Joanne Dannon’s latest book, Mommy Loves the IT Guy is 3rd in a fun new series with mixed authors called Mommy’s Little Matchmakers. This book steps out of Joanne’s regular stories showcasing romance with couples across countries. Instead it adds the element of a beautiful little girl who makes the plot extra entertaining. It’s a story rich in emotions, varying from tear jerking moments, to moments of happiness, to end in a heartfelt Happy Ever After. With a wonderful array of characters, from the Australian new mom and her daughter, to the USA perfect family, its easy to fall in love with them all. As the story develops and the characters pursue their new life together as a possible family, it becomes hard to read through the tears as it all disintegrates, with the IT guy not ready to commit to a ready made family. But what happens next in the story is by far one of my favorite in story endings by Joanne Dannon and something I can’t divulge without spoilers!
For readers yet to read a book focusing on the plight of a child mixed with a romance, it is definitely a book to read, as to not reading means missing out on a superbly heartwarming story that will resonate far past the end of the story. This book is able to be read in one sitting, which means no waiting for the ending.
I voluntarily reviewed this book from an advanced copy.Mommy Loves the I.T. Guy
Another delightful Mommy’s Little Matchmakers. Love how the realistic worrying about doing the right thing should also listen to your heart. This one also tore at my heart as to the horror the poor child had in her earliest years but very happily was given a wonderful chance of a great life with a new mommy!
Abby and her adopted daughter Sky are back in a St Judith’s to spend some time with Ema, her best friend, and her family. Sky is been through a lot and she doesn’t trust men and wants Abby all by herself. But Abby is been in love with Noah, Ema’s brother, all her life. Can they have a chance of ether or will Sky put herself in between? Can Abby and Sky stay in the US and leave their life, job and friend from Australia? A sweet love story.
The 3rd book in the Mommy’s Little Matchmakers Series, and my first book by this author. This was a heartwarming little read, yet it shows how hard it can be in a newly adopted family. The issues that arise from having trust issues. This story really touched my heart and i would certainly recommend it to others.
Being a parent to my own biological children is hard enough. I can’t fully appreciate what it’s like to parent a child that you choose outside of your own genetics. The child in this book, through no fault of her own, has tremendous baggage on top of being adopted which increases the challenges the main character, Abby, must face in the role of her mother.
That baggage sets the scene for the turmoil the child creates between Abby and the potential love of her life, Noah.
Skylah’s deep-rooted insecurities bring Abby to the point of exhaustion.
This story expertly crafts the varied aspects of human relationships and how we’re all intertwined. It’s a complicated life we live.
I highly recommend reading this book!

I purchased a copy of the sweet novella Mommy Loves The IT Guy by Joanne Dannon and this review was given freely.
Skylah becomes insecure when her security is challenged when her court appointed guardian Abby moves them from Australia to the USA and reunites with not only her best friend Emma but also her childhood crush, Emma’s brother Noah. Unlike the previous two novellas in the series, the 10 year old girl is not the “matchmaker” but it is a second chance at love story with a happy ending and Marianna and Lizzie do get a new friend in Skylah.
How will a little girl who was so mistreated by her birth parents ever understand that she is worthy of being loved? Sky was placed with Abby after she was taken from her birth parents and then the two of them come to the U.S. for a visit. Abby had lived here when she was younger and had become friends with Emma. Noah is Emma’s brother who Abby had a crush on when she was younger. Sky doesn’t trust any man around Abby for fear that she will lose her new mom. Can Noah show her other wise? Read to find out. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I really enjoy this series. I know you will too.
This is a sweet, clean romance. It is also about a single woman who has become the permanent caregiver for a ten year old girl who has suffered abuse.
I really enjoyed this quick read that has interesting characters and a good plot.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Abby brings her adopted daughter to America from Australia to help her friend Emma start a new business. They stay at Emma’s parents house where she spends time with her old crush, Noah. Noah is entranced by Abby and her daughter Sky. He slowly befriends the sassy Sky and can’t stop himself from falling in love with Abby. But if the stubborn Sky doesn’t give Noah a break, then Sky and Abby will head back to Australia. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Really liked the story. Good clean book. Recommend the series!

Let the games begin, the drama take root and the laughter commence. Mommy Loves the IT Guy is an entertaining look at a family in transition. Abby, Skylah and Noah are finding their footing on the road map to happily ever after. From playful to painful, Dannon has crafted a heartwarming battle of hearts that encompasses the best and the worst of falling in love.
I especially enjoyed this story, as I know a lady who has taken on the job of adopting as a single parent. Her child occasionally has the same abandonment issues. I received an ARC of this book.
The third in the Mommy’s Little Matchmaker series, this one left me dissatisfied. My heart ached for what Skylah must have gone through, and Abby’s love for her is clear. My discomfort is in the rushed resolution to Skylah’s wish to keep Noah out of their lives; there is a great deal of build up to her fear of losing Abby, and then the resolution is too close to the end to have the same completeness. A definite highlight, though, is how Noah and Skylah’s relationship builds and his understanding of and acknowledgement of her fears; really gives hope for the new family.

I enjoyed this story. I really liked Abby and Noah. I liked seeing characters from the previous books.
A cute story of two people who had a crush on each other when they were younger but neither one knew. Fast forward to today and Abby and Noah are reunited again and discover their crushes for each other are still there. There are now obstacles to overcome. Abby is still Noah’s sister’s friend and she now lives in Australia. Two years ago she adopted Skylah who is now ten. Skylah’s parents lost custody of her because of neglect.
It is fun to watch the antics Sky comes up with to prevent Noah and Abby from dating. I also liked that some of the other characters, such as Principal Kidd, from the other books in the series show up in this story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Mommy Loves the IT Guy is a sweet, clean romance, but it is also about a single woman who has become the permanent caregiver for a ten year old girl who has suffered abuse and malnutrition with her parents. Skylah feared her new found life would be ripped away by the guys who want to date Abby. I really enjoyed this quick read that has interesting characters and a good plot.
This incredibly emotional read is powerful and will touch your heart. This book offers a beautiful combination love story. It is not only the wonderful love story of Abby and Noah, but of Abby’s love for her daughter, Skylah and Noah’s determination to join their family and win both their hearts. It is sweet, realistic and poignant. I truly connected with theses characters and felt for them as they all struggled with their anxieties, wants and needs. A beautiful story about love.
“Mommy Loves the I.T. Guy” by Joanne Dannon
A sweet light contemporary romance that is easy on the heart. I enjoyed watching Skylah learn to love and to trust… and I think she will grow on you, too. And then there is Abby, the mom, and Noah, the I.T. guy… I was gifted an ARC by the author and this is my honest review.
