In this brand new standalone comes the newest Rom Com asking, What can go wrong?Hunter When my business partner asked me to do him a favor, I had no idea he was sending me on a blind date his mother arranged for him. Iwalked in the bar, saw the woman drinking her third martini, and knew I was in for an eventful night. After the unexpected second date, she didn’t know my real name or who I really … night.
After the unexpected second date, she didn’t know my real name or who I really was.
By that time, the lie was too far gone, and I wanted her too much to admit the truth.
Laney
It’s not every day you find out yourex-boyfriend is engaged.
I shouldn’t have agreed to the blind date. My mother insisted, and I wasn’t in any position to turn down a night out.
I will admit, I definitely shouldn’t have ordered that fourth martini before said blind date even arrived.
The man turned out to be swoon worthy, handsome, condescending—a perfect distraction.
Then I found out he was a liar.
I’ve never been in over my head to this degree.
Then again, I’ve never been mixed up with love.

A blind date where one isn’t who they say they are… what could go wrong?
Hunter’s business partner, Anthony is a serial dater (he has finger cramps from so much swiping right) when his mother sets him up with the daughter of her best friend, how can he refuse? Only, he already has a date that night, so instead he begs Hunter to go in his place. Laney is sick of her mother’s meddling in her dating life after calling off her engagement when she found her fiancé doing his secretary over the desk.. his male secretary, she’s happy to be a workaholic, but makes a deal to go on this last one with her mother’s friend’s son to get her off her back. When Laney meets Hunter, well the sparks don’t exactly fly to begin with as she’s 4 martini’s down and he starts bossing her about, but they both certainly feel the attraction, there’s just one small problem, Laney think’s she’s with Anthony and when she finds out he lied then there are sparks.
This story is so fun, it has absolutely everything, romance, hot sweaty sexy times, laughter, a swoon-worthy ex-navy seal, now security to the stars hero, hysterical side characters and all topped off with the HEA a Natasha Madison book guarantees you.
Just fun!
That’s it — The story isn’t meant to make you think and feel — to get lost in the lyrical meaning. It’s just fun, romantic, funny and swoony. Everything for the perfect curl-up-in-the-corner and get lost in a story to enjoy.
Natasha Madison delivers two characters like oil and water that shouldn’t have ever sat down longer than five minutes for a blind date. But they do. And they work. Both strong and know what they want and don’t want in a romantic relationship which is polar opposite of each other. They rub each other a bit wrong but make it oh so right.
For every romance story lovers need list, it has bossy alpha male and the girl who refuses to conform to his bossiness. Misunderstanding abounds and someone is going to need to do making up. The story is paced well to devour in an afternoon. Recommendation when you just need to be entertained.
Oh my word, Natasha Madison has done it again!!!
Mixed Up Love is all kinds of mixed up PERFECTION.
One thing I love about Ms. Madison’s writing is her ability to write a visually vivid story with relatable and interesting characters.
I felt like I was watching a move while reading Mixed Up Love… I could literally close my eyes and see each scene.
Hunter is alpha perfection. Laney is a strong independent woman. Together their beyond perfection; their banter and chemistry is off the charts.
Beyond the words of this story I am most impressed with Ms. Madison’s growth as an author. Each book she writes you can clearly see her writing mature and grow. I love being on this reader journey with her and I cannot wait for what’s next!
5 Beautifully Mixed Up Stars!!!
Natasha Madison has done it, yet again!!! I can honestly say that she’s one of the TOP Rom-Com authors out there….and Mixed Up Love is a prime example of her talent! It’s Rom-Com GOLD, with a side of heart and SWOON and a DASH of ANGST!
What we have here is a fun-filled, laugh-out-loud romp of a love story that has a few twists that make your heart thump and swoon! Hunter works in security and is ALLLLL the things I love about a hero with attitude! When he gets roped into going on a blind date (as his best friend, Anthony) things start off a little rough…but very quickly escalate to hilarious! By the time the second date is over, I fell in love him, right along with an unwilling Laney! Laney is one of those heroines that I wish was MY bestie! She’s funny and sweet, very down-to-earth and trying to get over a broken heart! SHE’S roped into this blind date set up by her mother….what makes it so funny is that it FEELS so real! If you’ve ever been on a blind date, you will definitely identify with the emotions! I loved the banter between Hunter and Laney (and best friends’ Anthony and Sandy, too!)
All in all, this was CLASSIC Natasha Madison! The ONLY thing I didn’t like about this book?! It wasn’t long enough….I wanted to spend sooooooo much more time with these crazy, lovable, “Mixed Up” characters that feel like friends!
If you love a great romance story look no further! You get exactly what you come to except from this talented writer. Humor, emotion and romance galore. The supporting characters are entertaining and I hope we get their stories to! It’s a fantastic beach read or anywhere, any time of the year read.
Mixed Up Love is a short fun read. When Laney goes on a blind date with who she thinks is Anthony, she has a great time. Until she finds out the next day that Anthony is really Hunter. The truth throws her for a loop. Hunter agrees to go on this blind date because Anthony already has a date. He never expected for actually like the girl.
Natasha has blown me away with another great book. I feel like I need more from this characters. I wish I could fall in love with someone the way Laney and Hunter do with each other
I’ve got a true thing for Ms. Natasha Madison’s stories. I love her people and the rides she takes them on. This was a funnier story than I am used to from Ms. Madison and it was a real treat to get a bit more of her sense of humor. Mixed Up Love has a fantastic and fun storyline but it makes you wonder if a relationship can work when it was started and built on a lie. Can Laney forgive and forget when she keeps getting lied to by the men she’s in a relationship with? Neither of them thought anything would come of this blind date but they are both in deep.
I did feel as if this wasn’t as in-depth of a story as I’m used to from Natasha Madison. I didn’t feel like I really got past the exterior to really get to know the characters of Mixed Up Love. I enjoyed the secondary characters but I think if maybe we had a bit less of them and more of the main characters, just to get more in-depth on them, I would have enjoyed it more. I like getting to know the main characters and just getting small hints of their friends and families, especially if we’re going to get follow up books on them. I’m not sure if that’s the case here or not but I would have liked knowing Hunter and Laney a bit more.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
There’s only a few words that can adequately describe this book. Cute, fast and kinda maddening. The characters were well written and the chemistry between them believable. They had some good banter and played well off each other.
Laney is a dentist and has her own firm, she’s a self-made independent woman who is still caught up in the betrayal of her ex-boyfriend from two years ago. When news of his impending wedding reaches Laney, she is blindsided and lets her mom set her up on a date to get over it.
Hunter is a partner of a security firm which he owns with two other friends. One of these friends, Anthony, is a Tinder junkie who has finally met a girl to hold his attention for more than one date. But, then Anthony’s mom sets him up on a blind date with Laney which he doesn’t want to go on and asks Hunter to take his place.
Laney doesn’t know the intense, domineering man who appears at her table isn’t really her blind date. She is quickly taken in by him, even though he keeps warning her about stranger danger.
Hunter takes over and soon they are back at his place and have a great time together.
After spending the next few days together, things come to a head and Laney gets the wrong end of the stick. I felt like this part was overly dramatic and Laney’s reason for doubting Hunter just a little too convenient.
Hunter was intense, extreme and driven. He worried about every little details of Laney’s safety, obsessively so, it was so over the top and downright annoying at times. The reason for his ‘cray-cray’ is explained, but for me, I just think it was too simplistic an answer to the way he behaved. Their relationship was just as fast and intense. Laney was a bit too quick to judge Hunter when the truth came out.
I would have loved to say that this was a fantastic story but sadly for me, it just didn’t met the mark. This was my first book by the author so maybe I’m not used to her style of writing, something I’m sure her fans will agree upon.
What a cute quick read. I love the characters laney and hunter. Laney is so relatable and hunter is every girls fantasy.
LOVED Hunter & Laney
Natasha has done it again with another rom-com that is fresh, fun and downright sexy. I can’t get enough of her words and she draws you in with her funny banter, swoony hero and a sassy heroine. The circumstances in which Hunter and Laney meet make for a good comedy routine and story to “tell your kids someday.”
The writing in this lovable romance is witty, enjoyable, sexy when it needs to be and just the right amount of funny. Hunter is overprotective in a crazy way sometimes, but that’s what makes him SO endearing. He’s attracted to Laney from the start but doesn’t “do” relationships so his overbearing tendencies shine through. He’s a little over the top, but that’s what I loved about him. Laney is a smart, independent woman and doesn’t immediately fall for Hunter’s ideals on how she should handle herself. He quickly gets under her skin in a good way and the attraction these two have for one another can’t be denied.
Their encounters are fun, honest and real and the relationship builds at a perfect pace. This is a quick, flirty, heartwarming read that is worth going in blind!
After having her heart broken Laney goes on a blind date. But she figured she had nothing to loose so why not what could go wrong.
She meets Anthony… What she doesn’t know is that the guy who showed up isn’t actually the guy she was suppose to be on the date with and a guy that keeps warning her about the danger she puts herself in.
Hunter never ever dates and he doesn’t do relationships. So he surprised himself when he agrees to go on a blind date that his co-worker begs him to go on in his place. What he didn’t expect was to meet Laney, and what he also couldn’t understand was that he wanted her. Instant attraction on both sides and that is just the beginning…
This book is sweet, hilarious, witty, flirty and the back and forth banter between them is epic and not to forget the swoony romantic moments. Another plus for me
*3.5 stars*
I REALLY wanted to love this book as I’ve really enjoyed other light hearted books by this author. However try as I might this one just failed to totally come together for me.
Not saying I hated it, just that it wasn’t my fave by this author – nothing like Tempt the Boss!!
That being said, my rating is based on the scale of how much I enjoyed her other books but if you are looking for a cute, lighthearted read then this one fits the bill. Easy read.
Mixed up Love is my my first Natasha’s Madison book.
For sure I can say that I really enjoyed Laney’s and Hunter story, during reading it I was laughing a lot.
This story is sexy, sweet and very funny, even if it was a little too short for me. I read it very fast.
Laney is adorable with her compulsive behavior, because of that she gets into trouble… countless times, so… Yes, she’s perfect girl for being shining little star on this rom-com.
Hunter is everything what should man in rom- com have, but what’s important ??? He’s just perfect match for crazy Laney.
After reading blurb , we know that Laney and Hunter will go on blind date.
And what people say… excpect what’s the most unexpected…
THIS blind date will change everything for them.
Does Laney, who have broken heart will fall for Hunter, her personal alpha man with golden heart?
As title said their love will be mixed up a little, but for what we have HEA, right???
Yes, dear reader You must find out.
Mixed up love is a quick and easy read once you start you can’t put it down.Laney was setup ona blind date by her mother. When what she thought was Anthony shows up he’s rude and impatient. Hunter does his friend a favor by stepping in and going on his blind date. When Laney and Hunter come together it’s explosive from the beginning.
Mixed Up Love was a sweet and sexy romantic comedy. Laney and Hunter go on a blind date. They say first impressions are everything. That being said, Hunter comes across controlling and impolite. Laney on the other hand is pleasant but a little dejected. Their blind date starts off with a bang but ends up being fun and unexpected. What happens when these two opposites find themselves attracted to each other? This book was funny, alluring, sassy, and engaging. The main characters had great chemistry and enjoyable banter. Anthony and Sandy are the supporting characters that bring a lot of the comedy to the story. Overall, I thought it was wonderful and I look forward to reading more from Natasha Madison.
Personally I couldn’t think of anything worse than a blind date. And I couldn’t think of the most bizarre of circumstances when it’s your mother that sets it up. No, just no. I couldn’t do it.
But Laney, sweet, independent, driven and stunningly gorgeous Laney does.
After heartbreak Laney ventures out on a blind date. She has no idea what to expect, but she has nothing to lose.
His name is Anthony, that’s all she knows.
A public place, dinner….What could possibly go wrong?
Hunter never dates. A relationship is something that he has never had simply because he chose it that way. So you could imagine his surprise when is buddy and co-worker begs him to go on a blind date that he can’t attend because he um double booked.
God Hunter could strangle him, but one drink couldn’t hurt.
A public place, a quick drink, then see ya….What could possibly go wrong?
Guys I absolutely loved this novel. Such a light-hearted, witty, charming, quirky, humorous, sinfully delicious and fun loving read I couldn’t put it down.
Laney and Hunter’s story was one of sheer cheekiness and humour with a whole lot of delicious twists that it just left me wanting more.
Mixed Up Love was a breath of fresh air.
Such a beautifully written novel that will just consume you.
5 stars.
Cute, funny, and bringing allllllll the swoon, Natasha Madison stole my heart again with Mixed Up Love! Anyone who knows me will tell you how much I love Natasha Madison’s writing. Whether she’s making me cry like a baby or, as is the case with this book, making me giggle and happy sigh she never fails to write a story that completely captivates me. The sweet is off the charts in this book meaning I’m currently wishing I could just sit and hug this book forever. Sprinkled throughout with moments that me literally LOL’ing on top of all that swoony sweetness made this one unputdownable!
Laney was adorable. She’s totally someone I’d want to be friends with IRL. She’s funny, she’s kind, and she’s a bit quirky. She had me cracking up more than once, along with her best friend. Hunter starts off the gruff broody man that, let’s be real we all drool over, but soon shows his sweet side by being so freaking romantic I thought my heart might explode. You want swoon? Hunter is your man. What’s that? You want heat with your swoon? You’re good boo, Hunter’s got that covered too.
Now, he’s not total perfection, he’s a man after all. He does man things like being over protective and sticking his foot in his mouth occasionally so if you need a little bit of good grovel with your sweet. Bam! You got it! Ok, so yeah, I lied, he IS actually perfect.
Hunter and Laney are being brought together and they don’t even know it. After suffering the kind of blow Laney went through with her cheating, lying, and denying ex Laney is a bit gun shy when it comes to the opposite sex for a reason. When her mom sets her up on a blind date she is resigned to her fate in going but when he shows up and is simultaneously irritating and intriguing she is floored. Whyever Hunter agreed to covered Anthony’s on his blind date so he could be a keep his Tinder plans he cannot explain, but here he stands on a blind date with a woman who thinks he is someone else. That should be bad enough but then it turns out that he actually likes Laney, like seriously likes her and now he’s stuck in the impossible position of having gone into this lying. Stupid Anthony and Stupid him for going along with this cockamamie plan. Now he’s just gotta find a way to break it This this stellar woman that while his name his different everything else was 100% real.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book
I absolutely adored this latest story by this talented author. Laney is set up on a blind date by her mother. She really doesn’t want to go but for her mom she will do it. Hunter gets suckered in helping his business partner and friend Anthony to go on this blind date for him. He figured it would be pretty easy…go in and let her off the hook easily. What he didn’t bargain on was his attraction to Laney. I loved everything about their story, I laughed, cried, and swooned. Hunter and Laney brought out the best in each other and they were exactly what each other needed. I loved how protective and caring Hunter was toward Laney. I loved Laney’s feistiness and her sense of humor. This book is a fantastic read….one that I would highly recommend to everyone. If you are looking for a read that is lighthearted, makes you laugh and then swoon in the next….this is the book for you. Another phenomenal book by this amazing author and I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next. Well done!!!!

What if you go on a blind date to appease your mother and to get over your ex boyfriend of four years? What if you both want more but that initial date was all a lie? Mixed Up Love has all the fun and feels we have come to love from Natasha Madison. It is an excellent weekend read that will warm your heart and tickle your funny bone.
