The best part of this book was watching Karen’s maturing through her time with Ms. Blout, which helped her relationship with Val. At the beginning of the book Karen was a self centered, immature person, not someone easily likable, by the end of the story you’re rooting for her and cheering her on. What wasn’t so great about the book was that the author seems to miss or gloss over details from time to time and those might have improved the story, and the ending suddenly became rushed, here’s another shocking twist, the end. Left this reader thinking what was that?!?!
