincaid!

I received a free copy of the short novel Mommy Loves the Military Man: Mommy’s Little Matchmakers #2 by Allie Kincaid and this review was given freely.
An attraction at first sight novel and the second book in this sweet romance series by various authors. Allie Kincaid provides you with a light hearted tale of two ten year old girls who wish to be sisters and their unsuspecting single parents, web designer Cameron and newly Ft. Dunwoody stationed soldier and single dad Alex. Cameron has to decide if she can love and trust a man who may leave her the single mom of two.
Great Story
Cameron was a work at home mom, her daughter is 10 and in elementary school and isn’t real shy, Cameron’s mom lives with them and their crazy rescue dog. Alex is a widowed father with also 10 and very shy, he is in the Army, the moved to Virginia for a position that would keep him from deployment. The girls become fast friends but they what to be sisters, let the matchmaking begin.

Sweet story!
This is a sweet story of two best friends (and a grandmother) who conspire to get their single parents together. Who could possibly resist their finagling! These two girls want to be sisters so badly, and they will do whatever they must do make that happen. Their parents, Alex and Cameron are just along for the ride! They better hold on tight for the journey!
Thank you to Sweet Promise Press for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review.
Parent Trap
Like the original, lots of connivance and humor between a pair of ten year olds (NOT twins) as they scheme to become siblings. The story flows naturally and you may anticipate some of the mayhem but will enjoy it as it unfolds. LOTS of fun!
They are child of single parents and they believe their parents would be right for each other. Can they bring their parents together? Will they take another chance of love? See if they will become a family
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was such an adorable story. I was able to read it in one sitting. The characters were wonderful and the plot was enjoyable. The two children Mariana and Lizzy were especially adorable in how they plotted to get their parents together.
I loved the multiple POV format here. Seeing how the girls and the adults were thinking really helped me to understand why they did and said some of the things that they did.
I highly recommend this sweet, clean second chance romance to anyone.
Mommy Loves the Military Man is the second installment from the Mommy’s Little Matchmakers. It is, also, the first book I have read by Allie Kincaid and it definitely will not be the last. I loved Cameron and Alex’s story. It is quite a quick read and I had no problem at all reading it in no time. I am giving it four stars. I look forward to the next book in the series.
I received this book from the publisher, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
I received a free copy for an honest review.
This was a great story! 2 scheming 10 year Olds pull out all the stops to get their parents together. Cameron has trust issues from what her ex put her through. Alex being a military man is put in a situation to test that trust. While apart they both realize how much they love each other. In the end, they become one happy family. A sweet quick read book. I’m really enjoying this series.
