From the NYT Bestselling author of BIG ROCK, comes a hot and hilarious new standalone…
Just call me Mister O. Because YOUR pleasure is my super power.
Making a woman feel ‘oh-god-that’s-good’ is the name of the game, and if a man can’t get the job done, he should get out of the bedroom. I’m talking toe-curling, mind-blowing, sheet-grabbing ecstasy. Like I provide every time.
I suppose … every time.
I suppose that makes me a superhero of pleasure, and my mission is to always deliver.
BUT then I’m thrown for a loop when a certain woman asks me to teach her everything about how to win a man. The only problem? She’s my best friend’s sister, but she’s far too tempting to resist–especially when I learn that sweet, sexy Harper, has a dirty mind too and wants to put it to good use. What could possibly go wrong as I give the woman I’ve secretly wanted some no-strings-attached lessons in seduction?
No one will know, even if we send a few naughty texts. Okay, a few hundred. Or if the zipper on her dress gets stuck. Not on that! Or if she gives me those get-over-here-and-take-me-eyes on the train in front of her whole family.
The trouble is the more nights I spend with her in bed, the more days I want to spend with her out of bed. And for the first time ever, I’m not only thinking about how to make a woman cry out in pleasure — I’m thinking about how to keep her in my arms for a long time to come.
Looks like the real Adventures of Mister O have only just begun….

Nick (twin of Wyatt from Well Hung and yes I read these out of order) is comic drawing woman magnet who is obsessed with making them feel good in bed. He’s also best friends with Spencer from Big Rock. And he finds himself noticing Spencer’s younger sister, Harper, who is amazing. She is a magician, adorably awkward, and absolutely clueless when it comes to men. And her journey with Nick, teaching her about men, dating, and sex, is full of sweet, steamy, hilarious, and fantastic! I loved it!! And I think I may like Nick even more than I liked Wyatt.
Read as part of a boxed set. Pertinent part of the review below…
I have read several of Ms. Blakely’s books, and remembered why I enjoy reading her world. Warm, funny, witty, sometimes irreverent, and filled with likable characters – every book in this series just delivers.
And, what a joy to read such well edited books! Another note – while told from a first person POV, it is not a continual stream of “I did…” or “I said…”. There is story, detail, thought, opinion, feeling, and description in refreshing variety.
Mister O (#2) Nick & Harper
Nick and Harper have been friends forever. They know each other because Harper is Spencer’s little sister, and Nick is best friends with Spencer. Nick is the creative mind behind a late night animated show – the infamous and most generous Mister O. Harper is a magician – tearing up the child’s birthday party scene. Neither has much time for the dating scene, but Harper is looking to find love and happiness. To achieve this end, she asks Nick to help her learn to communicate, flirt with, and otherwise establish a dating relationship. Nick agrees, and they agree to limit their efforts to the time Spencer is away on his honeymoon. Because Big Brother. Anyway, lessons commence. Nick realizes he really doesn’t want Harper taking what he is teaching her out into the dating world. But, there is a time limit. Spencer is coming back. And the issues Harper wants to correct don’t seem to apply to him. Does that mean she doesn’t see him like he sees her? And what happens when a twist with he work gets thrown into the mix?
Three out of four of these couples started out as long term friends. They knew tons about each other – likes, dislikes, quirks, and charms. Everyone was likable. And while they path was a bit rocky, it wasn’t tragic or angsty or filled with danger. Just people going through emotions, friendships, and finding love. Light, fun, witty, and well written. What more could you ask for? Enjoy!!
Nick the sexy cartoonist and Harper the awkward magician had me LMAO throughout the entire book and I loved it! Having know each other for years, since he’s her brother Simon’s best friend, they already have an established relationship and an ease with one another. Their interactions are believable and so real. But things get interesting when Harper asks Nick to give her dating tips. Even though Big Rock and Mister O can be read as standalones, I wouldn’t skip either. Loved both. They were sexy, funny and flirty and can’t wait for the rest of the series.
“I’m so crazy for her and it’s ridiculous.”
Spencer’s best friend + Spencer’s sister = the best couple in this series yet! They both had lots of things in common. Things that I could also relate to. I loved, loved, loved the fact that the male love interest has a thing for Harry Potter along with the female love interest. THE WOMAN IS A HUFFLEPUFF! I mean… she’s like my fictional best friend ever!
This book does have more steamy scenes than the previous book, but I still loved each and every one of them. But I will say that I loved how the characters fell in love in the previous book better than this book because it kind of feels like everything happened all quick (then again it might be the fact that I finished most of this book in a day).
Overall, I have very much enjoyed this book and will be continuing the series! I would recommend to anyone who is looking for an enjoyable, VERY STEAMY, romance! XD!
I loved this hilarious and heartfelt friends to lovers romance! Brilliantly told from Nick’s pov, it is refreshing, clever, and ‘O’ so sexy! Nick Hammer is a wildly popular naughty cartoonist and his best friends little sister, Harper Holiday, is a magician. How cool is that?! Nick has matured from nerdy schoolboy to hot, sexy, master of woman’s pleasure, thanks to the tutelage of his older lovers. But Nick is also sweet, kind, generous and still rocks a pair of glasses. Harper is smart, quirky, charming, and thoughtful. They have been friends for years and have fun and respect one another. When they need each other they are always there to help the other. So in the middle of exchanging favors, their hilarious and witty banter starts to have sexy innuendos. While Nick tries to decode their meaning, he starts to see Harper differently. Will the coaching he gives Harper push her to another man or can he convince her she is absolutely perfect, as she is, for him? Nick and Harper are honest and organic characters that compliment each others quirkiness. Their banter is hilarious and their chemistry is explosive. Ms. Blakely expertly creates genuine, authentic characters in her smart, funny and heartfelt stories. This book is another brilliant, clever and ‘O’ so sexy Blakely romance that is a MUST READ!
Part of the author’s Big Rock series so there is some character cross-over from her previously released work. Just a fun and very enjoyable read.
5 stars
I purchased a copy of Mister O by Lauren Blakely in The Bigger Rock 4 book collection and this review was given freely.
Book two features the crazy, funny, and tension filled friendship of Spencer’s sister, the magician/ softball player Harper and Spencer’s best friend Nick. The supposed fake attraction mentioned in Big Rock heats up and becomes real. An entertaining blend of erotic, quirky, innuendos, humor and sweet relayed from a man’s point of view. Nick’s language at the beginning is a little to rough/basic for me but the total storyline and seeing Nick converted from a sex focused playboy into a loving and caring single women focused male was heartwarming and worth the read.
Its not that I disliked this book, its just that I thought it was ok. I’m sure why I’m not loving this series. I am a sucker for falling for your best friends sibling. But I could not connect with Nick and Harper.
I think Nick and Harper have a very close friendship. They along very well. I liked that Nick and Harper both have different and not often named jobs. Harper and Nick are both awkward in their own ways, if not a bit nerdy. But Lauren Blakely writes so perfectly that its not even noticeable about their characters. Its clear that Nick has growing feelings for Harper, but he is conflicted because she’s his best friends sister and he’s supposed to be helping her with her man problem. As he gives her a very hands-on lessons in dating and loving, he’s falling more and more in love with her and he doesn’t know how to let her go. It was all very cute and I read it so fast and easily. I just didn’t connect to the story. This book reminds me a lot of Beautiful Player by Christina Lauren and if you like that book, you will definitely love Mister O.
I’m a huge male POV whore. Loved every minute of this book.
I loved this book! A great romantic comedy written in the guy’s point of view. I had a very difficult time putting this book down! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
-She dives in for another kiss, then gives me a dopey smile. “So you really love me, huh?”
I laugh. “I really love you.”
“I am one lucky girl.”-
I really liked this story, and I recommend it to the fans of lessons-in-seduction type of stories. Nick and Harper are two adorable characters who you can’t help but fall in love with. Their story compliments their laid-back and quirky nature – it’s sweet, funny, really sexy and (this I loved!) really, really low on drama. Just to clarify, I love angst, but I can’t do drama, so this is a huge plus! Really nice, both sweet and sexy, funny and (almost) drama-free romantic comedy!
Steamy story about exactly what you would think Mister O would be about, but it is also a love story with a HEA. Lauren did a great job with this book.
I really liked Nick’s character because he was different. Yes, he called himself Mister O but that wasn’t always the case. He was shy and awkward growing up and eventually he grew out of that stage. One thing about Nick is that he isn’t a manwhore so to speak. Yes, he loves to please the ladies but it’s the same lady more than once. It was refreshing to read about a male character who wasn’t afraid of monogamy or falling in love. Nick wore his heart on his sleeve and I loved him for it!!
Harper was perfect for Nick. She’s a magician and it’s your typical girl. She’s quirky but there’s also another side to her as well. Seeing Nick help bring out that side to her was so sexy and steamy!
I absolutely loved this book!! The writing, the banter, everything is just perfect. I’ve become a broken record in my reviews but honestly no one does Rom Com like Lauren Blakely! She creates these lovable and relatable characters that you can’t help fall in love with!! I know some people might be on the fence with the male only point of view and as someone who likes both I still enjoyed the story. Also if you can I highly recommend adding audio narration! Sebastian York does an excellent job with this story!
I would like more stories like this. I rarely read books more than once, but I will read it again.
‘O’-utrageously hilarious, c’O’mically entertaining, and ‘O’utstandingly written! Just a couple descriptive words for MISTER O!
MISTER O had the uniquely comedic “Lauren Blakely” quality written all over it. From the hilariously suggestive title to the amusingly witty couple, Mrs.Blakely stopped at nothing to give us readers an entertainingly satisfying novel packed with sexual innuendos, dirty-sexting, tons of humor, sexual tension, love, and of course there was no lack of the “O’s”….and I don’t mean Cheerio O’s *wink*.
MISTER O was told completely in the male POV (Nick Hammer’s POV) and it was about “seeing” what was right in front of you all along. Sometimes you have to go about things in an unconventional way in order to see things for what they are. That’s how it worked for Nick and Harper in MISTER O. Harper was always “off limits” to Nick because of the whole “best friends little sister” aspect. But after Harper asks Nick for some “training in dating”, Nick takes on the “teacher” role with gusto and eventually “lessons in seduction” are added to their lesson plans. With this new element added to their friendship and the more and more they hang out, Nick quickly realizes that maybe there is something more important in life than work. Maybe they could extend their “classroom” to their real lives. Can the student and teacher take these lessons and make them real…forever? Read to find out!
Nick Hammer and Harper Holiday’s story was downright funny and absolutely adorable…it was by far my favorite Lauren Blakely novel to date. Anyone that likes to read “romantic comedies” MUST pick this book up! You will not be disappointed!
“Harper started out as the woman I lusted after one day in Central Park when we pranked her brother, and she became my buddy, my dating protégé, and then my student. But the truth is I learned just as much from her as she did me, if not more. I learned that loving with your whole heart is even better than racking up Os.” -Nick
5 “uberly hilarious” stars!
I snorted and lusted my way through this book. The awesome innuendos, the ridiculous jokes, and the overall coolness of Mister O is enough to drive any girl/woman to squirmy thighs.
You don’t have to have read Big Rock but it makes it fun connecting characters. I had an absolute blast.
Hot filthy thoughts, phrases, and situations will give you plenty of smiles because if there is one thing Mister O does it’s giving…
Once again I’ve fallen head-over-heels for one of Lauren Blakely’s characters. And once again I feel like I’m cheating on all the rest. I honestly don’t know how the woman does it, I really don’t. How she’s able to write these uniquely individual male characters who have me falling all over myself is beyond me. I bow down to her brilliance.
Nick Hammer is undoubtedly the sexiest, hottest, funniest cartoon-drawing character I have ever come across. He’s undeniably swoony. Harper Holiday is quirky, funny, and completely unique in her own right. Put the 2 of them together and you have one highly entertaining, utterly charming, and absolutely delightful read.
You think with titles like Big Rock and Mister O you’re in for some light, easy reading. And for the most part that is true. But like Big Rock, Mister O packs that emotional punch that sneaks in on you, and that is what really puts these books in a category all their own. Not only are the fun and full of sexiness, but they’re so heartfelt and so genuine, you just cannot help falling in love.
I have to say that I love every single book that Lauren Blakely has written and that includes Mister O. Mister O is a feel good friends-to-lovers romance that had me swooning! This book is told from Nick Hammer’s point of view which I find absolutely sexy! Nick Hammer and Harper Holiday were brought to our attention in Big Rock and I knew right then their story would not be one to miss!
Nick Hammer, former ex-nerd, is Mister O who has made himself a success as the creator of the animated show, The Adventures of Mister Orgasm. He is funny, gorgeous and comfortable in his own skin which is why his best friend’s sister, Harper, asks him to help her learn how to be comfortable around men. The compatibility between the two is off the charts and you almost can’t believe they don’t see it for themselves. Or do they?
Harper is Spencer Holiday’s sister, which means she is off limits since Spencer is Nick’s best friend. She is a bit awkward and that is what seems to draw Nick to her. She is a magician and able to pull of a front of being more confident than she really is.
Nick asks Harper to help him be his “wing-woman” at his company party and in turn owes her one. That turns into Nick helping Harper learn how to date, although it is killing him to think of her with other men. Needless to say, they both succumb to their desires for each other and it gets REALLY hot. The sex in this book….WHOA. From the role playing to the sexting to Nick’s fantasies about Harper, it was way beyond HOT. It will definitely give you some ideas 😉
Nick and Harper’s love story is simply wonderful. This is a book that you will read straight through. It is definitely a fun, dirty and heart-warming read. I cannot wait for the next book!
This may just be my favorite Lauren Blakely book and I really love her. Something about hot and nerdy Nick and sweet Harper just gets to me – they are my favorite couple so far in this Big Rock series (that I totally read out of order and have yet to complete, but whatever). Mister O has the chemistry and banter that I love in Lauren Blakely’s books, but there was just something more to the way that they interacted that I just loved. From the text messages, to the whole Tumblr porn conversations, they were just so hot and adorable together. This is one of those books that I’ve re-read and re-listened to multiple times, and will continue to do so into perpetuity. It’s probably my most recommended Lauren Blakely book! 5 out of 5 wine glasses for sure!
5 Spoonfuls of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream a la Mister O mode!
Oh gosh, I hope Ms. Blakely doesn’t hate me when I say, I love Nick more than Spencer. I mean, I love Spencer, but holy orgasms, Nick Hammer took the cake in this one. He was sexy, funny, sweet, and honestly took the perfect personification of book boyfriend.
In this romantic comedy standalone, I loved that the characters were already half way in love. You see it immediately even though it’s subtle in an sexy way. However, how the author unfolded their connection, their “quirks”, well it was magical. Their adventure of friendship and love keeps you engaged and entertained.
Mister O is told in the first person, solely male point of view. Usually this not my preference, but Ms. Blakely truly has an art in this, for you don’t miss the other side of the person. The telling, the description is so well detailed the reader feels like she is right in the middle of scene. You smell what the character smells, you feel what they feel. It truly makes you feel involved.
Do I recommend this story? Absolutely! I cannot wait to Hammer in it again with Hung.
