From the New York Times Bestselling authors of Cocky Bastard and Stuck-Up Suit, comes a sexy new standalone novel.I met Bianca in an elevator. She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck. The beautiful raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed. She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she’d dubbed “Mister … businessman she’d dubbed “Mister Moneybags” – her afternoon appointment.
Bianca told me how much she hated Dex’s type – snobby, over educated, silver-spooned men who didn’t appreciate the simple things in life.
So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn’t – a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn’t want it to end.
I began dating her as “Jay” – all the while letting her interview the real me over email.
I didn’t expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot.
I didn’t expect the mess I’d gotten myself into.
I didn’t expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.
And she was falling for two men.
Only, both men were me.
And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.
Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for what came after.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Mister Moneybags was another goldmine of a read for me! I enjoyed reading how Dex managed the often hilarious challenges of being himself and an alter ego, Jay, in order to get to know Bianca more after they first meet on the elevator. As dishonest as this little deception is, it is actually the easiest part of their story to overcome because the plot twist takes the cake. Even though I have come to love and expect the clever plot twists from these two writers, I didn’t see this one coming. Pick this book up to see what I mean.

What a dynamic duo…It absolutely amazes me what these two authors can come up with. Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland will always be auto read authors for me. I have never been disappointed with either of their books and their co-authored books.
Mister Moneybags was no different. I absolutely LOVED this book. Just like all the other books in this series….Penelope and Vi haven given us a fun, entertaining and captivating storyline. The characters are lovable and relatable and you just want to be a part of their lives. I laughed with this book, but I also swooned, yelled and even teared up a little. I love when they can touch on all of my emotions. I have to say I never want their books to end.
Mister Moneybags is the fourth book in their Cocky Bastard Series (Cocky Bastard, Stuck-Up Suit, and Playboy Pilot) but each of these books are complete standalone. Meaning there are no overlapping in characters or storyline. Yes we do get a cameo in this book from a previous Cocky Bastard (I won’t say which one) but, if you haven’t read any of the previous books, you won’t be lost or feel you are missing anything. This story is completely original and focuses on a new couple.
As always these two authors writing style mesh perfectly together. You truly can’t tell who writes which part. I loved the pacing of this story and how they worked the characters together. I loved the banter between Dex and Bianca. I also loved that they threw in a surprise in the story and took this in a totally different direction then I was expecting. Yes the first part of the story is fairly predictable, but that isn’t the case as the story unfolds 😉 Once I started this book I found it really hard to put it down. I will tell you that this book had a really strong storyline, in which this story isn’t loaded down with a lot of sex scenes. Now don’t get me wrong Dex will melt your kindle, but it was done in a different way than I was expecting. To say this whole book was different then I thought it would be is an accurate statement, but I love when a book can surprise the readers.
In this story we follow the chance encounter of Dexter Truitt and Bianca George. They met when the elevator they are in stalls and they are thrust into darkness. Bianca is there because she is supposed to be interviewing Dexter for her magazine that she works for. Bianca was running late so she didn’t even notice someone in the elevator with her until he talks to her when the elevator stalls. Dexter Truiit runs a multi-million dollar company and has kept his personal life private….including his looks. So not knowing who she is stuck in the elevator with, Bianca doesn’t paint Dex in a positive light. But Dex is fascinated with Bianca and doesn’t want to let her walk away….so he introduces himself as Jay. What Happens when the truth comes out?? Will Bianca be able to forgive Dex for lying?? Can these two have a HEA??
Step into the world of another “cocky bastard” and find out those answers. You will not be sorry!!!
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves an engaging storyline with fun loving characters that happen to meet by a chance encounter. Oh and if you love animals in your stories, you NEED to meet Bandit!!!! Don’t wait start this series today….It is a MUST READ!!!!

Mister Moneybags was a standalone by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. For me this experience built and kept getting better and better as I progressed through the storyline, ending strong.
Bianca George was the beautiful, feisty and humorous journalist that was assigned to do an exclusive story on the elusive, Dex Truitt. Dex was the gorgeous, spoiled, hard working billionaire. He met Bianca in the elevator on the way up for his interview. Understanding immediately that Bianca had some negative preconceived perceptions of Dex, he kept his identity from her so he could get to know her better.
It was written with a dual POV. I enjoyed getting inside the head of each one, although it didn’t leave much to the imagination. At first, I wasn’t a fan of Bianca’s judgements. Although snarky and funny, she was pretty harsh. Additionally, I had a love/hate relationship with the premise of the story. Lies are never good but I liked the elevator scene, the first scene were they actually met. I also liked that Dex’s real identity was revealed early in the book; which gave the plot more substance. Ultimately it wasn’t the main focus of the book. This was when I really enjoyed the book and it just kept getting better.
In reading the blurb of the book, I had certain expectations and felt it would be predictable; however, Keeland and Ward created some unexpected plot twists and had us pulling for Dex and Bianca. I enjoyed the friendship development and became invested as we progressed through the storyline.
In the end, it was a quick, light and entertaining read. I loved the humanness and life imperfections that were portrayed, ultimately providing an enjoyable read.
Talk about problems…
Twists in books are expected. The one in this book was definitely an unusual but very entertaining one. The trials, tribulations, and anxiety were perfect for keeping you on your toes.
As usual, the authors kept me highly engaged and needy until the end. Be prepared for a wild ride.
Meh! This one was alright. I did enjoy reading this book and it kept my interest, but after I finished it I thought that the story was alright. There is quite a bit that happens with these two main characters. Maybe a little too much that was meant to cause friction in their relationship. So while I did enjoy reading this book about a billionaire who lies about who he is and falls in love because the sexy journalist who’s supposed to interview him already has preconceived judgments about him.
What a read! I loved Dex! So sweet, flirty and just the right kind of pervy. Bianca, so strong yet vulnerable. A unique story with a twist. Another fabulous read by these two authors! Highly recommend this book.
I absolutely loved Dex and Bianca’s story. The feelings and mood was just amazing. I also loved that the characters dealt with their struggle together. I definitely suggest this to any of my friends!

Well, I’m going to say I liked it, but I didn’t looooove it. Yes the story has one helluva plot twist, I’m still kind of on the fence about it. It’s just different. I am going to come right out and say this though….Dex and Bianca only had sex once! What the french toast is that about?! Yes, yes, I know that every story doesn’t need “the sex” yada, yada, yada. But when you have that visual on the cover…Holy moly cow I want to read about them having fun all over the place! Mutiple times. Mayhap 4 times on a Tuesday, just because they can! I get why they waited because of said twist, but I can’t help it, it gave me the sads. I did like the epilogue, it was really cute. I’m going to chalk it up to not my favorite of the lot but seriously, I can’t wait to see what the next one will bring.
Dex can be tossed in the Alpha male category, but like any “superhero” of the story, he has his weakness. His weakness just jumped into his life on an elevator. He is thrown off of his game that he falls into a lie that eventually spirals out of control.
Bianca is also spiraling out of control, by falling in love with two men. She fell quickly for this guy she met on an elevator and there is Mister Moneybags who is typically the opposite of anything she likes in men, but there is something about their conversations that has her intrigued.
When the cat (or dog) is let out of the bag…will Mister Moneybags be able to “buy” his way out of it?
I love the balance between Dex and Bianca. It is a fun combo of smart-ass and chemistry, but the true power couple are Vi and Penelope. These two ladies knock it out of the park for me…Every.Single.Time.
I loved this one. It was so funny and the characters melted my heart, from the MC to the dog, every last one. I also liked the twist at the end, although I new one was coming, I could decided which one it was. I loved that there was really only one big sex scene but a lot of sexual innuendo. There was a lot of reality to this story but not so much that you could not enjoy it as a work of fiction. Great job on this one!

Captivating from the first page to the last. I
Iaughed out loud a lot, even in public, that’s rare for me…
Great story, perfectly written by two great authors. Looking forward reading the next book of Vi and Penelope! Thanks for such an entertaining read!
