He thinks he’s so perfect with his model behavior . . . and he just might be. Reading and reviewing books is my hobby. Rescuing wildlife is my passion. It never occurred to me that both my hobby and passion would collide in the strangest of ways one day. I was perfectly content in my quiet little world. Working, reading, and supporting my favorite authors left little time for dating or a … favorite authors left little time for dating or a relationship. Besides, when you take the horizontal mambo off the table, you sort of limit your prospects.
Then one night, Matthew Roberts in all his cover model glory blew into my life and swept me off my feet.

Life as a single dad is not for the weak. Especially when your daughter is a spunky six-year-old with a passion for singing and a weakness for baby animals. I’ve been strictly focused on being her dad and smiling for the camera to provide for her future. Having my abs splashed on the cover of romance novels hasn’t left much time for a personal life. Much to my mother’s dismay.
When a storm dropped—literally—a wild animal into my life, I knew there was one person who could help us—Carrie Myers. I just never expected her to save not only the small squirrel but to also find her way into my heart.
Sometimes the most unlikely person can be your greatest gift.

This book is a book bloggers fantasy come true. Book blogger and cover model fall for each other. Hello…yes! I love every minute of this story. Carrie is a book blogger that is very serious about love and has her rules. Matthew is a single father who doesn’t usually have time for romance while raising his young daughter. First impressions of each other are totally wrong. They connect because of Matthew’s daughter’s love of animals and Carrie’s need to help them. Soon a friendship blossoms and feelings can’t help unfolding too. Then in true romantic comedy fashion misunderstanding happen and now they have to fix it with the truth, that includes their feelings. The characters had me cracking up. Especially Mathew’s daughter. This story also had my heart so full. So many moments I was saying “AWE!” out loud. But I will warn you that you will look like a crazy person listening cause there is no way you won’t be able to not laugh out loud. I will admit that I am bummed that Carrie’s blog isn’t real. I want to read it! These narrators do a great job bringing these characters to life. This is a must read/listen for romance fans. And really anyone who loves a well told story with moments that everyone can connect to.
If you are looking for a funny read with all the feels look no further than Model Behavior book 3 in the Charitable Endeavors Series. This book has everything you want in a romantic comedy and so much more, it has characters you will fall in love with, it has laugh out loud moments, it will have you swooning and let’s not forget Matthew Roberts is a single dad with an adorable little girl who loves to sing and loves baby animals. Let’s not forget the heroine in this story who has a most unique pet in the form of a rescued squirrel called Luke and I think from that you should be realising just how unique this book is. I loved everything about this funny, loveable entertaining read and I’m certainly going to be looking at the previous books in this series. These two authors write so well together in fact I’m not sure who wrote what and that for me is a sign of how very talented they both are. If this book isn’t on your radar it should be, it’s a must read so I’m urging you to one click and join the fun.

Carrie and Matthew have a rough and oddball start, but the more they get to know each other the more you see their FOREVER-AFTER. I love that this story was more about the emotional and mental aspects of a relationship than about the physical, because it shows how deep Carrie and Matthew feel for one another and that it’s not just about attraction and lust.

It was totally not what I was expecting. I was expecting a lot more drama and thankfully I was wrong.
Model Behavior is the 3rd book in the Charitable Endeavors series from Andrea Johnston and M. E. Carter. Each book in the series is a stand-alone, but you definitely get so much more out of the series if you read them in order. As an avid reader and book blogger, I love how this series is firmly rooted within the book community and how each book spins a tale around a specific aspect or role within it.
Though I will always have a soft spot for Switch Stance (Book #1 of the series), Model Behavior comes in as a close second to my favorite of the series. MB places emphasis on the fact that all members within the bookish community have lives outside of the community. Authors may have day jobs; models may be parents; bloggers may have other interests and hobbies. MB illustrates how within this bookish community, though we share similar interests, we all have our quirks, or those elements that make us unique…and we cannot be pigeonholed into a single label or box. In addition, we cannot make assumptions about a person based on outward appearance, rumors, or the actions of others within a specific “label.”
In many ways, I found both characters easy to relate to. Carrie, a book blogger, and Matthew, a cover model, have crossed paths a few times at various signings and book events, but a chance encounter has them forming an unlikely friendship outside the bookish world. Carrie has so many ideas about who Matthew is, and it is fun watching him smash all of her stereotypical assumptions about him. He may look good on the cover of a book, but in the real world, he is just a single dad trying to give his child the best life possible. I enjoyed the easy banter between these two and watching them each learn to open up a bit more.
This is a fairly angst-free, sweet, fade-to-black read, and it was exactly what I needed after a stressful holiday season. If you are looking for a book that will make you laugh, swoon, and keep you turning the pages – then look no further!
Model Behavior was a page turner from the get go. I was so excited to read this book. I couldn’t wait for it to come out. ME and Andrea words are beautiful. You will laugh hysterically when reading this book. Sprite was my favorite character, you know besides the main characters. She’s adorable and full of life. Carrie definitely judged Luke before knowing him and had him just like every other guy. Boy, did he prove her wrong!
These authors did an amazing job with this one. I loved everything about this book and could not put down at all. I really enjoyed the relationship between these two and absolutely adored his little girl so much.
I love the writing combination of Andrea Johnston and M E Carter in the Charitable Endeavors Series. Their writing styles are hilarious and they keep you laughing with each turn of the page (or swipe). I loved Matt and Carrie!! Their story was awesome. Calypso was adorable and Luke the narcoleptic squirrel had me rolling. I cannot wait for the next book to come out! Buy this book…..proceeds for the first month are donated to charity, so its a win all the way around. I cannot recommend this book enough!
4 Stars
Model Behaviour is the third title in the Charitable Endeavours series, but can easily be read as a standalone. I’ve read the first book in the series, so was aware of some of the characters mentioned, but didn’t feel like there were any real spoilers.
Being a blogger, I love that this series revolves around the book community. Model Behaviour features Matthew a cover model and single father and Carrie a quirky and fun blogger, and wildlife rescue worker.
The interactions and banter are incredibly fun and entertaining and this book will have you laughing out loud and leave you with a smile upon your face. I adored the scenes with Matthew and his young daughter Calypso and found the character to be endearing, but also relatable.
I look forward to future titles in the Charitable Endeavours series.
This story will have you laughing one minute and swooning the next. Love the uniqueness of this story and how Matthew and Carrie have this connection that’s easy going and what many strive for. Calypso has me in stitches and Luke is such an awesome pet that I may have asked my husband for one. This is one you definitely do not want to miss out on reading.
This book is sweet, funny and, with 4 holidays in one book, the perfect holiday read. Great single dad romance with a great little kid and I promise you’ll never see Elsa from Frozen quite the same way ever again.
What’s not to love about this book. Two of my favorite authors. It’s about the book world. I’ve really loved this series because it involves the book world. Matthew and Carrie’s journey is adorable. First off he’s a single Dad, swoon! Seeing a Dad with their kiddo is sexy. Carrie is fun. I loved her caring for animals. Perfect combo on this book of sweet, swoon and humor.
What can I say about Model Behavior, it was an amazing book but I didn’t expect any less. This was an entertaining read with a single dad, funny pets and cute little girl. A very easy and fun read! I loved it! I also love the cause!!
Model Behavior is a sweet book with a quirky female lead that has some very relatable qualities. The single father aspect of the book was adorable, and while I feel as if the book was missing a little angst and conflict, it was still an overall good read.
I feel like this is the kind of book that you can read quickly, flying through the pages knowing that you’re going to come out on the other side with your heart still in tact. It’s almost like watching a hallmark movie. Maybe it’s a tad bit predictable. Maybe the conflict doesn’t actually feel much like conflict at all. But nonetheless it’s entertaining for what it is. So while I did contemplate giving it 3 stars, 4 stars seemed more appropriate given the fact that I finished this book with a smile on my face.
As an animal lover I loved the Wildlife Rescue parts in the book. It gave our heroine a little extra quirk, and made the story a little extra fun. And our leading man is the kind of fictional character that you wish existed in real life. He was soft hearted, honest and romantic. For a man that is supposed to look extremely masculine on the outside, reading from his perspective just made him seem kind of like a teddy bear. I would love nothing more than to snuggle the man for a few hours. So while he isn’t exactly my “type” (I like my men a little more mysterious), he was still pretty adorable to read about.
So overall I enjoyed this book. It is a simple read with some pretty cute characters that I think will stick with me for a little while. So if you’re looking for a quick read with little to no drama, then I’d recommend giving this one a chance. It won’t be life changing, but it will make you wonder if men like Matthew really do exist. And if so, do they give free hugs?
I love the series for what it is. Just easy to read, feel good stories. This one seems a bit outrageous in certain parts and if I didn’t know one of the authors I probably wouldn’t have bought some of the story line but here we are. I know these things happen. And well, all that outrageousness brings a smile to my face. I don’t think it ever left my face reading this story.
All the characters in this one were a joy to read and I love how the authors reference the other characters from past stories and introduce us to a new ones so we know we have more to look forward to.
I have nothing but love and respect for these authors putting out a series to benefit different charities all the while bringing joy to their readers with their stories. I can’t wait to see what is up next.
This was another solid offering from this series! Matthew is a single father and he is a cover model for romance novels. Carrie is a book reviewer and rescues wildlife. They meet after a storm leaves a baby squirrel needing help. This book was funny, sweet and emotional. It was such a pleasure to read! An added bonus? Part of the proceeds go to charity!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
This book was the perfect escape for the craziness of the holidays!! M.E. & Andrea had me cracking up!
Carrie is my Patronus! I loved how she understood her worth and worked hard to make sure that any man she dated knew it too! She was such a caring person & it showed with her rescue animals and when she spent time with Sprite!
Matthew was adorable! I swear my ovaries exploded every scene he was with Sprite!! **swoons**
I loved the whole book! And I can’t wait to see what these two incredible women write next!!
Who doesn’t love a super hot, ab flexed, half naked man on a cover of a book? Everyone for the most part. But to know he isn’t the arrogant guy that sleeps with everyone and is indeed a single father with an adorable daughter and loves his mom is the best part. It was hard to put this book down, I wanted to keep reading. I adore Carrie and her wildlife rescue heart. ME Carter and Andrea Johnston always make you laugh and want more. I love the way they write together and never want them to stop.
What can I say about Model Behaviour, it was an amazing book but what more can you expect from these two lovely authors, hasn’t been a book that I didn’t love from Andrea Johnston and M.E Carter. This was an entertaining read with an awesome single dad funny pets and cute little girl. If you love to read this book will be right down your alley what more can you ask for when it comes to a cover model, and a book reviewer.
What a beautiful entertaining story with fun characters, quirky pets and a cute little girl!
I just loved the fact that Carrie had such a unique pet! I loved the fact this story was about a blogger and a book cover model and the way they develop a friendship!
I especially loved the witty banter, Cassies friends and how Matthew really is, the ultimate book boyfriend!
I just loved absolutely everything about the story! Matthew is the best single dad ever! Quite the man and I thought the collaboration of these two authors is amazing! They have such incredible talent at writing a book that captures your attention and makes you laugh but also shed some tears, when a book envokes these emotions from me, its truly a sign of something great! You definitely need to 1-click and devour it! Its why I love romance books and this was so right up my alley!
