Mistletoe Murder captures the bustle of the holiday season as a busy mom prepares for Christmas with her family in a small town in Maine, which isn’t quite as peaceful as it seems. This was the first Christmas cozy I ever read and it hooked me on holiday-themed cozies!
After reading a book later in the series I decided to go back to book one and see what it was about. It reminds me of Denise Swanson’s Scumble River series in that it has a down home feel. Lucy is truly your next door neighbor. She’s open and honest.
I enjoyed the background given especially her mom. It made me understand the other book I read in …
Lucy Stone found her boss in his car with the engine running. Was it suicide or murder? Lucy is determined to fine out the answer to all her questions and hopes she survives?
Tinker Cove series is a wonderful and easy read. Lucy and her family and all her friends make for an afternoon of enjoyment of reading. I love her books

I had “whodunnit” figured out with about 90% certainty before it was revealed, so no brow-furrowing twists that came out of left field in this one. Just …

Lucy Stone is working nights at a mail order company. When the owner is killed in the parking lot, she begins to piece together gossip to find the killer. I like the characters, but the plot was slowed down so much in the first half by every day life (Lucy is a married mother of two), that I was bored. Things did pick up in the second half.
