A brand new contemporary romance from New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Katy Evans. He’s my most delicious secret. The hot Suit I had a one-night stand with one evening. I didn’t know anything about him, not even his name. Only that we shared a taxi, and he was staying at the hotel where I worked. We met in room 1103. Where he commanded not only my body but my … in room 1103. Where he commanded not only my body but my soul.
The next day he was gone and I only had a memory of him.
I could still taste his kisses, feel his demanding touch.
I searched for him for months. Daydreaming about him. Wondering if I’d ever find him.
Until the day I find myself staring face to face with his jeweled black eyes again.
He says lets keep it casual, and my heart knows that falling for this workaholic in a three-thousand-dollar suit is off the table.
Because he has a secret. One that’s a deal breaker for me.
My Suit has a name.
Ian Ford.
And this is our story.
*Mogul contains characters from Tycoon, but is written to be read as a standalone.

Hoo lord! I did not think anyone would come close to beating our Callan for my favorite Evans hero but Ian is….a swoon-worthy opponent! It starts on a crazy night. Sara’s had a heavy flirt with her arrogant taxi-compatriot and it turns out he’s staying at her hotel. As concierge, Sara has to fulfill the guests’ every whim. And the man in room 1103 has one thing not on the menu…Sara. But he was unforgettable, ridiculously hot and has a voice made for sin. So she caves and gives in to temptation with her mysterious man. But Ian is more than just a man on the other end other phone and his own desires for Sara don’t go away after one night.
Ian has a secret. He’s in the middle of a bitter divorce. He hadn’t planned on seducing the sassy kitten that he shared a cab with but when they end up at the same hotel, he can’t stop wondering what a night together would be like. Now that he knows, he can’t stop wanting more and more of Sara. She’s delightful and incredibly sexy; a true balm to sooth his ego from his past. But learning out his secret threatens their delicate relationship. Sara’s been burned in the past and watching him go through what her parents are currently experiencing brings to light her doubts
My favorite thing about Ian and Sara is the ease with which these two flow from steaming temptation to laughter and comfort. You can tell that these are two gorgeous people who easily fit one another but there are some boundaries they must overcome. Evans did an amazing job with tying the story line alongside Tycoon which added a layer of complexity to this forbidden romance. These two have a lot of personal struggles to overcome in order to be truly happy. Sacrifices have to be made; but for love…well people would do a lot for someone they truly love. You want this sexy suit and daring dancer in your hands!
Since I read TYCOON (Bryn and Cristos’ story) I was intrigued by Sara’s mystery guy and finally Katy Evans gave us the chance to know about Ian Ford, Sara’s “Workaholic Suit”.
Sara Davis and Ian Ford shared just one night, an unforgettable night, ever since they met they couldn’t stop thinking about that one night but it was unlikely that they would ever meet again.
Sara is a dancer, a very good one, so she’s trying to find her first “big shot” in the show business. Her dream is to work in Broadway and she is finally pursuing her dream.
Ian is a workaholic, he is a movie producer and spends all his time working in order to not deal with some issues in his personal life.
Sara and Ian meet again and they can’t resist the sexual attraction between each other, so they give it a try, this was “casual” (that’s what they keep repeating to each other). They will enjoy the moment, but the more they are together, the more involved they get, and the more they crave each other. It won’t be easy, Ian has trust issues and Sara doesn’t want to get hurt, both will have to learn to deal with their own fears if they want to make this happen.
I loved this book very much. It’s my new favorite Katy Evan’s stand-alone. This book is different from all the previous I read and I enjoyed it very much. If you’re a Katy Evans fan, you know how amazing her writing is and that she always sends us a message, and we always get to learn something new, and this story was no exception. This story was about learning to trust, trust in love but more importantly to trust in YOURSELF. Never stop pursuing your dreams, no matter what people tell you, no matter if the world is against you, you fall, stand up and keep going.
“You shouldn’t decide for the world, Sara. The world is fickle and doesn’t even know what it wants. Isn’t it better to let others reject you than you yourself rejecting possibilities before even exploring them?”
Thank you Katy Evans for your amazing words. They always go straight to my heart and I love you for that.
I’ve read everything Katy Evans has ever written and here’s the reason,…she’s a fantastic writer! Her writing style grabs me every single time and never lets me go. She’s probably my most reread author as well!
I read Tycoon and loved it, I recommend it but it’s not necessary to read before Mogul, this is a standalone.
This one has drama, romance, super steamy chemistry and as always, is a serious page turner.
What can two strangers meeting in a cab turn into?
I loved Sara, she is strong yet sweet & innocent. A dreamer yet motivated…Ian is dreamy lol He’s definitely a charmer but he’s also got a huge heart in that gorgeous chest even though he’s being put through the ringer by his horrible ex. He’s still so caring at times that I felt like I was smiling over him and his thoughtfulness…
Beautifully romantic, I loved reading their story of falling in love! Katy Evans writes a beautiful story that readers will feel like swooning over. She’s written so many wonderful lead men and Ian is up there with some of my faves. Don’t worry Remy from REAL, no one will ever take your place lol
I highly recommend Mogul and Tycoon! Loved every word and I can’t wait for this authors next book!
Attention…We have another hot couple alert !! Ian and Sara pull you in from the moment the book begins . You find yourself thrust into their intense conversation, pulled by their sexual chemistry and wanting more of this oh so intensely hot couple.
Ian is a off the charts alpha male, powerful, confident, hardworking, swoon worthy and always gets what he wants. He is fresh off the cusp of a adulteress wife and needs a distraction and the sassy woman riding in the cab with him gives him that and so much more . Sara is having a awful day so sharing a cab with a hot sexy suit has just made it so much better. She knows she will never see him again so she plays the seduction game . It is a bit out of her comfort zone but feels so good! She was so wrong when she thought their interaction would end when she reaches the hotel she works at. It is only the beginning of their crazy seductive ride !! They both exit the cab …let the games begin.
I loved watching them learn, move forward and gravitate towards one another. Although life continued to throw them road blocks the pull they felt in the cab was that and so much more !
Loved Ian and Sara !

Mogul by Katy Evans was a quick and light read. You meet Sara in Tycoon (and Ian briefly), and their story can be read as a standalone.
After reading Tycoon, I was curious about Sara’s mystery suited man. Her one night stand that she couldn’t forget. Her fixation makes sense once you meet Ian. Their chemistry is amazing-the sex, whoa. There is a little bit of drama regarding a past relationship and how it’s relating to Sara’s family situation, but nothing huge or angsty.
If you want a low angst read and characters with OFF THE CHARTS chemistry, pick up Mogul.
***4.5 Stars!***
“He looks like business, but underneath his suit is an appeal so raw I can only wonder how it would feel to claw my nails under that white button shirt, undo his tie, grab him by the collar, get that perfect black hair mussed, and feel his damn gorgeous hands on me.”
Katy Evans has done it again! She has written yet another sexy, swoon-a-licious love story with one hot suit. Ian Ford is every girls dream. Tall, dark, and incredibly handsome; built like a greek god, but with a mouth like a dirty sailor. I loved how honest and vulnerable Ian was when he met Sara. Their chance encounter was perfectly written and brimming with angst.
Sara was sex and sin. She was strong, confident, and bold. I loved how she saw what she wanted and didn’t hold back. But then again, how could anyone resist Mr. Sex-on-a-stick?
It was really fun to have a bit of Bryn and Christos in this book too, and I can’t wait to read Becca’s story next!
As always, I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Evans’ work. Her storylines are captivating and full of heart. Her characters are real and relatable. I am always thrilled to pick up her latest release. She continues to be one of my most favorite authors. It all started with Real and I have been hooked ever since! Fans of hers will love Ian and Sara. Those that have not read any of Katy Evans’ books… what have you been waiting for?!
Review by Lys
Katy Evans has done it again with her writing magic. If there’s one thing this author can do, it’s writing with complete abandonment and not following any rules of guidelines on how a romance story unfolds. I applaud this author for being daring and writing the way a story should be told. This author can write in colors and emotion, pulling feelings from you that you never thought your could experience just reading a story. I realize this is only a romance, but it’s still so finely written.
Ian and Sara are a dynamite explosion right at your finger tips. A one night stand turns into much more than either of them could predict. The tension and passion jump off the pages and does not let up the entire story. You will not want to put this story down for anything, sleep, food, rest.
Another thing that I was ecstatic about was that there wasn’t the normal break-up between these two characters that seem to be in every romance story out there. This couple have issues, no doubt, but the two of them face the issue head on and get to resolutions couples should with trust and honesty. I loved that this story was written this way.
I absolutely love the pet names Sara uses for Ian. She calls him her yummy mother…., and dirty workaholic suit. And let’s face it, Ian is just yummy in every way! And Ian is one dirty talker too! He’s the whole package with a smile! It was nice seeing a bit of Bryn and Christos as well, a little revisit since Sara and Bryn are room mates.
This can really be read in a day also, it’s fast paces, emotion packed, hot and super yummy! Another spectacular writing accomplishment for this author. 6-star read for me.
4.5 Stars!
Mogul is a hot and sexy romance that you’ll want to spend a lazy afternoon reading, it’s the perfect book to read on the beach or by the pool. With a gorgeous cast of characters, that have interconnecting stories going on at the same time, this romance starts off with a huge bang; a titillating one night stand with an anonymous stranger, that leaves both parties wanting more, and Fate playing a hand in their destiny. The writing is fabulous, fast paced and filled with humorous dialogue, told in dual and alternating POV that let us peek into the mindset of both main characters as they try to deny the obvious. I loved it!
At twenty-eight, Sara Davies is working as a concierge at the Four Seasons Hotel in NYC, while auditioning and pursuing her dream of someday dancing on Broadway. After landing a job as a dancer on her first big gig she broke her ankle the first week, during rehearsals, and two years later she’s working just to get by.
Ian Ford loved living in NYC but after he discovered his wife was cheating on him, the film and documentary producer has been living in Los Angeles while his ongoing divorce is still not finalized. Cordelia, his soon to be ex-wife, has been dragging it out and he’s been staying in a corporate suite at the Four Seasons Hotel when he travels for business and to visit his beloved grandmother.
When both Sara and Ian share a taxi, from the airport, they discover they have the same destination; it’s as if Fate has thrown them together for a reason. When Suite 1103, or Hot Suit as she calls him, requests Sara join him, she decides to do something she’s never done before and takes him up on his offer. After sharing an extremely satisfying encounter they part after Ian makes it perfectly clear he doesn’t intend on repeating their one time rendezvous; not even sharing his name with her. He tells her he doesn’t do relationships and they leave it at that. Despite claiming to each other it was a casual one night stand, they can’t seem to forget that night and think about it often. Sara tries to find out, without luck, Hot Suit’s name; just to have a name for the face she fantasizes about.
“This guy makes me hungry. Hungry like someone who hasn’t eaten for days and is standing before a chocolate buffet, and chocolate is her favorite.”
Of course it doesn’t end there. Several months go by before they run into each other, but this time it’s Sara who decides to keep things aloof and casual. Especially after learning Ian’s a married man, his divorce is still not settled, and she hates the idea of being ‘the other woman’.
“I’m afraid nothing lasts. Nothing, not even life. I’m afraid of attachment and loss and love and even loss of love such as dancing. That things that can make me happy will one day be gone. You’re not even guaranteed. I don’t even know if you’ll want to commit once you’re free.”
“I fucked her –a-one-time thing. But it opened the gaping hole in that makes me crave human touch, human connection. A woman’s scent, a woman’s voice…This girl may be the key to open me back up.” -Ian.
Stand-alone
MOGUL by Katy Evans
Publication Date: May 31, 2018
Genre: Contemporary Romance
MOGUL was told from dual POV’s (Ian Ford & Sara Davis) and their story paralleled with Katy’s other novel TYCOON, which is based in this same book world. At first, I presumed this book was going to take off sorta where TYCOON left us, so it took me a little bit to put two and two together and realize that they’re happening at the same time. But again, MOGUL can be read as a stand-alone, but it will contain spoilers from TYCOON if you haven’t read it.
This is a one-night stand with a mixture of mystery…neither of them know each others names after their one shared night. Fast-forward a couple months and *boom* Sara’s “workaholic yummy m*therf*cker suit” has a name. Mystery solved. But he has one secret that could be a deal breaker, so Sara has to decide if she can deal with this new discovery. Of course s*xual tension and attraction are high and they’re unable to resist each other, so they decide to date “casually” (and monogamous of course), but besides Ian’s one hangup (he’s the PERFECT man besides this ONE thing), Sara has reservations of her own…personal concerns that hold her back from giving her full heart to Ian. “I’m afraid nothing lasts. Nothing, not even life. I’m afraid of attachment and loss and love and even loss of a love such as dancing. That things that can make me happy will one day be gone.” -Sara. But the more and more time spent together, they realize that they both can trust in this…their relationship to last, no matter the trials life throws at them along the way. They’ve both been tainted by their expectations on what love is supposed to be like, but in the end they help each other find out what true love looks like.
MOGUL was about learning to trust again. Trust in someone else to not break your heart. Trust in love.
“I’ve learned these past months that love can be lost at any moment, but it can also be found.
It can change and grow and shine and hurt, the way sometimes beauty hurts. But its mark is permanent.
Its power infinite.
You just need to open up and let it out, because when you open those doors, love can’t help but come in.” -Sara.
I want to start out by saying, I LOVE Katy’s stories and her writing and this story was written well, and I was hooked right from the beginning with the steamy first encounter, but then it kinda just tapered off after that. I was left feeling like something was lacking. I cannot deny that they had chemistry in the bedroom *wink* and they had real life struggles outside of the bedroom, but even those were mainly internalized struggles. I guess I was just expecting something different. More depth maybe? More connection between the characters? More angst? There was plenty of sexy time scenes that kept my kindle warm that’s for sure, but I found myself at times more intrigued with Bryn and Cristos’ story (who were secondary characters in this book, but they’re from TYCOON) and Becka’s story (whom we met in TYCOON and she will be getting her own book next) than Ian and Sara’s story. Ian and Sara just needed more than that insta-lust to love story, I think.
All in all, the writing was good and I LOVED Ian’s charm and his little nick-names for Sara (“Dancer” and “Kitten”) and I think that they’re are a lot of readers out there that will love this type of story, (one-night stand to love) it just didn’t hit the right “buttons” for me this time 🙁 I am interested in Becka’s story and plan to read that when it comes out.

Books in series are stand-alones:
Book 1: TYCOON http://bit.ly/2GdwvYy
Book 2: MOGUL
Phew! *fans self* Ian and Sara are H-O-T hot!! Right from the start, I knew I was in for a sexy good time. When we first met these characters in Tycoon (Mogul is a standalone. You do not need to read Tycoon first.), I was like okay, there is a story here and I NEED it!! Thankfully, Katy Evans did not let me down. Mogul is a so good. I wish I had more.
I loved these characters. Loved them!! Sara is smart, sassy, dreams driven. I love her relationship with her mother. As her family life falls apart, she is there to console and care for her mom.
Then there’s Ian. My goodness! I am crazy about Ian. Sara has it right. He is so YUMMY. His sexy aura radiates off the page. I always seem to fall for the hot guys in the suits. Ian Ford is no different.
I really enjoyed this book. It reads quick and flowed smoothly. The character chemistry is off the charts. If you looking for a passionate, entertaining and enthralling story, then pick up Katy Evans’ Mogul.
And I am on Yummy Mother popping hot mess!!
I literally devoured this ARC!
My popped so many times in a row that they could not catch up with the Sexy Ian & the Beautiful Sara! Their story was one full of lust, sex, love, and had some twists I wasn’t expecting to happen. And yes it is set in my hometown of NYC, so of course I felt like I was there with them watching their story unfold.
Wow! I am still inputting everything I just read.
Author Katy Evans topped it again with another Excellent Read!
You must have the essentials while reading this book:
Fully charged E-reader
Any Ice Cold Drink (You will be parched from saying OMG & That is soo Hot after every other page)
a Fan hitting directly on you because of above. Seriously the words described for what Ian & Sara do to each other…Scorching! !
&
You will claim Ian is your Book Boyfriend that you are ready to have your “Close Up” with!
5 popped!
I think this may be Katy’s most sexually charged book yet.
There is no denying the inferno of chemistry that sparks the moment Sara climbs in that taxi with Ian. That spark begins to sizzle when they step out at the same hotel. The moment she steps through the threshold of his room – flames ignite! Panties everywhere, incinerated! Holy hotness…
These two characters doubt they’ll ever be in love but for completely different reasons. Their spontaneous meetings are so explosive. They may not hold back physically – it’s the emotional walls that keep either of them from giving in to becoming vulnerable with the possibility of being hurt. Casual seems to be the consensus. However what these two engage in is anything but.
Sara is devastated by her parents abrupt divorce. She is single but her heart is breaking for her Mom after her Dad leaves. Settles on working as a concierge in a hotel after an injury put her dance career on hold.
Ian keeps himself closed off after finding his cheating witch of a wife banging someone else. He has shut himself off to any possibility of being in love or a relationship again. Buries himself in work.
Ian can’t deny his white hot attraction to Sara – Sara can’t deny herself a hot, sexy suit who wants to give it to her hard. They don’t exchange names and both think nonstop about each other until they cross paths again in a very unlikely way. Their journey is not smooth. Nothing about it easy. They both have baggage and have to overcome their demons. Along the way we get glimpses into Ian’s feelings. Signs I’d call them that he was developing feelings. Sara’s internal dialogue is nonstop about her sexy mother^*%$#. There is a lot of back and forth and that uncertainty kept me guessing whether they’d find their way and get a HEA or not.
I will say – this story unfolded rather beautifully. When they get through their uncertainty, doubt and Ian’s divorce is final…they have a pretty wonderful thing!
I usually prefer a book where the characters and their journey are front and center with a healthy side of sexual tension, thick juicy angsty build up that has me ready to burst. This book put the sexual tension in the front seat all the way – in my opinion. So if you love wicked dirty talk and white hot sexy times – Mogul is a one click no brainer.
I LOVED this book!! One of my favorite Katy Evans books. Sarah and Ian are great characters, and I loved their story. There are lots of rich guy/poor girl stories out there, and they sometimes all blend together, so when there’s one that’s a little different and so well written you can’t put it down, it’s a five-star, which this is. I would love an Ian of my own… Sigh.
I devoured this book. Katy Evans has done it again and gave us a sexy story you will love. This was a fast paced book I read in one sitting.
I loved these characters and was excited to see some other characters from Tycoon. The chemistry between Ian and Sara was intense. You could feel the tension coming off the pages. She is smart and sassy and goes after what she wants. Ian was the full packaged and some. He is smart and loves fiercely.
I highly recommend this book.
This book got off to a great start with a hot one night stand. Then the two main characters go their separate ways. Then there’s a chance meeting a few months later.
I really liked the two characters, Sara has sass, and has dreams she wants to follow. And she’s dealing with things going on. Ian is a workaholic, with an unresolved personal life.
This book had a great pace to the story, and you can see the relationship growing – it definitely had realism there. There’s plenty of steamy chemistry. I enjoyed reading this – for the most part, nothing overly dramatic. I look forward to the next book.
5 YUMMY IAN STARS!! I devoured this book, it was so perfect from beginning to end. I need a suit like Ian in my life, he is so sexy, hot, confident and delicious. Sara is Ian’s perfect match, confident, strong and beautiful, with a sexy as sin mouth. These two were fun to watch with all their banter and sexiness. This is one book you will want to 1-click.
I have been a fan of Katy for awhile and love her book, but this one, this one takes the cake! Who knew that one tiny event that shouldn’t have happened, one event could change your whole world. This book has everything you could ever want in a romance. There is drama, chemistry, wonderful friendships within the side characters, steamy, off the charts moments, and love! Katy’s writing style is totally unique and stands out miles beyond the rest! This is a story about finding love when you least expect it!
***I received an ebook copy from the author at no cost***
I love that we got to see Sara’s story continued in Mogul.
Sara and Ian have a hot one night stand, which leaves them both craving more, but unsure whether or not they should act on that. Fate has plans for them though, and when they do reconnect, it becomes harder and harder for them to turn away from the feelings that start to brew.
I was instantly addicted to Ian. He’s hot, successful, and all alpha. He’s demanding but playful at the same time. He has some scars and has done his best to erect an emotional wall around his heart. Katy gave him so much depth as a character, and I couldn’t help but find myself falling for him right alongside Sara.
This book is so very hot. There’s plenty of between-the-sheets action that takes place, scenes that practically fogged up my Kindle. There’s also romance and Katy does such a good job of showing that romance play out. One of my favorite things about her writing is the pictures she paints with her words, and she does this in Mogul. I could feel the connection between Sara and Ian, red hot, visceral, and consuming.
I loved that I got to see characters from Tycoon again! Bryn and Sara together are amazing, and I adored that they just fell together perfectly, like two peas in a pod. The strong friendship in addition to the romantic relationships made for a good balance.
Though this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone.
If you’re looking for something steamy to start June with, then you definitely need to get your hands on this book.
Five stars to this novel!
I really enjoy Katy Evans’s writing style and the way it allows me, as a reader, to feel involved in all of the drama and the romance. This book was captivating, engaging and romantic, I just could not put it down. The way this story is written, so full of depth and raw emotions, is what makes it so absorbing and believable. It is very much a character driven story, and the author takes the time to build her characters and their relationship. I really felt like I’d got to know them and their happy ending felt completely believable. I loved watching them find solace in each other.
Sara is everything I love in a strong female protagonist. She has a vulnerable and innocent quality in her, yet her strength and her hope to one day fulfill her dreams is what makes her so endearing.
Ian Ford…. This sinfully delicious hero made my heart melt into a puddle of goo! He is charming, thoughtful, caring and utterly swoon worthy. And yet he can be jaded, elusive and even brutally honest at times. Ian is bitter over his failed marriage and impending divorce. It is far from settled and his ex’ s blackmail has taken a toll on him.
Neither expected each other to mean to them what they did but they both acknowledge that their mutual feelings are anything but casual. It was absolutely beautiful to watch them fall for each other. The romance between Sara and Ian was perfectly portrayed. Their relationship grew in a realistic manner. I especially enjoyed watching Sara step into the light, with Ian’s full support.
Of course, the ending is a foregone conclusion, but it’s still magic every time. This one is definitely a book I finished with a sigh, a smile … and a huge book hangover. Although this is a standalone book, it’s part of a series and in being so we also get the chance to revisit some parts of Tycoon’s Bryn and Aaric’s story , as both stories run simultaneously.
I have loved Katy Evans since Real and honestly can’t get enough of her stories. For that reason when I saw that there was a spinoff from Tycoon, I could not jump on Mogul fast enough. I thought Sara and Ian’s connection was hot and sexy and I could not get enough!
I enjoyed this story and thought that Sara was sassy and Ian was nothing but sexy. At times I was frustrated with them as I felt they both ran hot and cold and Sara’s commitment to not getting involved with Ian was easily swayed by her physical attraction. I did love that they both were drawn to one another with a pull that could not be denied. I also loved that we received an alternate perspective of Bryn and Aaric’s relationship as I enjoyed revisiting them!
All in all this was a great follow up to Tycoon and I look forward to more from this author in the future! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula
