Twelve menTwelve months Twelve articles Mister Dos is unsuspecting victim number two. He’s sweet, hardworking, and a rough-and-tough country boy … a refreshing suitor for Anthea. Will Anthea be able to keep her identity hidden this time? Will she continue with the dare and keep her job?And will she do it without falling in love?
WOW this book is LIT! A great second instalment to the mister series. I love that they are short stories and it helps that they are quick to read. Def. recommend
Mister Dos (Mister, Mister Series Book 2)
Wow! A superb short story by Ms Brooks. Mister Dos is a book that warms your heart. It’s funny – totally funny! Ive loved the language, wit used and it is so eloquently put together.
Mister Dos and all his amazing cowboy ‘qualities’ just had me in swoon from start to finish.
A fun loving, catchy read that I found once I started – I couldn’t put down. LOVE this Series. 5
3.5 stars
As a journalist “investigating” one man a month, Anthea’s traveling and essentially having a bunch of one (or two or five, etc) night stands.
My major issue with the books so far is the total lack of character development and backstory. With the series only a few short chapters each, essentially a bunch of sketches, instead of books, it seems impossible to truly develop a character.
While I didn’t care for the first book in the series, Mister Dos was a much better “love” interest than Mister Uno. Here I, at least, felt chemistry and there was SOME backstory. Also we finally see some steam involved in this story, unlike book one. I did enjoy the depiction of ranch living and her slight transformation from silly, flighty city girl to a hard working ranch hand. While I still find myself thinking “are there really going to be twelve of these”, I’m intrigued enough to stick around for round three. We’ll have to see what the tropics have in store for Anthea.

I absolutely loved Mr Dos! It is a refreshing story about a city girl and country boy. Can’t wait for Mr Tres and Anthea’s next adventure.
12 men, 12 months, 12 articles.
I enjoyed this one much more than I did the first which I didn’t know was possible, country boy is loving, protective, hot, and the best rider in town. I know the aim of these short stories is to see 12 different men, though I wished city girl stayed a little longer with country boy. They had a spark.
Loved Mister Dos. Such a quick read but thoroughly enjoyable. I’m ready for Mister Tres now
Magazine columnist Anthea Links is off to research the second installment of her new series. She has to date 12 different men in 12 months to show what men are really looking for in the woman they date. For this adventure, Anthea’s off to the country.
When Anthea arrives in the small town she plans on finding Mister. Dos in, she realizes that her travel arrangements have fallen through and she has no place to stay. Relying on the kindness of a fellow passenger, she finds herself taken in to his family’s cattle and experiencing first hand the hard work it takes to keep the place running. Along the way, she meets Mister. Dos. An honest Country Boy who is a romantic at heart and immediately takes to playing the roles of tour guide, protector and lover for her time on the ranch to the City Girl who is definitely out of her element.
Anthea finds that walking away from Country Boy will definitely be more difficult than leaving Mr. Uno had been . . . as this romance is sweet, steamy and definitely exciting. Will she be able to keep their identities a secret and continue on with her series, or has her heard been claimed by this unexpected romance?
I love an opposites attract romance and Belle Brookes truly delivers that with Mister. Dos. I loved watching Anthea have to acclimate herself to the cattle ranch and all that entails and fully embrace it while she is there! I also loved Country Boy . . .such a sweet and romantic alpha . . . I know we are not that far into the series yet, but I’m kind of hoping we see him again . . . 4.5 Stars!
Liked this one better than the first. It does jump right in and maybe that’s why I liked it. What I’m still missing is the backstory, maybe this is why novellas/short stories aren’t my thing. I want the depth, the passion, the falling in love. Mister Dos just covers the surface.
Anthea meets her second assignment in the form of a smoking hot cowboy. He’s absolutely delicious and reminds me so much of my husband. She really needs to circle back to “Country Boy”, he’s a keeper. These short stories are the absolute best afternoon pick me up. I can’t wait for the rest. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
I’m not typically a country boy fan. I loved the first book i n the series, and thought I’d go ahead and give the second book a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! So many times when writers write about country boys they make it seem like Chippendales in Boots and a cowboy hat. However I was surprised that while he is super hot like Caliente Hot it’s not all Brawn and no brains. I read this and like 30 minutes LOL and then I read it again just because I loved it so much! Totally got me thinking about trying a few more cowboy books in my future! Belle’s writing is top notch, I’m a grammar fiend, and honestly aussie authors tend to irk me and their grammar usage, but Ms. Brooks writes well and her editor must be top notch! Can’t wait for more for this saucy series!
Mister Dos is two times the fun.
The second month of Anthea’s “job” is underway and super steamy. Mister Dos is heating up…to maintain anonymity Anthea is City Girl which can only mean Country Boy is victim number two. So far so good, can’t wait to experience adventures three through twelve.
Mister Dos is another hot quick read. Country boy is number 2 on Anthea’s 12 months of dating project. How for will she make it? I can’t wait for numero tres.
Mister Dos ups the ante with characters that are more fleshed out, and a Country Boy to swoon over. I enjoyed Mister Dos, the series is getting better and I hope to see more of Country Boy in the future. Could he be the one???? I’m looking forward to Mister Tres.
Mister Dos was a super sweet, quick read, and I enjoyed it a lot. Anthea was completely out of her comfort zone this time away in the country! There she meets really nice people and Country Boy who is totally swoon worthy, hard working and protective; all the things a girl wants. Anthea learns a lot there during her stay, and I can’t wait to see where the story takes her next!
I liked this book better than the first. It feels complete even though it is a short read. Good work, Belle.
Mr Dos is Athena second guy of her 12 month of stories. A quick and steamy read for sure. I did like Mr Dos (Country Boy) a bit more then Mr. Uno. I am looking forward to Mr. Tres. I hope by the end of the series Athena finds her happy ever after.
Mister Dos, is the second book in this series.
I liked this story better than the first one. It was a bit more hot, and had more funny moments.
This is the second book to Mister Uno and I have to say it is getting better! Mister Dos actually has more interaction between the characters as to where Mister Uno didn’t have as much. This one really started dragging me in to the concept of the series. I can’t wait to find out who the heroine chooses to give her heart to! This is going to be a wild ride I’m sure.
Quick, easy read – done and dusted in half an hour.. light hearted with a pinch of swoon thrown in. Anthea meets her Mr Dos (assignment no.2) when she takes a trip out to the country …and boy Mr protective alpha Country Boy could be my bodyguard any day !! We don’t get a back story to the leading males in these stories so far, it’s all about the here and now, so while it’s a little difficult to form an attachment to the character that’s what these stories are about.. Anthea isn’t meant to form a connection.. it’s very much get the story and move on.. though this time I think she definitely would have had more reservation. I’m hoping that by no.12 she gets a HEA with one of her men !!
Mr Dos is book two in Belle Brooks Mister Mister series.
It’s a great quick read that kept me turning those pages until there were none left to turn.
Country boy is my type of boy. I can’t wait for the next installment.
