From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a standalone romance about a swoony single dad and the new neighbor he falls for.Last night was the most embarrassing night of my life.I was that girl. You know, the highly intoxicated chick celebrating her thirtieth birthday with her two best friends—who are happily married. And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless … the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate.
By reckless, I mean the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar. You know his type—tall, dark, handsome. I was sure he was out of my league, but I’d had just enough alcohol that things like that no longer seemed to matter. I’m not fat, mind you, but you can tell I like french fries, so there’s that.
He took me home, and I enjoyed the hottest birthday sex of my life. Well, until it came to a screeching and rather unwelcome halt.
There’s nothing quite like being interrupted mid-ride with a little voice asking, “What are you doing to my daddy?”
Just kill me now . . . or so I thought.
Come to find out, the man I rode like a bull at the rodeo is my new landlord.

I really enjoy Kendall Ryan’s books, they are always entertaining and have a good amount of humor in them. I find myself either swooning over the characters or laughing out loud. This book was no exception, very funny at times, sweet and sexy at other. It will certainly keep you entertained.
Loved the story and the characters. Enjoyed the humor.
I loved it. I could not put the book down until The End. Kendall Ryan, once again, rocks it with her writing!
Kendall Ryan never disappoints. She always writes story that will make me swoon and that will put a big smile on my face.
As soon as I heard that Mister Tonight was a single dad book, I knew I needed to read it…Hunter ticked all the boxes
Kate is about to turn 30 and has kind of a mid-life ish crisis:
1. She is being kicked out from her flat and is now technically homeless.
2. She has no one in her life as she has a phobia of commitment and does not believe in HEA since her sister’s divorce.
So she decides to celebrate her birthday in style with her friends at Bucky‘s.
“No date. Just birthday sex. I’m looking for a Mister Tonight, not a Mister Forever.”
Hunter and Kate had chemistry from the moment they met. It was a done deal that ended prematurely due to Maddie, Hunter’s daughter who found them in a compromising position LOL
We know that this is not the end for this pair. So I was not surprised when we found out that Hunter was Kate’s new landlord. But, Maddie is not a fan of Kate…
After being stood up by his date, Hunter makes a proposal to Kate.
“So you’re telling me that if I wanted to have a fling with you—purely sexual, no strings attached—you’d be game?”
Kate and Hunter decide to go for the friends with benefits option to keep them both happy. We all know that this is not going to work from the start because Hunter wants more…
“I knew that the minute I even hinted at wanting someone to accept me as a package deal—to love me and love my daughter—Kate would be on the first bus out of town.”
Hunter is the hot, romantic, adorable single dad who revolves his life around his daughter happiness.
“he was affectionate with her, yet firm. He was a real man. One with responsibilities, a home and a child, and something about him having his s* together was extremely hot to me. It was some type of single-dad aphrodisiac I’d never experienced before.”
Will Kate manage to win Maggie over? Will Kate and Hunter get their HEA?
If you are fan of HEA and romantic story that will make your heart melt, Mister Tonight is for you! One happy click.
Mister Tonight is an all new fun stand-alone romance from author Kendall Ryan. From the moment I picked this book up, I knew it was going to be a lot of fun. From an incredible one night stand to a sooner than expected walk of a shame, this story had me hiding my face and dying of laughter. And if you thought that walk of shame was crazy, just wait until Kate sees who her new landlord is….
Mister Tonight is a super cute and fun romance. Overall, the drama factor was pretty low and I couldn’t help but fall for these two. Hunter and Kate were total opposites, but you’d be a fool if you couldn’t see how well these two were together. The sparks between these two were undeniable and hotter than ever. I mean, the chemistry just oozed off the pages. I couldn’t get enough.
Mister Tonight was just the right book to spend my weekend with. I devoured it easily in just a few hours. I couldn’t put it down and couldn’t wait to see how Hunter and Kate’s story was going to play out. If you’re looking for a fun and sexy read that’s light on the drama and will leave a smile on your face, look no further. Mister Tonight is just the fun and easy read you’re looking for.
If there’s one thing I STILL can’t seem to get enough of, it’s single dad romances. I don’t know why I’m so attracted to them, I just know that I LOVE them!
Mister Tonight ranks right up there near the top of my list. I fell in love with Hunter from the start. Hot, sexy, charming, sweet, and a bit of a dirty talker – Hunter has ALL the qualities of a great book boyfriend. PLUS he’s a terrific father so we get to see the other side of his personality. The man is irresistible.
Kate is fantastic! She knows what she wants and lives her life unapologetically. I loved watching her grow though this story and her “friendship” with Hunter’s daughter was oftentimes hilarious.
I really enjoyed this book. There was so much chemistry between Hunter and Kate. This book had plenty of heat, passion, sweetness, and fun to make it a great read!
4.5 stars for me.
I think this was super cute read. Second book I’ve read by this author and it too was so easy to devour. Very light read, not really any drama, of course I loved the whole “what are you doing to my daddy?” part. Embarrassing, so so funny and for all those with kiddos out there, I’m sure there’s been a time your kids walked in on you doing the dirty. Horrifying, and once the embarrassment subsides, it’s pretty freaking funny. Other than that and Maddie’s spunk, she was a pretty funny kid, pretty easy going. I will admit, I loved when Maddie kind of gave Kate attitude. Like, “what are you doing here?” *scoffs* haha those little things had me cracking up, and her “adult snuggle-time” comments. I also loved when she started warming up to Kate though too. The whole book kind of came together like, it’s too good to be true, when’s the other shoe going to drop? I waited, but for naught. Like I said, no real drama, just a super cute story about a girl looking for Mister Tonight, but finding Mister Forever.

Mister Tonight is Mister need to read right now! This book is awkward, funny, sweet, sexy and fun. It is the perfect all around read.
Kate is turning 30 and not looking for anything serious. Even though her friends are settled down, she is happy living the carefree life. She finds a hot guy at the bar and decides to make him her 30th birthday gift to herself. Little does she know that that Mister Tonight will end up being Mister Forever.
Hunter didn’t expect his one night stand to end up the way it did, let alone ever seeing her again. He is determined to play by her rules but is wishing for more in the end. He is a single father who is trying to raise his daughter the best he can and survive being a single parent. Hunter is sweet, hot and one amazing father to Maddie.
I loved these characters, especially Maddie. This book was hilarious, sweet and sexy all at the same time. It had the perfect combo of all of those things with memorable characters and a story that is sure to melt your heart.
Did someone say hot single dad romance? I can’t deny that this sub-genre has always been one of my ultimate weaknesses. When I read the blurb of this book, I knew right off the bat that I wanted to get my hands on it. And my oh my, was it downright sexy and cute and heartwarming all bundled into one.
“He was a real man. One with responsibilities, a home and a child, and something about him having his shit together was extremely hot to me. It was some type of single-dad aphrodisiac I’d never experienced before.”
Kate and Hunter made sparks fly together. Kate might’ve been averse to relationships in the beginning, but she learned soon enough that her newest landlord—the same man she’s been lusting over ever since that wild and very awkward night—is not just like any other guy. He’s definitely different and it didn’t help matters that he quickly charmed the pants off of her. Hunter is the kind of hero who will sweep you off your feet right from the get go. It’s wasn’t just that he was sweet and mature and someone who isn’t hard to fall for, but the way he was with his little girl, Maddie, will absolutely make you swoon to no end. He won’t only make you weak in the knees, but he’ll also make you feel just how much Maddie was his entire world. And that girl—she was just so stinking adorable. The more you get to know her, the more she’ll have you wrapped around her little finger.
”I want to keep you forever.”
A quick, steamy and swoon-worthy read, Mister Tonight is certainly a single dad romance that will leave you with nothing but good vibes. And maybe flushed cheeks. So be ready to drool over Hunter, laugh and giggle over Kate’s antics, and fall in love with sweet and smart little Maddie. Kendall Ryan has truly written a tale that you won’t only fawn over, but enjoy and savor as well.
4 1/2 STARS!
Kendall Ryan never disappoints! Picking up one of her books, you’re always guaranteed a super fun read. Steamy sex, feisty connections between the characters and laugh out loud moments. I loved this story!
She’s out celebrating turning thirty with her best friends when a sexy guy standing by the bar catches her eye. She’s had that one drink too many that makes her think she can get any man she wants … even though he’s totally out of her league! What do you know … he’s actually interested!
He’s a single dad, out for the night and takes the chance on having fun with the hot lady propositioning him at the bar. They’re in the middle of a lusty encounter when every parent’s worst nightmare happens … his toddler walks into his bedroom mid-act! Talk about mortified … he’s never seen a woman run out of his house so fast. He’s sure he’ll never see her again … oh but wait … come to find out, she’s the lady who wants to rent his garage apartment!
This is another funny, laugh-out-loud read from Kendall Ryan. I had fun reading this. I made my husband look at like I’m finally loosing it because I was laughing so hard at what happened the first time Hunter and Kate got together and Maddie burst in on them.
Kate is great. She wants birthday sex. That’s how she meets Hunter.
Hunter is a single dad to Maddie. Maddie is four and an absolute handful, but in a good way. Hunter is a great dad.
After that pitiful one-night stand that was ruined by Maddie, who would think they would ever see each other again…
Wrong. Hunters is now Kate’s landlord.
No strings. No complications. No commitments. That’s what Kate can offer.
You will get a lot of laughs, and some steamy scenes with this read. Kate changes and learns what she really wants.
This is a great read. I love Kate and Hunter!
One night was all it was supposed to be filled of hot sex and many orgasms. Yet turning 30 should not have been filled with embarrassment and well in a twisted way finding your forever. I loved that Hunter just wants to be the guy and not well the Dad. Seeing him with Kate was like him seeing himself be fun again and wanted for more than just watching cartoons. I did love that Maddie, his little girl had attitude lol like a spunky 4 year old already acting like a teenager. Kate was wonderful to read and boy Kendall Ryan definitely didn’t make it easy for her. This is one couple that was hilarious yet full of sexual chemistry it’s no wonder even Maddie was getting impatient. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
What’s not to love about a single dad and his adorable four year daughter well Kendall Ryan went way beyond the love of single dads with Mister Tonight, this may be my favourite book of hers so far.
This book has it all it’s got plenty of witty banter a strong sassy heroine and a single dad that will leave you swooning…..
Kate and Hunter have some seriously hot chemistry going on and an instant attraction ends up with a sleepover but what they didn’t expect was a unexpected little visitor in the middle of it all demanding to know why Kate was hurting her daddy……..
This book captivated me I loved the characters I loved the storyline and I loved the banter between Kate and Hunter but more importantly I loved the one liners from an adorable little girl. Mister Tonight is a beautifully written easy to read love story that will take over your heart and leave you wanting more as you laugh and cry as you follow Kate and Hunter’s journey.
Out of the hundreds of books that I have read in the past few years, I can count on one hand how many of those I would re-read. Mister Tonight is one title I would happily read over and over again.
Never have I wanted to be a character in a book like I wanted to be the curvy and determined, heroine, Kate. She was fiercely independent, confident in her body, and stuck to what she believes she wants in life. Never to cave in her own beliefs just to fit the mold or make others happy, Kate thought for herself and was happy doing so.
The biggest reason I wish I could be Kate in Mister Tonight, would be the relationship she has with her love interest, single dad, and her drop-dead gorgeous, and soon to be landlord, Hunter.
Hunter is out on the prowl when he meets Kate and fireworks soon ignite. He is incredibly handsome and says all the right things. The one small little tidbit that
Hunter doesn’t mention to Kate however is that he is a full-time single dad. But, she soon figures that one out on her own!
The chemistry between these two characters is off the charts. Yet their relationship is also tender and full of timid moments. Both characters, finding themselves in foreign territory, tread lightly with one another, in the hopes that they don’t hurt or scare off the other with their honesty about their true feelings.
But, when it comes to love and finding that one person you can truly be yourself with – do you take a chance and be honest with them? Or do you hold off and consider a hookup for what it was, just a hook up? Resigning yourself to the fact that he might not be your Mr. Forever because he was simply your Mister Tonight?
Sometimes a girl isn’t necessarily looking for her happily ever after. Sometimes all she wants is some no-strings fun. Kate just wants to bring in her 30th birthday with the proverbial bang, and she’s found just the right guy in Hunter. Tall, dark, and oh, so sexy, Hunter is just the guy to make turning 30 one heck of a great thing. Except…
I know that I am in for feel-good read that’s not too heavy, and that is guaranteed to satisfy when I pick up a book by Kendall Ryan. Likable characters, plots that are easy to get lost in, and a guaranteed HEA are the things that make her books some of my go-tos, and MR. TONIGHT is right up there as another win. Following Hunter and Kate as they navigate their relationship makes for a lighthearted and enjoyable time, and Hunter’s daughter Maddie is just the twist needed to kick things up a notch and keep things extra hilarious and heartwarming.
MISTER TONIGHT is an easy 4 stars for me, and ranks right up there as one of my favorites of Kendall’s contemporary romances. A must-read for fans of Kendall, this one is sure to touch your heart and leave you smiling.
Kendall Ryan has done it again with this newest release, by giving us a couple I think everyone can relate to. This book had me alternately laughing, swooning and just generally feeling good as I read it. I love that Hunter is a down-to-earth regular guy who just happens to be a single dad. None of this billionaire bad boy that seems to be the current trend. And the fact that there are some things he’s not proficient with (like his baking skills) makes him seem that much more realistic. I liked that Kate is a confident woman who owns her curves and isn’t ashamed of her appearance; she freely admits to liking her french fries dipped in ranch dressing (like me, as I sit here inhaling a bag of peanut M&Ms). The chemistry between them is hot, but they’re also building a genuine friendship. Of course, as these things do, feelings start to show up, although it’s taken one of them a bit longer to realize how they actually feel about the other person. They manage to navigate a few bumps and distractions along the way, and I like how the story wrapped up.
OMG Mister Tonight is a sassy and sexy story! Ashley @White Hot Reads
Kendall Ryan had me laughing out loud when Kate and her friends go out for her 30th Birthday and wants a Mister Tonight and not a Mister Forever to celebrate. Hunter was just looking for a good time but what he forgot about was being a single dad and not locking his door when he brings his fun home for the night. When Hunter’s daughter stops the fun in the middle and Kate goes running. What happens next starts a sweet romance and a great read! This is a quick and easy read and great book for the pool!
Mister Tonight is another drop-dead-sexy and heartwarming romantic comedy from Kendall Ryan. Hunter and Kate’s scorching-hot one-night stand turns awkward fast when his daughter walks in on them. Kate flees the scene, only to come face-to-face with the fan-yourself-worthy Hunter the next day when she discovers he’s her new landlord. They’re both dazed and confused over the unlikely turn of events, but both feel drawn to each other and neither can deny there is something powerful brewing between them. Their relationship is sassy, sweet and fiery as they decide they want a do-over of their night together. Sparks fly, chemistry sizzles and hearts swoon in Mister Tonight.

“I want to keep you forever.”
Sweet, sexy and easy to read. Kendall does these kinds of books with perfection. I don’t normally go for the single parent, or any books with kids, but this one was fun to read.
Hunter and Kate are about as perfect as you can get when reading romance. Both of them were mature, owned who they were, and had amazing chemistry. He respected the way she was and she approached his situation the way it should be. I loved these two.
This is a light on drama, not much angst, and a wonderful afternoon read, I finished this is one day. Any fan of Kendall’s books will love this latest book from her.
“Mister Tonight, huh?” he asked, recalling Jessie’s words.
I rolled my eyes. “Obviously, that didn’t’ work out.”
“I’d say it worked out perfectly.”
A feel good, sweet and hilariously funny single dad romance…
I can’t wipe this silly grin off my face, just like I couldn’t put this book down! Mister Tonight is one of those books that once you start reading it, you won’t be able to stop. This is the sort of book that will just make you feel all sorts of giddy and warm inside. If I haven’t said this before, I have to say it now- Kennedy Ryan is the Romantic Comedy Queen! It doesn’t matter seriously awkward or cringey scenario you can think of, she can turn it into a feel good love story.
The plot for this book isn’t the most original, BUT the follow through and humour make it something completely new. I don’t think there’s been an author brave enough to tackle the unfortunately kid walk-in, and I don’t think that any other author could do it with the humour and confidence that Ms. Ryan has done. And certainly not so early on in a story either. Honestly, though, that comes as no surprise to me. I loved the pacing of this book, I found that it was a quick read, despite it being a full length novel. Yes, it is on the shorter side, but it is so well written and developed that it reads like a longer novel would.
The characters themselves are brilliant and lovable. Beginning with Maddie, Hunter’s daughter, and going as far as the secondary characters. Becca, Kate’s bestie, I couldn’t get enough of! As for Kate, I thought she was just a great heroine. She’s soft and sweet, but she has that quirky laddish mentality of love. Personally I found this really endearing and I liked that it never went too far and got in the way of the flow of the story. She’s not hard-headed, she’s just not had a great experience with relationships. Hunter, my word, he was just freaking delicious. From the way he interact with Maddie to the way he handles Kate. He is just dreamy. I have to be honest, he was far too, too easy to love. But I think that that is a result of how easily he loves too. There is nothing bad I could think or say of him. For me, these were just a match made in romance reader heaven.
All in all, I can’t express how much I adored this read. Mister Tonight is lighthearted, sweet and hilarious. It had me buzzing from beginning to end. I was so excited and completely into it that when I reached the end I almost cried. I just didn’t want to say good bye to these characters and their story. Even in the Epilogue there were some spectacular lines from Kate that had me bawling with laughter. This really is just a feel good, sunny side up book. Quite simply a must read.
