She’s his deadly obsession. He’s her dark secret.MistOur secret tore us apart turned us into enemies. He doesn’t know that I’m keeping a bigger secret from him. Or so I tell myself as I fall harder and deeper for him all over again. I need to stop before the blood … deeper for him all over again.

Hawk
She thinks I don’t know.
She thinks she can hide just because I left her alone for fifteen years.
See, I never left.
I’ve been watching, scheming, and calculating until the right moment to strike.
I’m done lurking in the shadows.
Our secret isn’t scary. I am.
Misted is a dark mafia romance, romantic suspense, and a killer romance. For a better understanding of Team Zero’s assassination world, you might want to read the previous books in the series. Misted is a second chance romance, has no cliffhanger and no cheating, and ends on a HEA. Due to language and sexual content, this is advised for mature audience only. more
5 stars!! Mist and Hawk are my absolute FAVORITE of the series thus far!!
This is the 4th book in the “Team Zero” series. This book can be read as a stand alone but I think the backstory will give you a little confusion. Just start from the beginning!!
Omg I was not a big Mist fan prior to this book but damn I have definitely changed my mind!! Hawk is sexy as sin and exactly perfect. I don’t think he is messed up in the head either like some of the other guys. He is just super possessive and caring but will snipe a man no problem. Lol. And these two together is fireworks! True love!!
I like how the more we go with this series the more we find out about Hades and how shit runs. I am super curious about Ink and Flame. I can’t wait for their books. I enjoyed this book quite a bit. It was fast paced but also these two have a history and therefore we were able to travel back in the past to their journey.
Superb writing skills, great plot, characters you love to hate and hate to love make this a definite 5 star read!!
**I received this book as an ARC and in return gave my honest review**
Misted
Rina Kent gives us our first female Team Zero story with Misted. Both Mist and Hawk are both first generation Team Zero and had a kinship from the beginning. It grew to be love as they got older as you see with all the flashbacks throughout the book. Although being under Hades was never a good thing. The relationship ended between the two with hatred as the main factor. Even after all the years that have gone by that hatred remains between them but for two different reasons. These two are such badasses and is my fave couple.
This book as I’ve said before is very Bourne Identity-ish as the members of Team Zero are made to be killing machines by Hades and his lackeys with the use of a drug called Omega.
The passion between Hawk and Mist jump from the pages of this book. Their feelings for each other is so volatile. There is a thin line between love and hate as these two are teetering on that line. Misted is action packed but not lacking the romance in this romantic suspense. I love this series as it keeps you wondering, guessing and hoping that they finally bring the mysterious Hades down. Rina Kent has pulled out all the punches with this one. Misted will have you feeling all sorts of emotions as you follow the journey of Hawk and Mist. Start this series today!
Another awesome story from the Omega Team Zero series as it continues to get down right dirty. It is filled with an enormous amount of raw emotions and gut-wrenching challenges for the team. In the previous book, it was determined Hawk was to be released instead of Ink from the Pit by Hades. Mist was a tad hesitant but relieved to hear the great news of his impending freedom as their history begins with her initial entry into the Pit with Shadow and Ghost. She endured the most gruesome things in the Pit and kept it a secret from Hawk to keep him safe for fifteen years.
Ink was released and determined to find Mist because he was told she betrayed him and his reasons for being kept in the Pit. It appears revenge turned into renewed love where there was no depths too deep.
There are many secrecy, betrayal and stalking among the Team Zero members that leaves the question of who can you trust? The plot is intricate and full of suspense and danger, so you will not be able to put the book down! I’m definitely looking forward to reading Ink’s story as he is the dark, twisted and sadistic assassin killer.

4.5 Sadistic Stars!
Wow, I didn’t think I could ever like Mist, but the Author has changed my way of thinking with her addictive and gritty story of Hawk and Mist. I could not put this one down, it had me hooked. There is so much I want to say, but I don’t want to give anything away. This story is complete with sexiness surrounded in dark themes, it was emotional and twisted, it was intense and unique ~ I Team Zero in all it’s dark glory!
OMG! This story is absolutely fantastic!! This isn’t
Your run of the mill romance read, this is a story about 2 people who live and breathe for each other!! Things happened in the past and they were
Separated. Only that is only existing. Neither one will have any feelings except the day to day living they must endure. The hopes and dreams that they had for each other go up in smoke. But dear reader, all is not lost! An HEA does actually exsist! But not after some grueling twits and turns. You will not want to miss reading this!!

This book was a great read. Although this book is part of the series, each book focus’s on the relationship of one couple. This couple has a deep connection, both trying to protect each other. There’s a chemistry and a bond that can never be broken. The other characters also plays a part in each other’s lives, like a close family. There’s plenty of heat too!
Intense and compelling, this book quickly entangled me in its dark and twisty web. The book focuses on Mist and Hawk’s story. It’s a read that is gripping, gritty, raw, emotional, painful, action-packed, sometimes ugly, and filled with heartache. This book can be read as a standalone and it will still deliver an excellent reading experience. In my opinion though, I think you will miss out on the depth and richness that can only be achieved by reading the full series. Characters reappear, events are referenced and there is an overall story line that continues to unfold during each book. This angst filled read is a poster child for “Looks Can Be Deceiving” and to not make assumptions. As someone that has read the previous books, I was still completely thrown for a loop by the stunning revelations about this couples shared history and about the characters themselves. Mist was so much more than you ever anticipated. Her strength, love and endurance were incredible and she fast tracked herslf to the top of my favorite heroine list. Hawk was hot, alpha and broody. In short, he was my kind of swoony. Together these two made a truly melt your heart and touch your soul couple. I feel that this is a romance that should not be missed.
I am fairly new to this author. I found when I went back and read the other stories in the series I liked this story more. This story is about Mist and hawk. She is the first female in Team Zero. Both are first generation and this brought them together. I didn’t care for all the flashbacks and this book has a lot. I found it continually took me from the current storyline. After several twists and turns this couple ended up hating each other and ended their relationship and the story picks up several years later when their hatred seems to be just as strong. I found this book to be more of an action/suspense but it was Interesting just not my cup of tea.
MISTED! I am in love with this book. This is the best book in Team Zero Series and one of my favourite from Rina. I loved Mist’s character. Strong. Bold. Fierce. Beautiful. Stunning. She did EVERYTHING (even made him believe that she betrayed him that she was a heartless bitch, oh she had the biggest heart among all) to protect Hawk. Hawk…huge. Muscled. Powerful. Focused. He makes sure that she pays for her betrayal. He was hell bent on hating her, making her pay for her betrayal yet he was her protector. Mist/Hellion & Hawk broke my heart & stitched it back. I was heartbroken, heartaching, tearing up, melting. This book sucked all my emotions. “HUG” this one word, ONE WORD was the only vulnerability those two allowed themselves. Super Steamy. Heartbreaking. Second Chance Story. Strong Woman.
This book was gripping, well written & the chemistry between the characters sizzled throughout this wonderful read.
Well done Rina. I look forward to more!
You can’t always keep your heart locked down when your past comes roaring back to life
Misted is a fantastic fifth book in the Team Zero series by Rina Kent. I really love the way this author is able to weave together complex plots with fascinating characters, both main and supporting, into an enthralling and completely mesmerizing story.
This book is the story of Mist and Hawk. They have a complicated and intense history from when they were young, fifteen years ago. At one point in time they were in love and they were everything to each other. That is until Mist betrayed Hawk to his core. As a result of this he maintains a lot of anger and hatred towards he and he has planned to make her pay for her betrayal. But Mist is strong and a fighter and she will not be taken down by Hawk so easily. They have a real back and forth and emotional roller-coaster ride between them. When someone threatens Mist he is the first to want to protect her against any and all. But the question becomes can he ever trust her again or even forgive her for what she did. But she has secrets that may explain why she had to betray him and save herself.
This story is a jumble of suspense, danger, violence, betrayal, darkness and of course a lot of twists and turns.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Mist and Hawk was a really good story. I went into this book with no expectations but, I was so engrossed in this story I did not move for hours. Nice and slow read.
Mist and Hawkes story.
Mist kept some secrets that of what she endured she never wanted Hawke to know. But he knew things because he never left. There is a killer amonst them danger and suspense. A renewed love and betrayals are here too. Some of the previous books characters ate mentioned and some things are brought up from their stories. There is some background information on Hawke and Mists previous relationship. Alot of horrible memories of being tortured. Memories of cut removing their child and exacting revenge on tne doctor that did that. There is some much time skipped. Alot of blood, fighting, sorrow and TIME. FIFTEEN YEARS OF TIME. The surprise at the end was joyous for once in this book.
I received a advance copy of this book for my honest review.
Mist has an air about her, making her always friendly never a friend, this is her way of protecting herself after all she has lived through nobody will ever get close again, and now Hawk the man who hates her is here to help out. Their history is private, until Mist steps over the line and Hades abandons her, and that when enemies attack. OMG I have always wondered about Mist and Hawk, never in my wildest dreams did i ever think this, and that’s why this series is such a winner, I am hooked
This is the 5th book I’ve read written by Rina Kent; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This is another wonderful addition to this series. The characters have so much depth to them. The plot and the characters are dark at times, but this only makes the bits of light shine even brighter. This is a wonderful story that is a must read for lovers of this genre.

I enjoyed this new story in the “Team Zero” series. I really am enjoying the books in this series. The stories just keep getting better and more intriguing. They are a tad dark with some suspense, danger and steam plus lots of twists and turns. Mist and Hawk’s story is nicely written and developed. Very good and definitely worth reading!!!!
Loved Mist and Hawk’s story from beginning to end! Secrets, lies, betrayal, mystery, action, suspense, romance……this story has it all! This was my favorite book of the series so far and I have loved them all! I loved that Hawk and Mist got their second chance at love and settled some of the lies and betrayal between them. Can’t wait for the next book!
Team Zero Series continues with book number five, a new standalone, second-chance, dark mafia romance, Misted by Rina Kent! I have been completely obsessed with the members of Team Zero ever since I read Crowed: A Hitman Romance (Team Zero Book 2). I have been quick to snatch up every single release since! Misted is a part of a series but all books in the series can be read as a standalone. I have enjoyed all of the books in the series thus far, but Misted, WOW! I am completely blown away with our FIRST ruthless lady of Team Zero, and she has most definitely met her match with Hawk!
Told in dual POV, Mist and Hawk’s relationship started years ago when they were both thrown in the hell named The Pit. If you have been reading the series you’ll know what I’m talking about, if not then let’s just say it’s a horrible, horrible place run by a despicable man named Hades. The two forged a bond while in the Pit training to be assassins and going through Omega experimentations.
Until Mist betrays Hawk.
For 15 years these two have stayed away from each other.
For 15 years the hate has built and built and built.
But now Hawk is back, and he wants to make Mist hurt as much as she hurt him. But what Hawk doesn’t know is everything that happened years ago, happened for a reason. And it’s not the one he’s thinking.
So when Ghost leaves town and calls Hawk in to help out with the warehouses and Le Salon in his absence, Mist will be forced to come face to face with the man that hates her, and the man that she’s loved from afar for the better half of her life.
“She used to be my heaven. Now, she’s a disease with no fucking cure.”
WOW! So I have to be honest, I am completely in love with all of Team Zero but I must say, prior to this book… I did NOT like Mist… like at all. I have no clue how in the world she did it but Rina completely changed my opinion of the “old hag” in Misted.
Kent is still a new-ish author with six releases under her belt and a whole lot more coming soon but over the last few releases, I have watched her writing and her style develop and absolutely excel and with Misted, she killed it! Absolutely wonderful!
“Your madness is my drug and I keep falling like an insane person in the asylum.”
I love how the story flipped back and forth between the past and present, while sometimes that can get confusing, the pages were well marked so you knew exactly when and where each scene was taking place. Everything flowed really cohesively.
Mist, now like I said I didn’t care for her at first but watching her with Hawk and then finding out WHY she did what she did in the past and EVERYTHING that had happened that led up to her doing what she did, GAHHH. My heart broke for her, and for Hawk. She’s strong, resilient, loyal to a fault, and an all-around badass b***h!
“I want to smother her, own her, and become the fucking air she breathes.”
Hawk we really didn’t know too much about, he was being held captive by Hades up until recently so we didn’t really know anything about him until he showed up to “help” Mist in Ghost’s absence. But we quickly find out, he’s alpha all the way! He’s quiet, so when he speaks you know it’s important, strong, broody, protective, and extremely in love with Mist even though he wants to hate her so, so bad for the wrongs that she has done to him.
“That wasn’t torture. That was my gradual descent to fucking insanity.”
These two… there were just so much betrayal, pain, and secrets between them that the love that was there (that had ALWAYS been there) was shoved to the back. Their relationship is volatile at times but man oh man did it make for some sizzling chemistry! They have been through so, so much that you can’t help but root for them to FINALLY make it TOGETHER! Trust me, keep the tissues on standby because there are a couple of scenes that will break you down, guys!
The steamy scenes were smoking hot, but the book wasn’t overfilled with so much sex either that it would make you want to skim. Oh, and can I just say that table scene… when you read it, you’ll know EXACTLY what I am talking about, change of panties, please!
“This will be mine.” He thrusts another finger inside my slick entrance so I’m full with him. “This has always been mine. The sooner you accept that, the better.”
The ending… GAHHHH! Be still my heart. If any characters deserved a happy ending, it was these two, and they most definitely got it.
“I choose you. Even if I’m fucking dying, I’ll choose you over myself, Hellion.”
There’s action, suspense, angst (oh my, the angst!), awesome well developed main characters as well as secondary characters, and so, so much more! I loved seeing Shadow (#ShadowsMineILickedHim), and I can NOT wait for the rest of Team Zero to get their stories especially Flame and Ink, there’s something dark and devious about those two. But I REALLY can’t wait for the little psycho barbie doll, Scar, to get her story, I have a feeling that one is going to be CRAZY!
Obviously, I’m a fan of #TeamZero and I am beyond ready for the next installment in this kickass series, and to FINALLY see Team Zero come together to bring Hades down for good!
I highly recommend Misted, as well as the rest of Team Zero!
“Hug.”
Love like theirs never dies only lays hidden until the truth is told.
by sewsummore
This was a dark story of a love that turned to hate between a young man and a young woman who were kidnapped, drugged and turned into killing machines. Hawk believed that Mist had betrayed, instead she had saved him with the cost of his hatred her only reward. This book forms part of a series, none of which I had read previously but will search out and read. Mist carried so much heartbreak within her while his hatred was what fed Hawk’s determination to survive and make her suffer for the lies she had told. When the story ended there was a happy surprise that enchanted me, confirming my belief that a love like theirs never dies only lays hidden until the truth is told.
