Do you believe in lust at first touch? Neither did they.Mohegan:As if electrocuted by two-twenty volts, I stare with my mouth dropped open. I know a God-damned spell when I feel one but can’t break free. That gorgeous tea-witch swears it’s not her doing but I’m not buying it. She’s a little liar. Don’t get me wrong, she’s stunning and I’d do her in a heartbeat but that’s not the point. I don’t … point. I don’t like being compelled to do anything. Besides, I got serious Guild work to do. There couldn’t be a worst time to get shackled.
Olivia:
He obviously doesn’t like this attraction any more than I do but there’s nothing to worry about. I don’t need a boyfriend and if I did, I certainly wouldn’t choose him. All male witches, healing or warring, are arrogant, pig-headed, and best if bedded for one night. Otherwise, they try to tell you what to do, where to go, and are generally a pain in the ass. Besides, this one’s got a shadowy side, I can feel it hovering right under the surface.

The story starts out with a bang and keeps on packing! Mohegan, a gifted witch, meets his match in Olivia, an intelligent, somewhat wild herbalist with an innate talent for healing. She becomes the victim of someone’s vendetta even while Mohegan & Olivia are caught in a “lust” spell. The ensuing antics of “Mo” and “Liv” are escalated when they work together to solve a mystery. Good read.
Red Robin
I so loved listening and reading this book. Olivia and Mohegan were made for each other. Both grew up feeling the lost of a parent or parents and depending on no one but themselves. Then a magic spell draws them together only to discover that they have truly fell in love and live without each other. I have to say that although, their communication sucks, they allow their auras to speak for them. Above all their stubbornness allowed them to see the truth to create a different path for themselves.
I offered to review this audiobook because I am such an an avid reader but also almost exclusively audio due to my schedule. Because of this, I can be critical of narrators. Especially when books have a single narrator required to speak with different voices for multiple characters. Most cannot do it without having some errors where they use the wrong ‘voice’ for the wrong character. I am a true believer in the fact that a bad narrator can destroy a great book and have turned away several books with good ratings because of just that. The narrator in this book did a great job, so I was able to listen to the book without issue.
Next is the story. I am not one to give a lot of specific story details since I feel you should read the story for that, and in this case, you won’t be disappointed. This is book 4 in a great paranormal romance series, which has great characters and an interesting storyline that make you want to keep listening until the story is over. The intrigue, suspense, and romance found in books 1 – 3 continues in book 4. I am hoping there is a book 5!
I received a free review copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This final book in the series takes a detour from stories about warrior witches and instead gives the reader a peak into the lives of the healer witches. Supporting character Olivia, the healer for the Fialko brothers, meets her match with Mohegan. Mohegan may be a healer, but he’s as tough as they come. As a member of the Guild, he acts a bit like a police officer finding the bad guys and stopping them. He’s also got a unique ability that lets him sense danger and directs him to where he needs to be. This talent brought him to Olivia just in time to save her life. These two have a strong connection that’s further complicated by a love spell, and their stubbornness to remain single. And while their romance sizzles, it’s the action and mystery in this book that really draws you in. While I’m sad to see this series end, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each book and can only hope that maybe in the future the next generation will have their stories told.
