A heartwarming tale for the Christmas season.
Hoping for a new start, Molly McCarty, a divorcee with a young son, invests in a bed and breakfast in Christmas town. Anxious to leave her old life behind and start anew, she leaves home in bad weather, ends up in the middle of a snowstorm and runs off the road, only to find herself rescued by her new partner.
Noah Kincaid has lost everyone he cares about. With scars marring his face and his heart he has closed himself off, afraid to love anyone. But Noah’s about to find that Christmas truly is a magic time of year, filled with love, hope and new beginnings.
MISTLETOE INN is a well-written delight. Grab your hot chocolate and prepare to lose yourself in this feel-good story of holiday and happiness.
Love Christmas stories all year round, and Mistletoe Inn fits the bill – I loved it!
I’m a big fan of Hallmark Holiday movies and “Mistletoe Inn” is the same type of feel-good story that I enjoy. Molly finds a new job after a divorce and heads with her son Leo to help run Mistletoe Inn. The mother and son find themselves in a blizzard–and crash. They’re rescued by her partner Noah. There’s an immediate attraction between them, but a lot of baggage they are both carrying, too. I love the relationship between Molly and Noah, and the gentleness Noah shows her son, Leo. It’s easy to imagine the beautiful scenery through descriptions and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the guests and residents in Christmas. This is a sweet tale about second chances during the holiday season. If you’re a fan of charming holiday romances, this is a short-story you’ll want to read.
Molly McCarty and her son’s journey to (and at) the Mistletoe Inn is sweet and supremely satisfying! Noah Kincaid is a captivating romantic hero. A loner with scars from a difficult past, he deserves a love as perfect as his Inn and the town of Christmas. Beautifully written with many memorable lines, this one was my favorite: “there’s peace to be found in a wind’s soft sigh, the sweet song of a robin, and gentle sway of the trees—Heaven’s cathedrals.” Mistletoe Inn is a perfect read for Christmas or any time of year – like February when I read it, all the time wishing I was a guest at the Mistletoe Inn.
Mistletoe Inn – a review by Rosemary Kenny
Divorcée Mollie McCarty’s driving herself and her young son Leo in icy conditions, when a panicked stag causes her to crash, with potentially serious results. Luckily they’re soon found by Noah Kincaid, who turns out to be her new partner in the nearby eponymous Inn.
Unsurprisingly romance soon blossoms beneath the mistletoe, when new friends and old gather together for Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Later, a sweet present for little Leo and a repaired angel, seal the deal for a HEA.
Read Jacquie Biggar’s Mistletoe Inn, for a second chance love story that’s perfect for the Season!
Mistletoe Inn was on my Kindle for a while, and since it was the holiday, I decided to start reading it. I was quite pleased that the setting was in snow country in a fictional place named Christmas in Michigan. A divorced mom named Molly and her son Leo is headed for the Inn in heavy snow when a deer causes Molly to have a car accident. Molly is to take up a partnership of Mistletoe Inn with Noah, the owner. Lucky for her and Leo, they were close to their destination, and Noah came to their rescue.
And so begins a love story. Noah suffers from grief over losing his aunt, who originally founded the Inn. He is also self-conscious and filled with grief over his parents’ loss when he was a kid. The fire that took their lives also burned him significantly. So, Noah is scarred inside and out. He is not a likely candidate to be a plus one in a love duet.
To explain more would risk spoilers. Let me say I’m not one for romance stories but enjoyed this novella very much. I’m not sure whether it was the writing quality or the fact that after I finished, I had a warm feeling about the characters and the conclusion. I know this story took me back to my own Christmas in Michigan and caused the kindling of those lovely memories.
If you want a heart-warming story that is well written, this one is for you.
This Christmas more than others, don’t we need a lighthearted read? Mistletoe Inn was just that for me. It’s short, includes a sweet romance, and it’s full of hope – something that is in rare quantity these days. The story might seem familiar, but I found the familiarity to be strangely comforting. There are surprises scattered about, even a few tears. And what I realized as I turned the pages of this novella, is that this book brought me back to the Christmases I’m trying to remember.
A great little book very well told.
Beautiful blend of trust and hope!
Heartwarming love story!
This the first time that I read a novella written by this new author Jacquie Biggar. She didn’t disappoint me with this short love story ‘Mistletoe Inn’. What a sweet story!
It tells the sweet and romantic story of Molly, who needs a fresh new start after an awful divorce and Noah, a bruised man suffering of PTSD. During a snow storm, both their worlds collide with force and a build new friendship. Along with her son Leo, all three will embark on a Journey of hope, trust and romance.
I really enjoyed this clean, short romance. It has a lot of action for a short story. I’ve voluntarily chose to review this. I’ve given this a 5* rating. It includes puppies and a little boy. What a nice evening’s read.
A very sweet story about two people desperately in need of healing. It is a story that will definitely put a smile on your face as you root for Molly and Noah to find happiness.
If you enjoy Lifetime/Hallmark channel movies at Christmas time, you will definitely enjoy this. The characters are very likable and the plot is sweet.

A gentle Christmas romance, embracing the Spirit of Christmas and reminding one of the important things in life, this love story is well written and touched all the right spots for me. I could identify with Molly as she branched out and took life on her own terms, but not without fear and trepidation. Noah has his insecurities but he is a gentle giant that just needed one woman and small boy to break through his reserve. The novel is short but nevertheless leaves one with a warm glow. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.
A truly delightful Christmas or anytime romance! Molly McCarty and her son Leo are on their way to Christmas, Michigan. Molly has become a partner in a Bed & Breakfast in the small town and is looking for a new future for her and her young son. Not expecting so much snow, Molly avoids hitting a deer and her car goes off of the road. Noah Kincaid, the other half owner of the B&B finds Molly’s car and rescues her and her son. When Noah was a child, he was scarred in the fire that killed his parents. He has become a loner and is still grieving the loss of the woman who took him in after his parents died, his great Aunt Betty. Will Noah open his heart to Molly? Will the magic of the season help to bring healing and love to these special people? I couldn’t wait to read this wonderful story by Ms. Biggar (one of my favorite authors). She writes such unique stories with genuine, endearing characters. I read this in one sitting…and when finished, wanted to read it again! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
Mistletoe Inn is a heart-warming, Hallmark style Christmas romance. I had to read it straight through. (It appears in the anthology Love, Christmas 2.) This story checks all my boxes – a divorced woman with a young son needing to start over, a troubled man who lost his parent and nearly his own life in a fire who was raised by his aunt who has just died of cancer, a blinding snow storm, a dog and puppies, and Christmas. Will these three share a Christmas miracle? I think you will enjoy this story.
I love Christmas books and the perfect holiday book has to be full of heart and romance, healing, redemption, warm and cozy Christmas themes and maybe a hint of the magic of the season. Throw in a small child and a dog and you have me. Mistletoe Inn has all that and more. Noah is on his way to becoming a grumpy recluse. He bears the scars, inside and outside from the fire that killed both his parents when he was a small child. His aunt, who raised him and he loved, recently died too. I think that she was a wise woman because just before she died she sold part interest in her B&B called Mistletoe Inn to a young divorcee with a small child wanting to make a new start. Like it or not, Molly starts to thaw the ice that encases Noah’s heart. And, in a place like Christmas, Michigan, covered in snow and Christmas joy,and surrounded by young families and couples coming to the Inn for a romantic holiday who can resist romance? The novella has some depth and lots of heart too with themes of grieving and starting over. You will quickly feel like Christmas when you read this! I volunteered to read an advanced copy because I love all of Jacquie’s book and this is my honest review.
Two wounded hearts starting over and together. Really sweet romance.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
What a delightful short story. This one will warm your heart and soul. Molly and her son Leo move to Christmas, Michigan where Noah lives in a B & B that his recently deceased aunt own. Noah’s aunt took him in when his’ parents were killed in a fire that disfigured him both inside and out. The arrival of the precocious child and mother start a change in Noah.
This tale is a story that you will want to re-read each year at Christmas. What a wonderful Christmas tale of hope and love. This is a must read. I highly recommend this to anyone.
